Your new Bible looks great, so far. I, too, have started reading from the beginning, again. I just finished Genesis and am on to Job (before going to Exodus). My life goes through ups and downs like that too. It can be very discouraging, especially with the economy the way it is. You are not alone. God does hear your prayers, and He knows your heart and intentions. I hope you feel better soon!
I think we all reach a day or moments where we struggle to pray thinking it’s not working. For me, I feel guilty when I continue praying for the same things over and over as if God forgets or as if praying for it more will help it get answered. Lol. I feel like we are supposed to give it to God and then let go. But, I also try to tell myself that he wants us to talk to him, so who cares if I’m saying the same things- that’s what’s on my mind constantly during that season! The devil wants us to doubt and he wants us to worry that we are asking too much… and he’s a liar 😊 God knows we’re human and he is happy when we come to him. And he gives us mercy on the days we question his response time. ❤
Yes, and one thing I'm also trying to do, like you say with the prayers that you are repeating, I always felt that saying a simple quick request isn't enough, it has to be long and drawn out, but then I feel like that is because my faith isn't resting in God. I want to be like the Roman officer who said if Jesus from where He was could just say that his servant is healed, then that is all that he needed, because his faith believed in the power and will of God. So now I'm practicing short, simple prayers 😊 But I hope God blesses and helps grow your prayer life and your relationship with Him 💐

Wow, wow! What a fantastic video? I have a really bad memory! In my Bible, l have a lot of sticky notes. The notes have details about a person or an event. The notes help me to remember people and events that happened. It is my first time Bible journaling. As l go along, l am learning of ways to make reading the Bible easy to remember. There are so many names and places that l feel like my head is about to explode 😁😁 Your videos have given me so many ideas for my next bible journaling. I am taking notes on things you say or have done in your bible.

The Psalms are great to pray when we are feeling discouraged. It echoes our emotions. And God understands. I'm feeling similar to you, that God is not answering some big urgent prayers and I'm talking to Him about it, the doubt, the despair, the anger, etc.
I thought of not posting that video because I sounded down, and I thought that wouldn't be good. But then I thought there might be people out there who feel the same. I'm mostly a very happy person, but some days when problems keep coming, or are ongoing for so long and there's no change, I get angry and discouraged. And I want my videos to be real, and if I'm feeling like that, it is nice to share my feelings because we all I'm sure go through it. But it's about learning and growing and getting back up again. I hope God gives you the strength and endurance to carry on despite it seeming like your prayers aren't getting answered 🙏 and deep down we know He does, but I suppose He likes stretching our faith far and beyond 😅
