The luxury+ also gets the power side steps. That particular model has the 2 captains in the 2nd row so 6 seats total. If you ended up getting the bench 70/30 split config then you get a 7 seater. Im still waiting for someone to post up the cargo spa e with the 3rd rows up. I used to own a GX460 so im hoping that the 550 is a little more since i want to haul a Veer XL wagon around.
what would be the tire costs on 22" wheels? Does it come with tint? I am not sure why the manufacturer's pre tint the windows per customer's wish? 20% tint on windshield's will be great with 30% tint all the way around. I will also use the regular unlead for the gas.
Yes Overland a five seater or Premium, Premium+, Luxury and Luxury+ can seat up to seven passengers in three rows: 60/40-split folding bench in the second row A 50/50-split folding bench in the third row
Will the GX 550 have the auto stop start feature? I don't see the "A" button on the console or left of the steering wheel in this video, so I'm hoping that means Lexus decided not to include that annoying feature on the GX. Does anybody know for sure?..
@steevyovan1592 there was issues with the Thundra when it first came out with that exact engine. There is a few RUclips videos about it. Something with the turbo or along those lines. Hopefully they have taken care of those issues.
It was the waste gate actuator and it was isolated to certain batches from that manufactuer, disappointing for those owners for sure but toyota seems to have solved that. @@PhiCongDoan7587
This 2024 GX Luxury display version does not appear to be as fancy as the existing 2023 GX Luxury trim. Not sure if the leather upholstery is present or not being adequately highlighted in this video. The new GX will eventually be a great vehicle in two or three years, but I think some kinks will need to be tweeted out of this new model first, the mpg is definitely too low for one thing.
I read on Lexus today the towing is 9,045 (give or take 30-40) on the premium & premium + and overtrail & overtrail +, but the luxury & luxury + are the lower 8,000 ish towing. Either way, it’s much higher than the coming 2024 Land Cruiser towing capacity. I don’t understand the dark, dreary, and drab interior. For the price range it’s so underwhelming and kind of disappointing. Lighter interior colors look luxurious- in cars, homes, everywhere. Who wants to spend 70-80K to get in a dark dungeon? Disappointing considering they crushed the exterior updates 1000%. Gas mileage is comical.
That’s probably gonna be like 80k - 85k, and after taxes other fees prob 90k+ USD, and if mark ups are still around in some years, then probably 95k - 110k+ 🤔🤔 Assuming that the base model is around 63k
Stunning vehicle on the exterior! Why the continuous choice to put black or dark color interiors inside of a nice vehicle?! we could probably visualize all the cool interior features if we had a color that complemented the vehicle! Come on Toyota! It may be cheaper for you, but this is too nice of a vehicle, to have such drab, dark and dreary interior! Especially on a luxury vehicle! And at this price point! Great job as always, Jeff!
Agree 100%! The interior is a dark dreary dungeon - WHY?! Who’s paying 80K to spend hours in a Black & Gray box? I don’t see any better interior options online either. Get some women involved in the design options for the interior - IT MATTERS.
No, this is the Lexus equivalent of the Fifth Generation J250 Series Land Cruiser Prado, which will be marketed as the Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado or Land Cruiser 250 depending on which market you're in.
Sharp looking GX. Sure runs circles around the outgoing GX460. I presume the Land Cruiser will look very similar. I hope. Still prefer the Toyota marque over the Lexus marque/name.
Hi Jeff, Mark levinson is not one of the best sound systems!!! It’s the worst because I have a 2023 Gx and it keeps shutting off one due to Lexus putting a fuse cutout into it to protect their known blown speakers!!! They put the fuse cutout in to all the new Lexus with the mark levinson system.please do your research first before making such statements, call the Lexus manufacturer and ask them about it.

Amazing! That white on black contrast looks so damn good!
I agree!!
That looks really cool. What does everyone else think of it?
Land Rover Defender killer
The exterior and mechanicals are great, but the interior is so drab. It needs a nice open pore wood trim option.
For their flagship car I agree it needs to look better than the nx
@@Dreamer10888GX is not their flagship
Seriously!! Needs wood trim, lighter color options on seats, door, dash, and headliner. What I’ve seen is grey, dull, and sad.
Luxury + yet no luxury! No beautiful wood, fake suede, ton of basic Toyota plastic that looks like a Tundra pickup.
Isnt all lexus like that anyway, theyre more toyota than luxury
You did awesome job bro! Music samples are off the hook!!!
Hah! Excellent
Where are the sequential turn signals and cooled rear seats

More Ashley!❤
Do they have an option with a second row bench? I hate how everyone does captain chairs... that's one 1 more seat compared to a 2-row car...
Yes Overland a five seater or Premium, Premium+, Luxury and Luxury+ can seat up to seven passengers in three rows: 60/40-split folding bench in the second row
A 50/50-split folding bench in the third row
What's the height of the lowest point when you open the hatch?
Jeff, this is at the LA Auto show? Looks like an Overtrail in the background?
Awesome!- thank you for your very detailed explanation of the trims on your different channels- love it 💖
Would great if the power step came on the LX600!!!!
Wow it looked like you and Ashley had some chemistry ☺️. Did you take her out after the video?
Your reviews are perfect for yiur fellow GenXer crew 🤩 Love your videos! 🙌
Hey Jeff, great video my favorite color and the Lexus lineup is eminent white pearl with all black inside. I called this the storm trooper edition.❤
Yeah I liked it! First time anyone has seen this in public I believe
That is the exact spec I ordered. Did you notice a difference in leather quality?
Looks nice. Less trdJon and more LexusAshley though.
Lol I’ll tell her
You always make me laugh, great videos!!
Hope you have a great day!!
Overall I love it, but console between second row captain seats is a joke... check 2023 mazda cx-9 signature, this is what I call premium look console
Your a very interesting reviewer...was it about the GX 550??? Lexus will be thrilled, U the 👨 man!

Looks nice. Do you think gx550 will have some bugs ? Since it’s first redesigned gx550
There’s always a possibility for it. But if I were to trust any manufacturer to get it right on the first go, it would be Toyota/Lexus.
Well said

Is it true that Lexus GX 550 2024 only for North America and Australian markets?
I’m not sure
The exterior looks great but the interior doesn’t look all that luxurious to be honest. I hope it looks more luxurious in person.

The more equipment the lower the tow rating. 8,000 lbs for Overtrail (No third row) Luxury/Luxury+ ranges: 7,145 to 6,780
The Premium and Premium+ also have 8000 lbs tow rating, so those are good options if you want the tow capacity plus the third row seating.

What is the tire size for the 20" wheels??
I need this as a plug-in hybrid

@@allilou5048agreed! Where’s the light tan leather option?
Does the driver seat have lumbar support?
In 30 years you will be glad u picked it
Would prefer bench second row seat.
That's an option also.
It’s nice but does not seem as elegant for a Lexus. Maybe in person. But does not really do it.
Beautiful
Love it,wonder what will be the cost?
Looks great! Is the Land Cruiser at the show?
No it didn’t make it :(
Does the Sideview mirror fold automatically when parked?
When locked like other models.
It's beautiful

Weird how this appears to be a much better, well rounded vehicle than the Sequoia
Yeah shocking that a vehicle with 1-1/2x the price tag is more well rounded 🙄
@@tammiehinkle2040 Yeah , shocking you can't do math. The gx isn't going to be more than the sequoia

Only two passengers for the third row... Too small.
Wow 😯
Its a g wagon for half the price
It doesn't strike me as Lexus quality!
I feel the same way, it looks like an upscale Toyota vehicle, not an upscale Lexus!
Luxury? Where? All plastic. No wood trim. No quilted leather. Lexus is fast becoming plain at best.....
why this is not a DIESEL HYBRID,is beyond me ,that would give some crazy MPG's for this beast!!! toyota please start making those !!!
Trd Jon needs to keep it low. His voice is in the video. Don’t buy him coffee Jeff.
He was filming first and I asked if I could join in so he proved how nice he is in person :)
Dude your hip hop call outs are $ 😂
Love the car, hated how the review was done.
luxury Why aren't there seven seats。
You can get a 7 seat option.
woo
Captin chairs with a stupid cheap center council . For that amount of money they could do better
👍 😷
This will be very expensive
So dull from the inside … just asking so much because if the Lexus sign upfront !!! Not impressive at all … although a good video

Looks cheap inside
Same tiny and horrible trunk space with 3rd row up.
Cargo space in PLASTIC. For 80k dollars. Really? Is it "LUXURY"?
Do you have a review of the most basic trim?
That’s the Premium trim and I’ve only seen the Premium+ trim. You can look at my channel. That’s the dark gray one and I filmed it a few times.
You called it luxury +? Looks so cheap…
My 460 run circles around this.
