Biting Frost is an older augment for Frost even predating his slight rework. This is an insane mod that gives 200% CC/CD and doesn't scale with strength, meaning you do not need positive strength for Frost to use it well. Frost was also reworked to only need 167 Strength to full strip on Avalanche, making negative Strength builds not only possible, but actually desirable to open up more slots for Range and Energy Economy.
This augment works like a critical chance or critical damage mod on almost all weapons in the game. The exception has been Angstrum, Gammacor and Gorgon Incarnons. Precisely, this interaction only affects projectile Incarnon modes of 3rd Wave Incarnons. Yes, it doesn't affect any of the older Incarnons, be it in Incarnon mode or not, projectile or not.
This in particular is a massive buff for Gammacor Incarnon, who suffers from lack of good innate elements, lack of accessible grouping utility due to requiring Incarnon mode, lack of scaling damage, and lack of usable pull radius on the Incarnon mode shot. For all weapons shown, the critical interaction alone results in a 2.5x total damage increase. Including the critical damage from Biting Frost results in a roughly 4x overall damage bump. But Frost also armor strips, skyrocketing your damage and really letting these weapons shine. If you love red crit builds, this is the way to make these lesser Incarnons shine!
    Cheers!

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone but I run two Amber Energy shards on my Frost w/ a Rank 5 Fleeting and Molt Efficiency. This makes it so that each orb I pick up generates 62 energy and 1 rotation of Avalanche + Airburst costs 60 energy.

Just did damage testing on most of the primary weapons I own. Envoy works as others have mentioned, plus Stahlta and Kuva Chak. All have aoe components, so they clear groups quite well. Also, maybe this bug applies to projectile and aoe based weapons?
Edit: This works on Epitaph. It also works on both laetum incarnon mode and the Tenet Plinx, but only the alt fire. Seems like this just works on a few aoe weapons, although a large number don't work. Of those weapons, it works on some non aoe modes, like the epitaph charged shot, and the stahlta primary fire, but doesn't seem to work the same way on others, like the plinx, where it only functions on the aoe mode.
Edit 2: Bubonico and Strun incarnon also work. That completes my list as I have no more weapons to test, but I'd be happy to know what others work.

Use this combo for eZ shield gating:
Dispensary + Brief Respite + Equilibrium + Synth Fiber. That gives you full shields with a single cast of dispensary + basically infinite energy, health and ammo. Arcanes i use are arcane blessing (for fun lol) and arcane guardian but feel free to replace them with something like avenger + energize if you want.
For circuit you should use combat discipline + arcane avenger and arcane blessing to do even crazier dmg numbers while also not dieing from your aura mod.

Ive really been enjoying him with a tox latron with HM n that new cold cd multishot arcane, and then subsumed nourish for viral/gas/slash on incarnon. Then another tox tombfinger secondary with no forced slash, for viral/rad/tox and that headshot seeking arcane. Now im slotting his sibear for the theme, and its actually doing big red crit damage so it might just stay with him. This one doesnt get any neat nourish combos since my riven has tox, so its just viral/viral heavy attack spam, i could either go with a permanent x6 combo heavy attack spam, or go with the incarnon crit and see red crits on a x2 heavy attack spam, so far the dopamine red crits have won. I havent used the melee in disruption yet, but the other two were two tapping demolysts throughout the first hour, probably longer, but thats normally when i get bored or pubs get bored. All three are red crit millions of damage beasts that i think have found a permanent slot on my frost. Its bonkers to think that im happy using the sibear and frost in 2023, but hes easily gone from my prime with the least amount of time played to jumping up to my top 12 used over these last couple weeks

On top of that, you're also bringing a build for the... Gammacor? ... But, why exactly? Being a secondary, shouldn't it be left out so we can bring something different to kill Acolytes, or a status primer (Epitaph for example)?
Anyways, thank you for the video. I shall start building Frost following your guide sometime this weekend. :)

Frost seems pretty good, I just need to figure out a good all rounder build where I can spam 4 with good range/ duration and survive at the same time. I guess Nourish is the best subsume, gloom would be great if I could manage the energy economy. Ensnare maybe?
A bit off topic, but why aren't people using Cascadia Flare? I just discovered it, so I might be a bit off, but, it seems pretty good for weapons that proc heat (autos, shotguns, beams), it doesn't require kills, and it goes up to 480%(?) vs 360%(?).
I've actually been throwing heat mods in my "flex slots" just to be able to use it.

    • @noahedenborg4221

    • @Goosyx
      @Goosyx 8 месяцев назад

Cascadia Flare isnt used as much because of how you lose the stacks. When the timer runs out you lose all the stacks instead of how deadhead and merciless only lose 1 stack everytime the timer hits 0. Also deadhead gives extra HS damage and merciless gives extra reload speed.

    • @Wooskii1
      @Wooskii1 6 месяцев назад

@@Goosyx That's good to know, thanks!
I've been using flare on the Occucor which can be a pain to get going (you need kills to trigger the augment for status and CC) so flare seems to ramp the damage quickly with one heat mod, gets them extra beams & status/ cc. up right after the first kill.
I've been switching to Deadhead on my primaries (AoE meta is over) because I like the extra time between the stacks decaying.

Bubble will really only be used in defense or excavation missions but they really wont be needed. Avalanche will freeze everything except eximus but still armor strip them making them much easier to kill. His 2 can at least add 6 cold procs that will give you extra crit damage.

    • @StrutZ007

@@Goosyx Yeah I hear you bro... normally the bubble dies fast enough I don't have to bother popping it on high end content. I am really liking Frost right now especially in circuit. Interesting, but increased damage doesn't meaningfully increase KPM if enemies get armor striped. it helps against corpus which lacks armor in a first place, but they are very weak to begin with so I would argue that what you need is not better damage but better AoE (you are guaranteed to kill them if you touch them, so what you really need is a way to reach them)

Why not use his avalanche augment for overgaurd instead of sheild gating since you get multiple benefits like no knockback you can't get a status proc and it's higher scaling. Still could run an auger mod if yoy realy wanted for sheild gating too if it's a concern but also since you "spam" his avalanche the whole time I just feel like it's more convenient and save mod slots with better benefits. And then run molt efficiency for more duration while sheilds are active since you'll have overgaurd your sheild never get touched

It is a bug in the way that DE has no idea how to implement anything in their spaghetti code anymore and actually predict what will happen. This game's mechanics have become the most inconsistent mess i ever encountered in gaming and without content creators testing and explaining, it would be a complete clustertruck of inconsistencies noone knew their way through.
None of these things are interesting or "tech", it is just yet another thing not working as intended with all the stuff it interacts with. Expect no fix, though randomly it might get fixed by accident when they try to do/fix something else entirely.

This is a really neat one though i am always leery of leaning on bugs. Fortunately, my Frost build has a bug-free solution to solving the same basic problem that works with any good crit oriented weapon.
Frost imo needs two things to complete his kit: energy gain, and crowd kill. Avalanche is strong but it is expensive and it rarely is worth trying to kill with it. Simultaneously, he can't afford huge energy outlays (avalanche needs them) and he also can't really build huge strength.
Enter: Tesla Nervos with Tesla Bank. Now, that is a three augment build with Biting Frost and Icy Avalanche, but you can still hit all your breakpoints for strength with creatice accounting. But now not only do you get blue moon orbs from archon flow, but you can also use archon stretch, and tesla nervos proc it constantly. Tesla Bank gets around 16m AoE and on frozen armor stripped enemies it doesn't matter that it does electric damage.
The only downside is they can be unreliable to hunt mid mission, but they synergize well with a team and keeping track of the little buddies is just fun. Magus anomaly does a lot to give them a bit of extra crowd gathering to really make that AoE blast shine.

Only one small niggle, you should probably replace Ice Wave and not Snowball, so you can still pop bubbles if you need to with other people. Why would I bother to put up a bubble? Two reasons: 1) It unsticks enemies pretty reliably when they're caught. 2) Try it on any of the sentients on lua and laugh your ass off, just get right close to them and delete them with one button press.

Nice try, but Frost still needs a rework. An ACTUAL rework, not just tweaks. Reason? 3 abilities are trash and the 4th is expensive and Frost has one of the shittiest energy reserves in the game.
You want full strip, and you need more energy pool and also want to use augments, and 1 of your modslots (or 2 of your shard slots) are sacrificed for casting speed.
Here's what I would want from a rework.
New passive: Either Biting Frost or some buff / CC from cold procs, similar to how Ember gets strength from nearby heat procs
1: Either change for a new ability entirely or just make it affect more enemies
2: Either add scaling damage and let range affect it similarly to Oberon's Hallowed Ground, or replace it with an entirely new ability
3: Make it scale better against higher level, either by making it duration based or by just simply scaling with enemy level or some scaling from enemies affected in cold procs.
Destroying the Globe with 1 should cause a radial knockdown affected by range
Any enemy staying in the globe more than 3 seconds (scales inversely with duration, more duration, less delay and vice versa) freezes for 5 seconds (scales with duration). Once the freeze expires, should damage enemies for x % of their health,
And most importantly, let friendly bullets and projectiles pass through, similar to Gara's 4
    4. Increase the casting speed, make it cost 75 energy instead of 100

@@noahedenborg4221 I'm sorry but you are making terrible points that aren't based on facts but opinion. Let's start with your comparison with Rhino's energy pool and him needing an increase more than Frost does and that Frost doesn't have the worst energy pool. In terms of prime Warframes where we expect improved stats, Ash, Frost and Rhino all have the lowest base energy pools in the game of 150 and when you consider the playstyle and role of each frame I would argue that Frost needs a bigger energy pool than Ash and Rhino since he's a caster/defense frame and at times has to spam his abilities.
When it comes to his abilities he clearly needs work doing to his kit, Frost hasn't had a rework since 2015. His snow globe isn't the worst but it clearly needs improvements to help it scale better into late game instead of having to spam cast every 4 seconds to abuse the invincibility period. It could also receive a QoL improvement in the form of allowing allies to shoot into/through the globe and the health of the snow globe being correctly displayed in the UI, it is currently very buggy in that regard. Ice wave needs to be reworked or replaced by something new because it is currently useless without the augment mod and even with that it brings little utility, the ability is that bad that it should be used as your helminth slot. His first ability also needs a rework because it only has the utility of destroying old snow globes that you no longer need. His 4th is fine but could do with a casting speed increase.
In your 2nd comment I do agree that his passive is garbage and should be replaced with the biting frost augment or something similar.
