If you only need power strength on frost 4th ability, new "precision intensify" mod is a really good option
What it do how you get
@@kawaiicrocodile147690% strength on your 4th ability you get it from murmur enemies in whisper of the wall missions
@@kawaiicrocodile1476 drops from new enemies in the Whispers of the Wall zones. It's classified as an Intensify mod (Intensify is in the name) so you can't use both. Instead of granting 30% strength to all skills like regular intensify, Precision Intensify grants *90%* to just your ultimate (4th) ability. You really only need additional strength on Avalanche, for the armor stripping in one cast, and to boost the amount of Overguard you get from its augment.
It drops from the fragmented boss, the two flying mobs (the circular and triangular one) and the hollow vein (the one that looks like a worm rolling across the map@@kawaiicrocodile1476
@@kawaiicrocodile1476It's from the new murmur enemies. Specifically from The Anatomizer, Hollow Vein, and Severed Warden. Apparently it can also drop from one of the Fragmented bosses.
My favorite Frost meme build going back years has been the "Lucy" build (after the Scarlett Johansen sci-fi movie) with max duration and efficiency and MINIMUM strength. The you can basically perma-freeze every non-eximus for the entire mission. Very amusing for missions that don't require killing like mobile defense. Add some grouping abilities and you can stack all the frozen mobs out of the way in a corner like cordwood.
i'm gonna go goof around with this right now! That sounds like fun
Oh man... interception has set spawn limits right? Just keep pulling their frozen bodies around and racking up the captures 🤣🤣🤣
I’m happy for you. I’m a forever Excal main (Umbra usage is 85%), but it’s nice to know other older frames are getting some love.
Umbra is fucking goated imo
Noice, excal and excal umbra are my top most used
I recently got back into Excalibur! I subsumed Pillage on him for his 1, and pop his 1-2-3 in a row and anyone left standing is totally one-shot left, so then I clean up with secondary. It’s been working in steel path so far. Was curious if you’d like to share how you use him? Because I’m sure there’s way better ways lol
fun thing about chyrinka pillar is that any qorvex can empower it or u can use mandonel.
imagine this 4 players with pillar with 1 being qorvex and u stack them all on 1 spot and qorvex uses his 4 on them.
qorvex is strength based and has breech surge.
2:32 - 2:43
very true statement
I literally don’t even need to start the video to know this is going to be a banger. Thanks for all the guides over the years!
Your color scheme goes hard. I love it.
Awesome vid. I'll definitely try to replicate this build! Killer music also! 😎😎
mine is excal with xata's whisper instead of javelin,
working towards kullervo right now for his subsume,
great survivability (adapatation), movement speed (efficiency for his 1), damage (chromatic blade + gladiator stat stick + 200% strength),
just all round fun!
will give frames like frost a try with a setup like yours, need a bit more brain dead fun lately
Thanks!
I just recently finished putting together a saryn that armor strips with spores and nukes with dual ichor. The interaction between xata toxic lash and melee influence is truly beautiful.
i had a build at one point that used the globe as a weapon. it used the fact that enemies froze when touching the globe, plus the old mechanic how things were thrown out when the globe was cast. when frozen enemies impacted a wall, they had a chance to shatter. it was a nice mechanic to use at the kuva defense mission. they nerfed the build by i guess increasing the weight of enemies, so they werent flung out from the area of cast as hard or far as they used to.
2:58 Damn, it also boosts your Jamage? Awesome
This morning I got my dual ichor incarnon, and of course spent hours leveling and using it with saryn. I’ve been bouncing between frames as of late, but styanax is also one getting a lot of usage.
One of my earliest WF memories is you saying you tend to prefer CC frames etc. like Frost, showing him off on screen. I'm glad you're also enjoying Mag a lot nowadays, cause that's my favorite frame overal and I picked her as my starter with reasoning similar to yours, I bet a lot of people don't realize how much they'd love her, especially nowadays. Magnetize is definitely the coolest ability in the game for me, the mechanics and how you interact with it are such cool way to achieve what it does. It's offense and defense in one and shuts down all threats and destroys (basically) anything if used well (Damn your immunity Stalker), the theme of magnetism is badass and they used it so well.
Kullervo with the syam and aqua blades since it resembles vergil so much
I was always kind of fond of the "Icewave Impedance" augment. I like how the edge of the ice patch creates a grouping point as the faster enemies catch up to the first ones to get slowed. I'm going to mess around with that some more once I get the last mats I need for this Torid incarnon. It was pretty fun with the Torid in the past.
It's also one of the few CC things that actually work on Eximus and I too enjoy that augment. Lets me focus on another part of the map for a while and Eximus don't get to instantly maul my overguard ^_^
@@NinjaSyao not only does it work on eximus through overguard, it also works on acolytes and demolishers.
Demolishers are immune to most CC have a purge effect every few seconds that clears all the CC on them that you can apply like khora's. But ice wave impedance? That stays on the ground so keeps slowing them. Frost is the only frame that can keep a demolisher CC'd, and his weapon buffs/armor strip make killing them easy.
@@googlygoink every frame can cc demos with gloom...
0:11 Hey that's what I used to say in college!
I like to find a slot for Archon Stretch, which is also really useful with something like Diriga, cause the Arc Coil precept can proc it. And Synth Deconstruct because Arc Coil is technically a damaging move. Couple that with the bond mod that gives it extra damage types after an eximus kill, and the bond mod that adds on those damage types to its abilities (in this case arc coil) and there's a LOT of priming going out, which feeds into that same bond mod reducing the cooldown for Arc Coil, thus feeding even further into the loop.
For me I love a guandao prime melee nekros, chill in sp hacking everything to pieces while farming lots of mats.
But with the advent of purple shards I'm currently loving kulervo, and I'm just working my way through all the melee weapons adding arcane and trying my luck to see how high I can get his no1 to. Just love laughing to myself when u see a 100mil plus crit. Trying all the old zaws currently.
Nice! I have always loved frost and i am saddened that he is being left behind but yeah freezing and armor strip with crit frost is my setup. He is good with decent survivability.
Frost and Mag are my favorites so far! Just so much fun!
Kullervo for me. Thanks for the video. 🙂
I've rocked with Frost for years! His abilities respond so well to any buff and just the Umbra mod trio is more than enough to give avalanche full armor strip, his ice bubble a huge hp boost and really good overall ehp. I added 3 azure tau shards for extra armor and shields, Primed Vigor Primed Redirection, Kahl's Flow mod, Adaptation, Arcane Grace and the shield Regen arcane as the basis of Frost's "Big Tank" build.
The Grimoire with the energy Regen mod + Nourish is the BEST combo ever for Frost! Unlimited energy, electric and viral procs to feed CO builds, instant death after avalanche (without Biting Frost) and enemy CC....all at the same time. Just a good freakin time!
Mine is Baruuk Prime for tanking, 5 Taufordged Violet Shards for crit damage, Arcane exposure, Glaive Prime, Epitath primer, Crit kitty Adarza, Naramon damage buff, combo building Rauta, Eclipse Subsumed. All producing large red crit numbers on my glaive attacks taking out almost anything.
I run my frost with ensnare to just group enemies up after or before I cast avalanche. I tried to use air burst but enemies who are frozen cannot be moved by air burst but ensnare can so it was obvious which was the choice for me. Unless its been changed since I last tried that last year sometime. Though I keep a high range build with 250 range with the new precision intensify and 2 basic red archon shards for strength with molt augmented. Can get 100% armor strip in only the first few kills without sacrificing range.
I'm using frost with incarnon sibear (+10 combo count when hitting enemies with cold status).
It's insane. One spin (with crushing ruin) and you're max combo count.
I use frost quite alot and honestly for having fun i actually use vial rush over his 1
Yessir but over the 2 is better fr , unless ya bubbles not tanks or you just don’t use bubble
@@KhristianM.A bit of a hot take but i actually use the 2nd augment with this build
Speaking of *cool* builds, there is one 9999 viable build I made I dubbed
*The Orb Weaver* which is a Khora whip subsume. You gather enemies in a group, apply viral and then push them into the ground with snowball, they die to true dmg in 1 cast.
There is also the *PermaFrost* to just freeze and crit indefinitely, Pillage subsume.
Or *Shattering Storm* with low duration but full armor strip and Gloom for cc.
A really fun build is to use Khora's ensnare on his 2, and a xoris explosion build. Insane crowd control. Ensnare, press 4, throw xoris, BOOM. All gone. Hella fun.
I mean imagine if frost had an exalted ice axe or something similar to Excalibur but makes it out of ice
My comfort build is also a Frost. I have Roar over Ice Wave and run a Quellor, a Gaze Kitgun, and Orthos Prime. I have no ammo issues, max armor strip, and overguard from Avalanche. I do use the Umbral mods for power strength though. It's been pretty restrictive. I think Ill have to move them off. Especially with the mods the comments are mentioning.
I solo with Frost. Tend to use the Ice Wave augment and just keep folks under control. Frost has been my go to frame for years now because I love characters with ice powers.
My go to buuld for braindead slaughter is valkyr with nourish and nautilus. Shes literally invulnerable, primed flow for plenty of energy, and nautilus' grouping means your slide attack will easily kill whole groups of movs in steel path.
Mine has 5 melee crit dmg shards cuz...why not.
Im so happy the hounds can come out of storage and solo steel path for me
I remember the days when Ice Wave was a single strip of ice. Glad to see Frost has had a resurgence of sorts!
Mah boi needs a buff still and some reworking
@@shaun10767 Nah he's strong as is, his kit just needs some refitting cause he has two useless abilities on hand
@@shaun10767 He's awkwardly designed and we should be able to shoot through globes in 2024 for sure, but he's got some quite strong augments too.
Still, if a frame has more than one lackluster ability, the time for some tweaks is on the horizon imo. Of course there's bigger priorities when Frost can bandaid himself much better than others, but I feel it may be inevitable. +That snowglobe tweak I mentioned IS a big priority to me, might as well focus on him next if it were up to me.
@@DawnAfternoon thats uh that's what im sayin
@@Gnurklesquimp2 i want him to have a portable eximus bubble to with a chill aura
Lovely video about Frosty the Snowman! I have a question: those shoulder pillars of light-what attachment is that?
My go-to fun (solo) frame is limbo with a gas weapon. I woud love a passive augment allowing allies to enter the rift or deal dommage to ennemies that aren't on the same plane as them (even with drawbacks)
Lenz with Primary Frostbite is what I use for this build.
I hope they give frosts prime variant an energy buff someday as it’s just way past due for it imho. Him along with a couple others.
"Icy McIcyBalls" i think that'll be my Frost setup name lol
my favorite setup right now is mag prime with an exergis, kuva nukor and dark dual split swords
We approve potato. Stay Tactical, sir.
5:45 My setup isn't quite at the "shut your brain off" tier, but it's certainly fun and I play it a LOT! It's Saryn with Combat Discipline and Arcane Avenger spreading Spore and all kinds of diseases with Dual Ichor Incarnon. Bonus Torid Incarnon because I love it, and Kuva Nukor because I can use the crit from Avenger on it. I mostly focus on melee, though. It's too fun!
Besides her, I've been loving Mag and Dagath as my caster frames, and Wisp as my brain off frame.
Running icy avalanche with adaptation is kinda whatever when one doesn’t affect the other , only thing really now with frost is a buff to his 1 and maybe some bubble changes , then getting a much better passive
I love playing hydroid with the new rework. its super fun to just spam his 1st ability with a white energy color and blind everyone.
+It gives you SO many short shield-gates whenever you have energy to shields conversion going on. Mine is an absolute tank with very little investment into it, and it scales well if I'm paying attention. Also just nice that you can just press 3 when you naturally see good opportunities already spamming that 1.
It's 1handed btw.! Absolutely bonkers with a Viral + Corrosive Torid Incarnon or the like, free debuffing and dmg. It's also OP with Breach Surge, I hadn't min/maxed my build and there was no Roar and iirc I just hit a casual 100 million dmg. I suppose the formula double-dips on Viral, while the removed armor would've double-dipped AGAINST the spark's dmg.
My go-to equipment is Loki with high duration for invisibility, Cedo, Laetum, and either Paracesis or Wolf Sledge. Being invisible constantly makes almost everything ridiculously easy.
Why Prime sure footed? Overguard makes you immune to stagger when it’s up and you want to keep it up almost constantly
McIcyBallz :D :D love it !
1:45 the zephyr gameplay reflex is strong with this one
All these new kids on the block and Frost is still cruisin along as cold as ever. 🥶
frost and mag skins just hit different
Wait, I had no idea Frost had built in armor strip, especially 100% at such a low strength requirement. I have been one of those players that thought he needed a rework because as mentioned, his defensive/CC kit has just been outclassed. But thats insane.
As for my goto crayon eater build, I've gotten Voruna now and I absolutely love her. I loved the concept before, and she was a reason I came back, but she has surpassed my expectations and more. I went with a no nonsense standard high duration high strength build, negative efficiency and neutral range with Ulfruns Endurance augment. Notable mods are Health Conversion, Energy Conversion, Equilibrium and Archon Stretch. 4, 1 and 3, click melee on enemy. Sometimes 2 if you're feeling spicy, but it's not an real AOE build.
I won't ever shutup about it but I want to revisit and rebuild my Saryn melee build. With all the newer mods I've missed out on as well as the Grimoire I think I can make something especially nutty with the Contagion Cloud augment and Archon Continuity.
2:55 CRIJAMMAGE. Noted.
Frost is in a better space for sure.
My fuck it build has basically been Redline Gauss with Reaper Prime. When you can make those red crit heavy attacks come out at the speed of a regular swing the slash procs stack up fast.
3:13 is what Merica said in WW2
My go to currently is Rhino. I keep alternating between him, Wisp, and Valkyr, but Rhino is currently my favorite, with Tharros Strike replacing Rhino Charge.
I used to use a defence strip subsume but not anymore, I went Nourish, replaced primed flow with Energy Nexus, and added 1 tau blue shard to get energy cap to 225 since I have blind rage. You have infinite energy and can have fun stomping and stunning everything while having op damage with nourish x roar 400% strength combo.
Nice I was the first view
Loved the vid, I didn't realize how strong frost was.
My go-to rn for "kill 'em all and never worry about anything" is Wisp w/Terrify subsumed over her 4. Endless health, good crowd control from her zaps, Breach Surge is of course godly, and anytime I want I can just delete armor from an entire room with Terrify. It's really not fair lol
Frost doesn't really need Brief Respite imo. As long as you have duration, strength and range, you can keep everyone CC'd and his overguard can buy him enough time to refresh his shield gate. As long as he has energy, he'll.survive. Even in really high levels.
As a demonstrable enjoyer of weird subsumes for Frost, I'd like to propose to you: Tesla Nervos!
Reasoning: You can see even on your own builds that Stretch is just kind of a great mod for Frost, and the only upgrade to stretch is Archon Stretch. However, Frost wouldn't see any benefit from that normally. But he does struggle with energy, Avalanche is not a cheap ability and needs to be cast regularly for sanity. Enter Tesla Nervos, which provide that crowd control you're looking for from Chyrinka pillars (if a bit more scattershot) and also do electric damage, giving Archon Stretch energy return. Add on Tesla Bank, and you can fill in a major gap in frost's repertoire as well: Frost is great at freezing and armor stripping enemies, but not great at killing huge swathes of them. Tesla Bank ensures that you can get ~16m explosions with high range that scale entirely off the health and shields of enemies you froze, greatly improving frost's killing potential with a weapon like the nataruk.
Fitting the build together has historically been difficult, but it's much easier and smoother now with Precision Intensify (only ability Frost needs strength on is his 4!).
My go to and favorite frame of all time to kills stuff in a flashy way is Mesa. I finally got her prime building, but it’s been so long since I’ve touched her build, you guys have any general tips to make her steel path viable? I haven’t even unlocked it yet to know 😅
Frost avalanche with thermal sunder is a deadly combo
There’s no kill like OVERKILL. :)
lol I use air burst on him because if you cast his 4 while the enemies are ragdolling the get stuck laying down. Lots of ground finishers lol
Its crazy that Warframe is such an old game yet still looks and plays amazing.
I realize that is due to DE's dedication and love put into the game, but it feels like a game as old as this should look like World of Warcraft or Everquest something 🤣
If Warframe were released today, I'd still think the graphics were really good, even compared to a lot of other AAA and AA releases.
Frost is my OG frame that I first fell in love with, but my go-to for funtimes is Saryn, even if I havent used her for months. I main Wukong for his versatility.
What are those flaming shoulder spikes? I’ve seen them a few times but don’t know what they are?
Qorvex Skill semms like a Good Option for Gloom when you dont want to lose too much energy, atleast for me
Mine is Atlas + Ceramic Dagger, just put some music and go Bonk everyone
Subsume thermal sunder. Cast avalanche, then thermal sunder heat. Armor strip, freeze, heat, then blast to knock everyone down.
Im as close to a Frost specialist as you can get in this game. He has been my main since the beginning and to this day I still use him more than any other warframe. Dont get me wrong, I love MOST the games frames (except Oberon) but frost just hits that spot. I've got 4 different built frost prime with very different polarities and shards just so I can run him in lots of different ways. He is just one of those frames that doesnt really have a bad mission type match up.
Frost is one of the few frames that I have built more then one (prime) for different build ideas. While not my main, he has been fun to break out and tweak over the many years.
Icy McIcyballs is a fantastic name
Mag + Nataruuk + bright gold energy. TASTE MY FEKKIN SUN!
I main Frost. I love playing Frost. He can armor strip, cc, and improve crit builds with the augment. Except that's all centered around his 4. That's my problem. His 3 is decent but needs some tweaks. His 1,2, and passive are kind of useless and needs buffed or re worked. His 4 is strong but it would be nice to be able to get value from the rest of his kit. I usually prefer a melee play style so for fun I threw on aquablades on his 2 slot for extra slash damage and procs.
I think the new skin is what makes him fun to olay again honestly 😅
Airburst on Frost with Airburst Rounds and Biting Frost. Turn any secondary into an absolute nuke
I remember players saying I use vasilok for remove plague star hemosit armor the past year.
Me who play frost since 2016: Aww. That's cute
Armor strip, overguard, and bonus crit on cold? Makes his first two abilities look real viable.
Idk if archon flow works on frost. The description reads they have to be killed by the ability. Not sure if it can just be affected by it
I would say frost can use some tweaks his first and second are pretty much the same and basically the one is useless
How do you get your damage to present as 25k or 1m instead of numerical value? Looks cleaner
2:57 Crit Jamage
Frost is such a fun frame to goof around with, thx to his crtdmg buffing. I have Ensnare over his Ice Wave to maximize things I can CC. Ensnare can also group frozen enemies as a bonus. It’s just nice to group up enemies to get a lot of big numbers in one spot. Really scratches the itch.
I kept his 1 because I know for a fact that I’m going to misplace his snowglobes now and again, so keeping it lets me break them if they become a detriment to team play.
HELL YEAH WE LOVE JAMAGING
Rhino is my turn my brain off frame, espically with nourish. Discovered a Marked for death build I'm experimenting with but....44% use rate on base rhino speaks for itself (yes I have the prime it just took like 3 years LOL)
yo potato just thought id let you know i can hit damage cap and even break integer limit with chroma now just fyi since we are both chroma mains
Have you thought about using Nautilus with Cordon? With Manifold Bond it'll be scooping up people left and right making for easy Nataruk kills.
Yep, I use nautilus for its suck.
Icy mc icy balls is wild 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My chillest easiest setup is Breach Surge Garuda, while my more tryhard setup is Breach Surge Dagath. I can also recommend Breach Surge Frost.
So what you saying is breach surge?
What are the attachments on frosts shoulders?!😮
I main nekros prime and saryn(not for spores as that takes too long)
wouldnt be something like roar be better? i use only his ulty for cc and overshield. i dont know why i should use his over skills or use helminth for more defens skills. if i get it right his os protects him anyway from status effects
wouldn't shaman make more sense with quorvex setup. since you place totems and debuff the enemies even further
Bruh i just put 5 casting speed for guy then boom. It's fun and playable that's it. Just prioritize range so you can frost alot of enemies and faster because of casting speed and that's it
Loki needs a rework asap
0:50 nah, we're good. haters just gotta get gud and learn to diversify and have fun. not like anything can stop us in this period of OP as hell, eh?
2:40 you tell em, tato. They gotta bring their expectations down to earth a bit.
Two very stupid setups which I enjoy just to see some cute numbers are:
1. Mag + Breach Surge + Praedos (use Breach, use 3, hack em ded) also for deleting rooms Epitath and Tenet Arca Plasmor are on this loadout as well
2. A Crit Shard Mesa + Dual Toxocyst Incarnon (got a Crit chance+ crit dmg + MS riven for them) so all crits hit red. really unnecessary but it has over 200kpm in SP so it gets the job kinda done - this setup with Secondary Encumber is also my go to for Archon Hunts since the Attenuation changes, it destroys them really fast.
What do you think on Vex Armor ?
how to make dmg numbers into the K,M and such?
why adaptation? if you're using overguard and shieldgating?
Frost is just Avalanche the warframe. He has 1.5 good ability’s
