    Thank you so much for this instructional video! I had zero idea about what I needed to do to maintain this little gun. Thank you for clearing up the ins and outs of cleaning it up.

    In the 5 minutes it took you to get to actually field stripping this firearm I went to google, downloaded the PDF manual, read it, field stripped mine, and started cleaning it. Still gave you a thumbs up for the effort but brevity is the soul of wit.

    I think if you are going to clean the magazine well it is a good idea to clean out all the solvent and lubricants so you won’t contaminate the ammunition causing hang fires or duds. That’s especially important with center fire cartridges but .22 rounds are notoriously seated poorly. MikeinMinnesota

    Could you do a repeat in slow motion how to get the slide back on? It is hard to get it to “drop in” for those without a lot of hand strength. Thank you in advance.

    I disagree with cleaning from the muzzle...you will damage your crown eventually rubbing the rod unevenly across the crown.

    Hello,
    Thanks for the awesome video. Please tell me which thread adapter your using? Being able to remove it with the hex screwdriver seems a lot nicer than having to use the 1mm wrench each time for cleaning.

    Loved the video. Does using the screwdriver damage the adapter and barrel ? It seems so much easier than using the wrench that a lot of people have broken trying to undo the screw. Thanks !

    I am a new gun owner. Why do you clean with oil? Why not use “cleaning solution?” Instructions that came with gun states “use only a drop of oil on the rails”. I hear that oil attracts the dirt!

      He is using CLP, which is a cleaner lubricant and protectant. It's an all in one, I also use it on all my guns, pretty good stuff. Military uses it to clean their rifles and handguns. It is safe to leave some on your weapon to help prevent rust and lubricate.

    I just bought one in all FDE color and waiting to pick it up when it arrives to my local ffl dealer !!! Mine will just have the thread protector on the barrel !!! Should I use a little loctite on the thread protector so it won't loosen up or will it already be tight enough from the factory ?

    • @mytquin7605

    Do you find that lead builds up in the knurled part of your suppressor adapter? Mine showed way more than I expected after 200 rounds of Federal un-plated ammo. Also, the suppressor adapter is now available from the factory as an installed option.

    • @GearKnowHow
      @GearKnowHow  6 лет назад +1

      Yeah it get's pretty dirty, but cleans up nice. The fact that the adapter isn't chrome lined means it'll have a lot more crud stick to it. Might be worth taking off and soaking in some Hoppes #9 once every few range trips.

      Brannon Evans Doesn’t seem to be too bad. Definitely not as easy as the Shields, but just like anything else you just need to get used to it with some practice.
