I am absolutely gutted that as a society we seem to be moving backwards instead of forwards.

Well...the 'community' needs to stop involving kids. Let them have a childhood. Pride parades formed to fight for the equal rights of same sex partners. Not castration of kids, men sticking d*ldos in their backside in front of children, grown adults simulating sexu*l acts in front children. Sick and evil people took over the movement. Ignoring all of the disgusting and pro stigma issues is what is creating this backside. The official LGBTQIA+ just officially endorsed pedoph*lia and beast*ality. How is every good person who happens to be gay not offended and disgusted by this? I loved drag, I did makeup and hair for many of my drag preformer friends, been such a supporter of equal rights...but the past few years have honestly made me question the 'community' as a whole. So many wonderful, kind, and lovely folks...fought against stigma for generations? Now, those exact stigmas are not only being celebrated but are being forcefully pushed. For shame, people literally died... gave their lives for their cause...how is this going so off the rails? God forbid anyone point these factors out, however!
This is what happens when you give Jesus the wheel, so to speak.
@strawberryfields1094 Yes, it is in no way about the obvious dangers of sexualizing kids and is all about how bad religion is. Honestly, if it was as simple as just forsaking religion, why have all the major upsets of society only increased with the decline of faith and moral based sects within society? You people act and argue like errant and spoiled children. There have been wrongs committed on all sides, but the side who doesn't think pedophi*ia and beastiali*ty is something to be publicly protected and celebrated. It seems like the better option. Many good people just happen to be gay, but the fact that their voices are being drowned out by a perverse and cultists' mentality mob disgusts me. However, every gay person with belief in basic dignity and morals needs to stand up against this. This is not what people lost their lives for, this is not what so many sacrificed for. This is EXACTLY what previous generations of gay people fought against. Now it is being celebrated because if you do not comply 100%, you get booted out of the 'community'. So let us not blame 'Jesus' but the cowardly acts of people who refuse to do their own research, and let others form opinions for them. Personal culpability and the ability to formulate understanding of things you may not agree with. Just about everyone has a wealth of knowledge at their literal fingertips, yet they spend their time watching teens eat tidepods. Stupidity and selfishness is what is fueling this narcissistic cult of self idolicized worship.
Don’t despair, the worlds opinions will eb and flow. And There will be a day where we move forward.

Great to hear you talking on this serious regression in queer politics. I’m a 48 year old gay guy in Australia, over the past 20 years or so since I came out, I’ve been in awe of the advances we’ve made as a community. This current situation, while extremely troubling, is a stark reminder of the difference between acceptance and tolerance and that we still have work to do… The old ‘two steps forward, one step back’ It’s great to see the community coming together to push back against this ridiculous political backsliding, when all we are asking for is EQUALITY ❤️

As a teacher in a little pocket of Australia, I have noticed that there is slowly more support and understanding among the students I teach when it comes to LGBTQ+ kids. It's certainly not perfect, and bullying still continues, but the gorgeous trans students that I teach have a lot more support among the student population than they ever had before. The beautiful gay kids have worn their non-traditional clothing preferences to their balls (prom, for the US folks) to wide-spread applause and praise.
I've seen small progress in my tiny little corner of the world and I hope that what we're seeing among conservatives are their pathetic death-throes as society eventually marches over them.

Congrats on the wedding! One piece of advice from an old married gal? The day of? Let it all just go. The day is gonna go how it is gonna go. Things ARE gonna go wrong, someone WILL get their tail in a bunch, it's just the way it is. The ONLY thing that matters? You and your love go home together and get up in the morning to walk this path together. That's all that matters, at the end of the day, you got your puzzle piece. (Also, slightly less PG advice... don't get too wound up in having an amazing, ah-hem, evening just the two of you. Most folks I know ~before~ the wedding talk about how magical their first time as spouses will be. Most ~after~? If over the age of 21, will just stare and then giggle at you if you bring it up. Exhaustion and the sudden ability to let that breath you have been holding to get to that point often is gonna win over any magical moment of bedtime fun. So have fun at the party, giggle as much as you can, and if you are hotel bound after? Order yourself the most ridiculous thing, the most over the top dessert, a couple of glasses of something fun and just allow yourselves both to relax!) And, while a little bit early, welcome to the married club. You are gonna love it. And hate it. And feel slightly crazed by it. But you are gonna do it all - together. (And Kevin? LOVE THE HAIR.)

I ❤❤❤❤ y'all!!!!! My favorite RUclips channel!!! I just got my first color pop palate for my birthday. Truly madly deeply. I'm really loving it.
I hit pan in palettes!! It’s why as a consumer I actually find the shift from eye shadow singles to palettes truly annoying. I miss the days when lots of brands, both drug store and high end, sold a wide range of singles. Palettes are great if you are a makeup artist or regularly wear a wide variety of looks, but for most women I think they’re overkill and kind of wasteful. I’m someone who wears eyeshadow pretty much every single day, but it’s maybe only once every few months that I do an elaborate eye look because I don’t have that kind of time before work and unlike when I was in my 20s I’m not putting on a face of full glam to run to Target on the weekends. As a result, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit pan on one or two eye shadows in a palette when the rest of the palette is nearly untouched. Instead of being able to buy a replacement for that shade, I have to buy a whole new palette. Sometimes I’ll get lucky and find a match for the shade I liked in brand that does still sell singles, but the colors I tend to love best for one-and-done looks (cool toned shimmery mauves) can be tricky to find outside of palettes. So I end up buying a new palette and will eventually end up throwing out a bunch of barely used ones which seems very wasteful and bad for the environment.
I vote for modular palettes along with singles! And please cover the whole range of colors, warm through neutral please!!! to cool, dark to light, matte to shimmer... everything we need.

I will be honest when Johnny started talking about how someone else actions and behavior shouldn’t influence or effect your identity as long as you can feel secure about your identity - that went straight through me like a knife. It’s so true but at the same time I feel like that’s not how a lot of people work including myself. I don’t like to admit it but I’m still trying to find myself and get a solid feel on who I am. I look to other women and people to help me find who I am, which is normal I think. We take the things we love and admire from people and try to incorporate it into ourselves while finding out who we are. Then of course there’s the things we don’t want incorporated into ourselves that we think is wrong, so we try and purge the part of ourselves we hate - or at least get ahold of it as best we can. I absolutely agree with Johnny, in an ideal world we would all be secure enough in ourselves that we don’t deface property over it, we simply disagree and go our separate ways
