I've never seen this little 'diagonal pocket' trick before so you can tuck the opposite binding end into and create a nice, finished seam -- I LOVE this tip!♥ And --I also like the idea to leave about 1/4-inch of batting & backing (beyond) your raw quilt top edge to give some added 'puff' to the binding. Oops I meant leaving an (extra 1/8-inch) when cutting away the extra batting & backing!
