Absolutely excellent guitar. While I've never owned that model or any Music Man I do own a pair of Steve Morse DiMarzios and they are some of the hottest pickups I've ever owned. I can understand why Steve coil splits with the single coil next to the bridge pup for cleans. Nice playing, btw.
I got an Ibanez AZ Prestige from Sweetwater last month. Beautiful guitar, great neck and spec’s. I really liked the guitar BUT the Duncan Hyperions, and they way they chose to wire them, was not working for me. I sent the guitar back because I thought it was a little too expensive to immediately change the pickups (the tuners were also tricky!), but I’m sure it would benefit from different pickups that are wired with less “spiky” coil-tapping options. You may consider some DiMarzios in your AZ - I think they’re great guitars but are just wired for some unusable sounds.

There’s something different about the tone of the single and bridge together on the high gain. Some extra punch or articulation? Sounds great!

Wow, is it comfy to play without any comfort cuts? I cant play guitars like Tele s with those sharp edges at the body
@@mordomaniac I’m absolutely the same way but somehow I’m comfortable on this guitar. I got used to it quickly and the edges don’t bother me 👍🏼
