Tyrande vs. Sylvanas. All Cinematics. In 9.1, Chains of Domination, Sylvanas Invades Winter Queen's Forces. She summons the wrath of Tyrande, infused with Maximum Night Warrior Power. Her plot armor kicks in. Anduin steals the sigil from Jaina & Bolvar, as the Jailer tidies up his raid.
Of course I added the music in the background silly. I thought this was like a given by now!

Hiya Folks! This is a super cut of chapters 5 & 6 of the 9.1 Campaign. We see the Dreadlords infiltrate Korthia, Bolvar is super sus, Jaina is totally not a dreadlord.
Primus stomps his staff and banishes Helya. Hell yea. Thrall shares touching moment with mama Draka that totally should’ve been a cinematic.
Later, Mal’ganis & dreadlords, previously served the legion but actually no, steal floating sword Remornia containing Daddy Denathrius’ essence.
Denathrius true mastermind after all? No, the true mastermind is Hogger. Oh dear, I need sleep.

Amazing that the Jailer's master plan was set into motion countless millennia ago and he's been playing literally everyone for pawns, and yet right at the very apex of his victory, he willingly pisses away his chances by not dominating everyone at the end of the 9.1 raid when he has them at his mercy.
You'd think someone who's been watching everything from behind the scenes would learn that getting overconfident when you're up against the "heroes" is the absolute worst thing you can do.
@@dragonslair951167 Don't forget releasing Sylvanas into his enemies' hands when she has precious information about his plans and might be able to locate Anduin because she, uh... touched the mourneblade. Gotta keep her alive for that redemption arc so she can become Kerrigan and become the next Xel'n-- uh, Void Lady.
@@GruppeSechs Personally, I liked the story of Starcraft 2. It took a much slower approach building up to Kerrigan's redemption arc, the main villain was someone that Brood War had actually hinted at before, and Amon's biggest mistake was a lot less egregious than Zovaal's- telling Artanis where his new body on Aiur is.
@@dragonslair951167 Eh, I just get so tired of the lazy redemption arc. Horrendous villain becomes a good guy in one moment because they're the "only hope." All because the stakes are so high that their past sins pale in comparison to total, cosmic annihilation. It's just lazy writing.
Also, Raynor was turned into a lovesick fool in SC2, when in BW, he had already forsaken Kerrigan an promised to kill her the first chance he got. The fact he risked everything to break her out of confinement, knowing what a monster she could be, was so ridiculously out of character. He basically spat in Fenix's face, and she went on to keep killing. But lucky for everyone, her quest for renewed power made her strong enough to become a Xel'naga. Yaaaay.
@@GruppeSechs Well, I will agree that it did not work when WoW did it. The writing team was clearly phoning it in for BfA and Shadowlands.
I find Raynor's character arc forgivable because until Valerian told him about the artifact's abilities, he had never once had a way to bring Kerrigan back exactly the way she was before the Zerg took her. And Kerrigan doesn't start killing again until the Dominion fakes Raynor's death. Though the "I never gave up on you, Sarah" line did either need a rewrite or someone else saying "But you did give up on her. You swore to kill her" in response.
I guess I'm willing to look past the flaws in the story for the same reason I look past the flaws in Revenge of the Sith. The idea behind the story is sound, and there are a lot of really cool moments to offset the less-cool moments.
I strongly dislike how they’re discounting the games entire past, saying the legion, the scourge, and everything else have been “pawns”
yes, it makes no sense....
@Episode Update Is there a way not to be confused about this trash lore?
Well, I mean, Sargeras went mad because of the oncoming Void, and created the Burning Legion.
Not that the Maw is even remotely Void-like.
Maybe they meant the gaping hole in the Jailer's chest?
Or maybe they just said "fuck the script, let's make a showcase of how badass chick elves are. Again."
@Episode Update Its not good writing if you devalue every big enemy in retrospect by saying "they were only puppets of a bigger evil" in particular when some of them were already "puppets" (scourge). Im sure the now "big evil" is also a puppet of a bigger evil that we just dont know about now.

Doesn't Lothraxion's existence directly contradict this "twist" that the Nathrezim are actually allied with this totally-always-existed new evil dark lord.
Among many other things like all the dialogue the Nathrezim had in WC3 where they were very obviously aligned with and loyal to the burning legion.
Their mission has been to infiltrate the cosmic forces, such as light and disorder, which is just what they did
Becoming Fel infused makes sense but light infused doesn’t. Pretty sure it alters the mind and makes them zealots to the Naaru’s plans for the universe.

them throwing away the potential that came with nazjatar + azshara and nyalotha + nzoth in singular patches convinced me that they were trying to quickly tick off every box of on their spreadsheet
they gave deathwing, a pawn of nzoth, an entire expansion focused on him portraying him as a world ending threat who physically changed the world by breaking out of deepholm
nzoth as his master being fully unleashed was worth 1 patch and he touched 2 zones, its hilarious
It bothers me that they're retroactively rewriting the lore. Dreadlords were demons first and foremost. They manipulated Sargeras further into his fall after he discovered the Void's corruption. Now just like Kel'thuzad "always having served Zovaal," they have "always served Denathrius." All the writers are trying to do is build up big bads by reassigning old lore to them with 0 build up. It takes any intrigue in the story and waters it down to worthless efforts. The worst part is that they will retcon this on a dime next expac like they do everything else.
I mean part of the issue with the story isn't the direction it's that the game itself is just gameplay. Every patch players get a handful or two of cutscenes, a couple of small conversations they won't pay attention to because they in the background and paragraphs of text for quests no one will read.
Meanwhile Blizzard fills in the holes with books and side material that makes things make sense and makes the retcons seem more like minor adjustments of details rather than major changes in origin. The game is no long telling the story but just driving it. The side material tells the story and most players are of the Asmongold stance: I don't want to read the book. I want it in the game.
It's just social justice warrior lore, no brain required.
Hush, it will all be over soon.
them over and over retroactively rewriting history to there being additional, hidden reasons for everything happening, in a way where they can pull anything they want out of their ass at any time however they want because there is never any indication to that happening in the future, is such garbage storywriting its embarrasing
there was 0 indication whatsoever that the jailer even existed and was the lich kings master for example
it was established that the dreadlords crafted the armour and frostmourne after kiljaeden took nerzhuls soul, planting him on azeroth to create a vanguard in order to weaken the world before the legion finishes it, because the orcs failed and were unreliable
@@PVT900
As it should be. If I'm playing a game, I shouldn't have to look at guides or buy books just to have a basic understanding of the story in the game. Biggest example of why Blizzard's practice is terrible is Calia Menethil.
Why is she relevant? Why is she porcelain with golden eyes? Why is she a new form of undead? How is a new form of undead even possible? How did she die? Gotta shell out some cash and buy the book to find out, because *nothing* is explained in the game, other than she's suddenly here and she's undead somehow.
@@PVT900 hate to tell you, but asmongold is right. It’s understandable to release books going deeper into lore that we already knew about- but if we HAVE to read these extra things to understand the lore it’s bad writing. They should have everything in game regardless if most people will read it or not.
Across countless realities? ... oh Blizzard, wtf is this?! If we are going to bring M-Theory into WoW we might as well just fucking give up.

They weren't evil, just manipulated by the jailor 🤣🤣
Between this and Elune sacrificing the night elves - we have entered the time in the story when the pantheon and peers will get very involved and not at all depending on the patch.
Female Nathrezim is something I didn't know I needed until I saw them.
"r-remember guys, this expansion is very good and important because the enemies are more dangerous than the other ones!"

True. Or better yet, why didn't the Naaru tell this to us? The Naaru has been around since TBC, longer than lothraxion. If they just said dreadlords were originally from the shadowlands, we wouldn't have this plotline. Its just lazy writing that's all.

What is his personality? He seems vaguely evil and stoic. Cool. Really fun for a badguys Lieutenant. But not the main baddie. A baddie needs charisma. We should love to hate them. Look at all our past badguys.
The Lich King - Stoic but Charismatic - Did the bad guy speech just like the Jailer. But we had an attachment to him because Arthas used to be like us.
Deathwing - An elder Dragon. A legendary Dragon. We wanted to go after him because we saw him break the world.
Garrosh - The horde saw their own leader fall into madness due to a thirst for power and supremacy. Garrosh is probably one of their best baddies because we understand his motivation from knowing him for years. He's a supremacist with daddy issues. Over the top and fun to oppose.
Warlords had potential but was destroyed by the modern way Blizzard makes games. But it did give us Gul'Dan. Who was a piece of sh*t you wanted to kill.
And then we have Sylvanas... the one we want to kill. But now she's going to be redeemed... yay.
How many times is the CHAMPION OF AZEROTH gonna get CCed by B-tier villains?
So, does that mean Sargeras was a fool that got double-crossed or something? The newer WarCraft's lores hurt my brain, man.
"Its not my fault he can take a joke" please someone fucking do a teldrasil on Ardenweald already.
I just want it to turn out that the Deadlords were playing all sides and that they have no real loyalty. Just give us something nefarious without trying to make us feel bad for the bad guy. I do hope some have depth but I hope some hold true to their characters like Guldan and Garrosh.
If dreadlords can take any form. Maybe they took Arthas form as lich king? ☺️
Nothing but I am actually pissed that Arthas still got played by Mal'ganis in the end
Where is our Arthas to purge Mal'ganis once more... oh, right, Blizzard killed the rest of his soul, thanks Blizzard.
Zoinks!
Turns out it was a good thing I gave up on Blizzard the moment they introduced Tauren Paladins.
They say the light uncovered a spy in their ranks and attacked the shadowlands, was it the light dreadlord we saw in legion or someone else?, if not why is there still a dreadlord among them?
@Florian oh, care to explain please?, im curiuos
No there were other dreadlords, Lotraxion ist still with them because they think that they converted him
@@barator03 They 'think'? Does that mean that there's a possible chance that he'll betray the Light?
@@VitchAndVorty yes, i think he will
