This was by far one of your best videos. I almost never comment, but goddamn man, I felt the passion. Keep doing what you're doing. Highly entertaining, educational, and sincere. You have the best of all the qualities of a great content creator, and as a person. Nothing else I can say, just great job!
I have to be honest, meeting you, was really awesome. (I was working at Casey’s and you came in to pick up food, said I had remembered your voice). You’re taller in person!! But keep up the amazing work!!
I am so DANG proud of this channel. I remember when he used to be SO NERVOUS to stand in a quiet corner and vlog. Now THIS?! I REALLY loved this. Great job Offhand 💗💗💗
THIS is the best vlog of the anniversary by far!!! You really respect the history & legacy, and celebrate the real magic. I love that you actually paid attention to the MK and the ATTRACTIONS that were here from the beginning. Somehow everyone else fell for Chapek's evil commercial of the IPs of the last deacde as some "magical" celebration of the 50th anniversary of the original WDW.
Re grand prix ride being underwhelming: I always assumed the point was to give kids the thrill of being behind the wheel. We used to each get our own car, so we could drive. Only adults ride along, to laugh at the newbie drivers.🏎🛣😇
I kind of prefer the Speedway at MK because it's more compact and very, um, sort of "cleaner" and streamlined. Especially with all the great attractions surrounding it like Space Mountain, Dumbo's Flting Elephants, Mad Tea Party, Peoplemover, WDW Railroad and now Tron. C:
PS: I LOVED Epcot additions. Especially Spaceship Earth. Tears... indeed! I only wish I was there. Instead I wept quietly at my computer. The only thing missing for me in this anniversary was no mention of Walt or Roy and no opening celebration onstage at the castle. Just the normal welcome. I wish it was a huge celebration to Walt. I look forward to your next video... ;-)
Best time spent watching your video! It brought back memories, made me smile, and made me cry. I thought I wouldn’t be able to watch all in one viewing, but was compelled to. And I see I wasn’t alone when you wiped a tear from your eye. Thank you for standing there and filming the complete fireworks show. I know that could not have been easy. Again thank you. Here’s to another 50 years!
Dallin, thank you for bringing us along like we are your pals. I was crying watching the fireworks even though I told myself I wouldn’t. And then your reaction at Epcot was spot on with how I feel about Epcot. I felt like I was standing there right next to you beholding its glowing beauty. Thanks for sharing and being so personal. Living with the land is also my favorite ride there and the haunted mansion in Disneyland is totally better than Magic Kingdom.
Dude your knowledge of Disney is just unbelievable I've been following you for a long time and I'm just so impressed with how much knowledge do you have
First thing, the Magic Kingdom Carousel was originally located on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan. Now that I got that out of the way, which is better, Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom. Well, I vote for Magic Kingdom. I have been to both. I liked Disneyland, but it felt claustrophobic. Everything was too close together, and on a crowded day - WOOF - you are packed in there shoulder to shoulder with the other guests. There's no breathing room! All of the attractions were great. I didn't get a chance to ride the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland either time I was there. The lines were just too long and my kids weren't in the mood to wait that long. I understand that the California version is slightly longer and more interesting than the Florida version, but I'll have to see that another time, I guess. Other than that, everything else was about the same, but it was that "closed-in" feeling that I just couldn't shake. And the first time I went was on Christmas Day. So many people there, I was overwhelmed. But after my second visit, I decided that I would stick with WDW as my go-to vacation destination. I live a lot closer to Disneyland, too, in case you were wondering.
That’s pretty interesting. I’m pretty close to the Florida resort but I would love to visit the one in California because it looks to have the better versions of attractions like Autotopia, It’s a small world, pirates, big thunder mountain, etc
I liked it because it reminds me of the Magic Happens parade 2020 pre pandemic that was super good with Moana, Coco, and Frozen. Happily Ever After was a masterpiece tho.
I'll be honest, I didn't like the points of lights on spaceship earth back when people were posting videos of it being tested. But now the more videos I see of it up close... that plus the original fountain back and synced with lights; I can say the imagineers hit a sweet button with it all! Too bad I don't feel the same about the rest of the "enhancements". BTW: I'm still with you on bringing Wall-E to the land pavilion. Still such a great idea!
You share my undying love for everything the Haunted Mansion has to offer. I can't quite put my finger on why I love it so much, but it's my favorite attraction. The partial ride-along absolutely made my day. I could smell the ride, and feel the little shaky movements of the doom buggy, I could almost just convince myself I was there again. Your videos help me out in hard times, because hearing Disney facts from someone who is even more passionate about Disney than myself really takes me back. I have been financially struggling for years and haven't been able to visit a Disney park in a long time, despite living close, but your content really does help bridge the gap and alleviate some of the longing I have to go back. I hope you realize how much of a positive impact you have on people by producing this kind of content. Thank you, very much.
Hey! The Haunted Mansion interactive queue actually has been open! I was at Magic Kingdom the weekend before the 50th and the line went through the interactive queue with all effects working. 😀
Thanks Dallin! You put so much work into this and it shows. You can vlog, Chief Inspector! Your deep joy and sincerity were abundantly apparent! Oh the wonder...
Watching you look over spaceship earth made me so happy! I felt the same way . I set up shop with my iced tea and just stared at it for like 10 minutes. ❤️

Wow, I totally missed that there’s a new Peter Pan’s Flight queue! Thanks for the walkthrough… and all the historical tidbits. It’s really making me feel better about missing being there in person myself!
Every now and then I think about the streets in Liberty Square and just wonder how that set of meetings went. Like who decided it should look like a poop river in the middle of the Magic Kingdom? It's insane.
at 43:17 you can see a blue door open just below the spire at the top of the castle. Tinkerbell comes out of the door, and about 30 seconds later they shine a spotlight on her. It would be nice if for the 50th Anniversary, they put Bob Chapstick on that zip line, and cut the cable!
