    Do you think it's worth going down the route of remote res shocks on a leaf sprung 60? Or will you not notice the benfits as much because of the stiffer leafs.

    • @DanielKistler
      @DanielKistler  3 года назад +1

      Good shocks are important regardless if coil or leaf. But it’s also important to get the spring rates right with leafs so they work with each other.

    Nice shocks mate. A wedding gift for you both from the family??🤣👍
    New buzz word "WANKY FLEX". Should get it printed on t-shirts as merchandise for your channel.
    Personally, I like so much wanky flex in the rear it ends up rear steering the vehicle. 🤣
    But on a serious note, how is adjustment achieved on each bypass? Can't see on the video if they're dials you click up or down.
    Also, the compression bypasses. One high speed and one low speed?
    Will be interesting to see the tuning process.
    Thanks again for another information packed video. 👍🍺🇦🇺

      @DanielKistler  3 года назад

      Hahahaha I wish mate!
      That’s actually a good idea lol maybe one day mate!
      I should have explain that better, there’s a grub screw with a locking nut on the one way valve and you just screw it in or out to wherever your desired comfort is.
      Nah the 2 compression bypass tubes just work at different spots of the shock stroke. Not high and low speed.
      Cheers mate

    As usual there is something in your shed vids i hadnt heard of before.
    Top effort in designing the shock mounts. Just one question. Whats the offset on your wheels and will you still have clearance to the shocks if staying to the 50mm wheel track increase over standard?

    • @DanielKistler
      @DanielKistler  3 года назад

      Haha thanks mate! -22 is the offset that works good mate! If you still have a gq front diff you may run into clearance issues! But a Gu front is so easy to do and cheap and very beneficial that you wouldn’t waste your time on a gq diff!

      Only asked as i thought you mentioned the engineer was going to sign off on the shock setup. Hopefully there isnt clearance issues if you have to take it to him with standard wheels and tyres.
      The engineer i am using wont allow me to go over 50mm from the GQ wheel track even though its got GU diffs and there is a NSW document stating you can go 25mm wider than the axle being used.

    2” lift and 50mm up travel... Nissan’s really are bad lol

    • @braydonsnell8791
      @braydonsnell8791 3 года назад +1

      Nothing to do with it being a Nissan, it's all about tyre size, shock length and shock tower height. And bumpstops limit the shocks full compression to stop it bottoming out and ruining it. Any make can/will have "x" amount of uptravel at "x" amount of lift.

    • @DanielKistler
