Even though this game didn't show it at all, that year's Toledo team had plenty of talent. Should have beaten Marshall in the MAC championship. That was a weird day for me personally ... I called the game for UT student radio *but* grew up here in Columbus and was/am a lifelong OSU fan. This was the best Buckeye team in my lifetime and it still hurts to think they fell one bad second half away from playing for a national title.

Joe Germaine on offense! And last week he won a state championship in Arizona high school football as a head coach.

Dude you are way right, that team was freaking amazing every player on off. and def. were excellent athletes-Germaine,Wiley,Matt Keller,David Boston,Joe Montgomery,Antoine Winfield,Damon Moore,Berry,Plummer,Central McClellion,Katzenmoyer,Diggs, that secondary was one of the best ever in college football history. I have never been more pissed than when we lost to a 6-6 MSU team that lost to Colorado State and got demolished by Oregon. We would have beaten Tennessee or Florida State that year

'69 was probably a bit better. Those mid 70's teams were excellent too. '05 also stacks up.

Coming from Toledo, I can honestly say Toledo has no chance beating OSU tomorrow.
