Religion advocates for defending your land and standing your ground against an oppressive force. So it really doesn’t matter whether the motivation is religious or not. In the end, the objective is to defend your land. So the question is: is Israel the occupier in this scenario? We have to answer this question first and agree on it before passing judgement.

This was very insightful! I fell for the information from the Pro-Palestinian side till I educated myself, used critical thinking skills and admitted what I was believing was wrong. Now, I'm focusing on fighting against antisemitism and debunking misinformation in regards with this war and Israel's history. I'm still educating myself on this, no I never again do things that hurts a small group of people because of misinformation and double standards. I feel to this day still very guilty that I fell for the lies, and all because I trusted my history professor to actually teach me the truth and not cherry pick things. Or falling for some "Holocaust expert" saying it was a genocide when it really wasn't. I only started to question things when the encampments happened and they were literally calling for violence against the "Zionists." I thought it was there was supposed to be a ceasefire and for a two state solution and peace. But all I really see from this toxic movement is targeting people who has nothing to do with the Israeli government, and being downright antisemitic. I thought even by choosing Jewish Voice for Peace, I could avoid the Jew Hatred, and boy I was wrong about that. But honestly, I had to educate myself and really learned that all I knew was basically a lie or distorted. I just wish I could do more to stop the misinformation, and I do hope that by keep sharing my story that maybe hopefully, I can others to see the truth - that Israel is the good guy here and they have a right to defend themselves from terrorists. I will keep on fighting for the Jewish people and defend Israel, no matter what, even if I get hurt doing so. It's the right thing to do. I don't want to be a bystander, but an upstander. I do hope I get the courage enough to speak in real life (I have very bad social anxiety), besides just online with fighting misinformation and Jew Hatred. One of the many issues we have in this debate is that a large portion of the people involved are throwing around terms that they they don't know th meaning of. Well that's questionable. Police forces, tribal people in Afghanistan, and Americans if they were ever invaded, would not be expected to give up all their arms just because a war is happening. I've had to argue this to my parents as well, when they were parroting what demonstrators & even famous Belgians were saying : "the genocide... ". I immediately said "stop saying genocide, they is no genocide going on in Gaza." The Rwandan genocide in the 90's that was an actual genocide. @@SteelxWolf I'd agree with you about people siding with Hamas; those people are fools, especially those of the LGBTQIA+ whatever the acronym is now. Hamas is definitely not deserving of any sympathy and need to be slapped down. However, there are other groups that care more about the Palestinian civilians being killed and displaced and not necessarily their leadership. Said civilians probably don't have a choice in being used as human shields, and they're the ones most likely to pay the price. And if polls are to be believed the support for Hamas has likely grown considerably since October 7th and the Israeli counter attack, and my main concern is that if we don't try to cool things off we'll just end up radicalizing everyone in Gaza in the belief that it's side with Hamas or get annihilated by Israel. Is there propaganda and false reporting from Hamas? Sure, but considering Israel killed those 3 hostages by mistake in December 2023 it can be argued that they are being very reckless and might be escalating the situation further. Just my two cents. I support Israel defending itself and even punching back at Hamas, but they knew going in Hamas would play the game this way and may need to reconsider their approach given their own citizens are getting fed up with the lack of a hostage deal.

I live in Australia and researched the whole conflict when some of my friends decided to shout genocide and pro Palestine sentiments within days of October 7th, when i discovered the truth by looking at both sides. I pray for Israel every day now and realise that antisemitism is actually at the root of the propalestine movement. They conflate bad Jewish entities such as George Soros , Zuckerberg, Rockefeller and Rothschild families with Israel! It is very sad to condemn an entire people for the actions of a few bad apples.

The unfortunate truth is that until one side wins decisively, these conflicts will continue. A ceasefire would merely mean that in the future, these battles will happen again

If he had not allowed much of the British army to escape from Dunkirk, or have not decided to attack the Russians, or declared war on America, he would have won. This was very insightful! I fell for the information from the Pro-Palestinian side till I educated myself, used critical thinking skills and admitted what I was believing was wrong. Now, I'm focusing on fighting against antisemitism and debunking misinformation in regards with this war and Israel's history.
I'm still educating myself on this, no I never again do things that hurts a small group of people because of misinformation and double standards. I feel to this day still very guilty that I fell for the lies, and all because I trusted my history professor to actually teach me the truth and not cherry pick things. Or falling for some "Holocaust expert" saying it was a genocide when it really wasn't.
I only started to question things when the encampments happened and they were literally calling for violence against the "Zionists." I thought it was there was supposed to be a ceasefire and for a two state solution and peace. But all I really see from this toxic movement is targeting people who has nothing to do with the Israeli government, and being downright antisemitic. I thought even by choosing Jewish Voice for Peace, I could avoid the Jew Hatred, and boy I was wrong about that.
But honestly, I had to educate myself and really learned that all I knew was basically a lie or distorted. I just wish I could do more to stop the misinformation, and I do hope that by keep sharing my story that maybe hopefully, I can others to see the truth - that Israel is the good guy here and they have a right to defend themselves from terrorists.
I will keep on fighting for the Jewish people and defend Israel, no matter what, even if I get hurt doing so. It's the right thing to do. I don't want to be a bystander, but an upstander. I do hope I get the courage enough to speak in real life (I have very bad social anxiety), besides just online with fighting misinformation and Jew Hatred. And of course the more education, the easier to downright hopefully change the Jew Haters' minds and open them up to see the actual truth like I did.

Hamas is definitely not deserving of any sympathy and need to be slapped down. However, there are other groups that care more about the Palestinian civilians being killed and displaced and not necessarily their leadership. Said civilians probably don't have a choice in being used as human shields, and they're the ones most likely to pay the price. And if polls are to be believed the support for Hamas has likely grown considerably since October 7th and the Israeli counter attack, and my main concern is that if we don't try to cool things off we'll just end up radicalizing everyone in Gaza in the belief that it's side with Hamas or get annihilated by Israel. Is there propaganda and false reporting from Hamas? Sure, but considering Israel killed those 3 hostages by mistake in December 2023 it can be argued that they are being very reckless and might be escalating the situation further.
Just my two cents. I support Israel defending itself and even punching back at Hamas, but they knew going in Hamas would play the game this way and may need to reconsider their approach given their own citizens are getting fed up with the lack of a hostage deal.

Covering the period from October 2023 to July 2024, the report examines developments across the occupied Palestinian territory and the occupied Syrian Golan but focuses on the catastrophic impact of the current war in Gaza on the rights of Palestinians.
“Through its siege over Gaza, obstruction of humanitarian aid, alongside targeted attacks and killing of civilians and aid workers, despite repeated UN appeals, binding orders from the International Court of Justice and resolutions of the Security Council, Israel is intentionally causing death, starvation and serious injury, using starvation as a method of war and inflicting collective punishment on the Palestinian population,” the Committee said.
The report documents how Israel’s extensive bombing campaign in Gaza has decimated essential services and unleashed an environmental catastrophe that will have lasting health impacts. By early 2024, over 25,000 tons of explosives-equivalent to two nuclear bombs-had been dropped on Gaza, causing massive destruction and the collapse of water and sanitation systems, agricultural devastation, and toxic pollution.
“By destroying vital water, sanitation and food systems, and contaminating the environment, Israel has created a lethal mix of crises that will inflict severe harm on generations to come,” the Committee said.
The report raises serious concerns about Israel’s use of AI-enhanced targeting systems in directing its military operations, and the impact it has had on civilians, particularly evident in the overwhelming number of women and children among the casualties.
“The Israeli military’s use of AI-assisted targeting, with minimal human oversight, combined with heavy bombs, underscores Israel’s disregard of its obligation to distinguish between civilians and combatants and take adequate safeguards to prevent civilian deaths,” the Committee said.
Amid the devastation in Gaza, Israel’s escalating media censorship, suppression of dissent, and targeting of journalists are deliberate efforts to block global access to information, the Committee found. It also noted how social media companies disproportionately removed “pro-Palestinian content” in comparison with posts inciting violence against Palestinians.
The Committee condemned the ongoing smear campaign and other attacks against UNRWA and the UN at large.
“This deliberate silencing of reporting, combined with disinformation and attacks on humanitarian workers, is a clear strategy to undermine the vital work of the UN, sever the lifeline of aid still reaching Gaza, and dismantle the international legal order,” the Committee said.
The Committee called on all Member States to uphold their legal obligations to prevent and stop Israel’s violations of international law and hold it accountable.
“It is the collective responsibility of every State to stop supporting the assault on Gaza and the apartheid system in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem,” the Committee said.
“Upholding international law and ensuring accountability for violations rests squarely on Member States. A failure to do so weakens the very core of the international legal system and sets a dangerous precedent, allowing atrocities to go unchecked.”
The Committee’s report will be presented to the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly on 18 November 2024.

Even if they probably are highly inflated, Hamas claim some 40,000 have been killed in Gaza. According to UN, some 60,000 have been born in Gaza since October 7th. The population in Gaza has actually increased in the period.

Might have logistical reasons. The ports of Israel are much closer to Gaza, which is better than transporting all the way from the ports of Egypt. Either way, stopping international humanitarian aid is bad.

The unfortunate truth is that until one side wins decisively, these conflicts will continue. A ceasefire would merely mean that in the future, these battles will happen again
You are right, a ceasefire is not in the cards. Israel has won, but surrendering was never part of Hamass' plans. Their plan to keep harassing Israel until a ceasefire is going to destroy them.

You say Hitler could not have won that war, well I beg to differ. If he had not allowed much of the British army to escape from Dunkirk, or have not decided to attack the Russians, or declared war on America, he would have won. As for Gaza it is worth noting that much of Hamas's funding was authorized by Netanyahu and paid by the Israeli government. The military build up could not have gone unnoticed by the many Mossad agents who were either watching from either inside or outside the fence, that divides Gaza and Israel.
