literally love that he looks so chill with dem damn chucks on casually shooting a rifle
Chcuks are underrated in the modern era
Thank you for the valuable information, Mr. Cheng.
They should make a character of you on the next Far Cry game
yeah
Warzone*
Btw im not even cod fan
they definitely gotta learn how to grip their rifles lmao
EXCELLENT VIDEO! THANK YOU!
Shot a Scorpion Evo at the range and didn't know the proper way of resting the stock on my shoulder so now I have a slight bruise :)
wow amazing ! What a professor !
Thanks again Chris!
Wow!! Very concise but very clear instruction. Awesome!
great video. easy to learn
Great video, thanks!
very good informative video, thank you.
Clearly a good teacher
The overhand grip! A certified way to mess a target or anything up accurately. Should be taught more.
Dude's a champion though. Are you a champion? Of anything?
hydnt main lol wut
Thought you meant HE should be taught more. Ok then.
that’s true but look who’s a champion and look who’s not
Good stuff, thank you.
Thank you! God bless
This man is a good teacher
Thank you for the video! I've grown up shooting bolt action hunting rifles, and it has been a real learning curve learning how to shoot ARs.
Nice you have such a nice rifle man tssss
Good coach
Thanks for the info Cheng, cool hoodie where's that from
educational, thank you
He’s an amazing shooter
Where can I find that buffer tube and cheek rest combo ?
good shootin mr.chow
Nice fella
hi, what kind of stock is that? like it
Excellant!
My problem is holding the sight steady on target when standing and firing. Just probably gotta practice more.
I installed a scope on my .22 rifle how far back should it stick out after installation?
Scopes have something called eye relief, where your eye has to be a certain distance from the scope so you see the full field of view, and no black shadow or anything. Bring up the rifle like you're going to fire. The scope should be where you can see the image well and your head is not too forward or back.
I apologize for the noob question in advance. When young, I was taught to let the barrel of a shotgun or 22 "ride up" a little (not grip with the left hand" in order to tame recoil. I see that the shooter in this video seems to be leaning into the recoil and letting it push him slight straight back though...does this tend to be more effective for follow on shots for all weapons(m1 garand, bolt rifle), or is this specific to recoil-buffered platforms(ar-15, scar, etc..)
Thanks, in advance for any response.
So, Weaver stance is the (only) stance to use when shooting a rifle standing?? I think there are other options available.
What type of rifle is that? I am interested in getting my first firearm and would like to know if anyone has any advice about what’s good for a beginner and how much does a rifle like that cost or any kind of pricing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
If it’s your first gun get a ruger 10/22, it cost around $300. It’s easy to shoot, cheap ammo and it allows you to go hunt small game like squirrels
Agreed ruger 10/22 is alot of peoples first gun including mine. Any .22 will do you well though. Pretty much no recoil and allows you to learn the fundamentals. Also i wouldnt scope it right away. Learn to use the iron sights first. Have fun and be safe!
I don't fully agree with the off hand being that far out. Sure, you can do it, but it's a bit cumbersome to extend your arm out that far after a while. I prefer my off hand as close to the magazine as possible. It's easier to move with the gun this way and my hand doesn't get tired after running around, lift and shoot, more running around, lift and shoot. It's difficult to move around with my off hand that far out, I would probably be moving around with my off hand closer to the magazine anyway, making it inefficient to have to adjust my hand before I can shoot. You technically can put your hand anywhere but it's more efficient to place your off hand as comfortably close to the magazine as possible.
I did 8 yrs marines 2 tours in IRAQ ... if you held your weapon with your hand that far forward you would be doing push-ups...45 degree angle it's not user preference ....either on foregrip or directing under fore stock ..
Wait a minute ain't Mr. Cheng also in Forged in Fire show ?
The way you hold that, and shoot, is the way that is most inaccurate for me. And. yeah, I have shot a few times. Got my first rifle at 11, over 20 years in the Army, and am now 79.
Yes he did say shooters preference on where the extended hand goes.
I got a at today
So for me a left-handed shooter I should be mirrored?
BROCK ASH yes it would be the same basic concept
The Gordon Show thank you
Nah, you should shoot from whatever side works best for you. I'm left-handed and shoot from the right. Shooting with the "wrong hand" is actually quite good if you use heavy rifles since your stronger hand is doing the lifting and your week hand only have to pull the trigger. If you shoot clay with shotguns it is recommended that you use the side that has your dominant eye. This also applies to red dot sights. Typically it is easier for us left-handed people to use the "wrong hand" since we are forced to on a daily basis so we are rather ambidextrous compared to right-handed people.
You should shoot, not based on handedness, but based on your dominant eye. That eye is what focuses on the target. Eye dominance does not always follow handedness.
Okay so can anyone explain why I can’t really look down sights when it’s on my right shoulder ? What am I doing wrong?
Your shooting on the "wrong" side. You're most likely left eye dominant.
@@oscara.2331 well… makes a lot of sense cus you are correct my left eye is my better eye so i am supposed to look down sights with my left eye ?
@@JayWithTheAmg depends on you.
If you're just starting out, shoot lefty it'll be easier and you'll be more accurate.
If u already shoot righty then try shooting lefty and choose the one you're most comfortable with.
@@oscara.2331 okay yea I’m right handed and etc so it’s more comfortable handling the gun with the right side of my body dominate but I literally can’t see down sights when I look from my right shoulder
@@JayWithTheAmg yea cuz you're left eye is stronger so it composes the majority of your visual images. Unless you close or interfere with you left eye you will never be able to see down the barrel of a gun with your right eye.
Try shooting lefty next time.
Where is the cheek location?
Right under your eye...
What stock is that?
.
Looks like some chicken stock
what rifle is this??
It's an AR-15, say so @ the caption..
op af
How do you dislike this video?
dat c clamp
Nice socks :)
Why point the index finger tho?
this is kinda confusing me because im a fully right handed and i would hold a rifle naturaly on the opposite?!
Yeah same here
Just do the opposite
Are you left eye dominant? That would cause you to shoot on your left side as a right-hander.
Hmm most gun videos are kinda bad. This one is pretty good.
Is that 243 or 3030

yeah but keeping that same position for like a minute is hard
pump shotgun too, please!
I swar I’ve seen you before
There’s just something about the way he chooses to place his extended hand that’s just……idk…wrong 😕
What's the point of shooting from a chair other than laziness?
Being more stable especially when useing a scope and shooting precision
And if your sting as fuck like a spiller you could shoot it more freelly
Just started to watch season 4 on amazon. Now i know who won...

You alive bro?
"Weaver stance" "bladed towards the target" I swear who came up with those nerdy terminologies? can't we just call it the 45 stance meaning 45 degree angle or something less cringe, I half expected to see other stances like a dragon stance or a tiger stance.
I would have hoped they would have explained the difference in grip profiles with bio mechanics and kinesiology . Clearly this opinion is not based with any scientifically proven advantages. The clamp grip only uses 2muscle groups and is only 40% efficient with respect to the kinesiology aspect . The over handed or supinate grip is less effective in fact it removes over 50% of the radial range of motion to the hand and more to the ability to move and rotate the body. In summation they really should consult professionals. Like FXD. WWW.FORCEXDESIGN.COM . They have firm grip on how it works and why this doesn’t work.
