Primary Instructor- Tu Lam (Former- Special Forces Green Beret) 23 yrs
Rōnin “Close Quarters” Combat Rifle Course (2 HRS ONLINE Training) is broken down into 11 Chapters. This training module was filmed at a Ronin Tactics “Combat Rifle” Couse taught to students at the Sig Sauer Academy, Epping, NH (OCT 8, 2021). These chapters provide blocks of instructions building on the fundamentals required to process information and effectively shoot and fight in a close quarter’s gunfight. This training module will cover mindset, ballistics, choosing kit, target identification, AR theory, combat marksmanship, proper weapons manipulation, movement in a gunfight and shooting under stress. This course will also work on the specific skills required to effectively move and shoot. “In a close quarter’s gunfight, time is lost because the distance to threat is now collapsed -understand the game of angles, tactics, and gunfighting needed to dominate in a close quarters gunfight.” -浪人

Ronin's methodology is almost poetic. He connects everything together, every small decision is part of an overarching system of logic, and an almost spiritual approach to gunfighting. This dude is a legit f-ing modern day samurai.
Let him try to shoot a akm and tell me about not being aggressive stance
yeh, but he runs a 9mm for cqb and there goes your poetry. 😏
He treats gunfigting for what it is, a martial art.
is it because he's asian
@@ulrikerudel6859 How is 9mm not right for CQB?
The skill ceiling for gunfighting is so high and it really shows here, you can just see Tu's experience in anything he does...amazing how fast you're off safety and on-line
yeah huge difference between a regular dude doing 1000 reps per yr and someone like Tu that did 100,000 reps per year for a few decades
What a national treasure. I just want to say we are all so lucky that this Patriot share his vast wealth of knowledge with us.
Thank you for your service!
You're not learning anything, you're just trying to hide from your fat wife.

This man is teaching you how to use martial arts stances in Gun fighting 🤯 I’m truly amazed!!
How it should be its a weapons you need to balance out your body,
I value this channel and your work more than any other because youre one of the few that will actually TEACH your audience/fellow citizen important information to help us become more proficient and effective. These tips may literally save someone's life which is more valuable than any entertainment value we may get out of it. And for people like myself that can't afford extra training but take this very seriously, constantly practicing, its a blessing. Be good be safe.
Check out GBRS Group also. Yu ll get more great content when yu combine ze two.
He's GBRS is amazing. So is Mike Glover!
@@HitlerlandBoi thanks for the heads up!
Man....
@M. Denz thanks! I'm aware of a few of those and they don't really do it for me. I like Tu because he isn't overly egotistical and is very grounded especially for someone in his field. We all know how the gun community can be and he is refreshing for me personally.
These sessions are true eye openers from the psychological & tactical perspective. I do have active duty training from back in the day, but the very nature of our environment & mental awareness has changed. As I teach my son how to use his first shotgun & PA-15 I will have him watch these. So it's not just the old-man telling him simply from my experiences. Your commentary about martial-arts resonated; we civilians who maintain our 2nd Amendment for it's intended purpose need to understand everything that you are teaching and develop a solid foundation of discipline. I honor your service, love for what you do; teaching us to be exact and precise.
PA-15??? You trying to get him killed? He needs a SCAR with at least $5,000 worth of gadgets on it.
@@paddypibblet846 Sarcasm noted
How has the pa15 held up?
I don't shoot and don't fight or anything but this has been the most engaging video I've watched in the last 1000 videos no doubt in my mind, don't ask me why
The gun enthusiast in me learning how you guys work through problems or the tactics used in order to set yourself up for success is extremely interesting to me. Being an average person chances of me needing to use any of this info is very slim but like they say "Knowledge is power"... So making up drills or just trying to be proficient with my firearms and applying parts of what you're talking about to things I could actually face in my life like a home invasion or self defense situation is extremely valuable. Good stuff brother and thanks for all you do!!!
It is great to learn modern techniques and why it works better than conventional teachings.
@David B Modern tactics are simply variations on what has always been true. There's multiple tactics that work...sometimes. There's no tactic that works...all the time. That's why it's imperative to learn how to adapt. The threat might be the same a lot of the times, but the individuals actively posing it are always different. There's limitless components that are environmental, psychological, and technical, and they all require a countermeasure to overcome it. "Modern", or newly adapted tactics are great and vital, but the basics and the universal truths should be practiced with the same importance.
@@vincec.202 isn't that how everything considered modern comes about??? If it was tried and true it would just be the way and even that would've been considered modern at some point. Everything has to start somewhere's brother...
@@vincec.202 I just like learning tactics that have a high success rate. I agree it helps learning the evolution of technique.
Good on you, stay humble!
I use these videos for my acting students every week. Even though we work with film prop guns and airsoft replicas it still is very useful. Ronin Tactics is so clear and to the point.
Tu is a living legend! Greetings from Germany
34 years in the martial arts and your videos come across my feed. Absolutely, I subscribed. I think more than anything I learned from your videos is that the function is the form. When I graduate from nursing school, I’d like very much to take your classes. There is truly so much to learn and I haven’t even scratched the surface. Thank you for your videos Ronin and thank you for all the work you do to keep our LEOs safe.
Dana white is that you ??
This is awesome. I think Ronin and GBRS (Tu and DJ) have by far the best methods and delivery of information. It is as clear and concise as you can get.
I’d love a pod cast of topic. Then they do a “knowledge transfer” with each person from the pod cast and make series a then all do a conclusion and review and options video.
@@governmentcalamari9785 hell yeah. I think it would be awesome to have a friendly tutorial of techniques between Shawn Ryan Tu, DJ, mike glover and Tim Kennedy. Do a demonstration and then have a nice contest under time.
Agreed. They boil it down to the ridiculously simple without talking to people as if they're a complete idiot.
I could not agree more
how the hell are you guys just gonna leave out Pat Mac. He's only OG, but who cares.
Probably the best 30 minutes spent on RUclips in a long time!
Thanks
As a trainer and Ex-private protection agent. I have learn from you. People tend to forget the fundamentals.
Tu Lam you are the best of the best warrior for both teaching and training people how to shoot straight and effective in dangerous situations in life
learning more in 15 minutes from this video about shooting than I did 4 years in the Army so far
T is a master at his craft. Fantastic for all levels of firearms
Was a Marine Infantry 0311 for 6 years and I learned more in this video than I have in those 6 years🤣
Thats fucked. In my unit back in the day, we learned most of this stuff. The only thing i disagreed with in my unit was their concept of sliding/gliding didnt align with mine. I would always naturally pivot and smoothly side shuffle to find angles in more complex shoothouses (footwork i learned from wrestling/KB/Boxing).
Higher thought it was stupid and would rag on me for it. Now, almost ten years later, i see this Ronin stuff and laugh my ass off cause I was right and my loud mouth pussy ass puerto rican gunny was wrong 😂 he just hated mexicans i think but its all good.
Ronin is the guru ❤

I built my first AR-15 and now I'm looking for training and found this video, and I'm so happy I found this channel, Thank you Sir. As a martial art practitioner this training resonates with me, seeing and hearing someone expertly explain ma-ai in the use of a rifle makes for some real learning. Thank you.
I usually dont watch long videos through because of my low attention span but something about the way he was teaching these movements just kept my attention and I ended watching the whole thing.
*Ronin Tactics Inc* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. God Bless.
Wow. Another great lesson. Your movies bring a lot of knowledge. You need to be like water my friend... 😊
Getting all my gear and finances situated. Definitely pushing myself to attend one of your classes within the next two years.

Does it cost that much?
@@jerryvwallace2 probably 500 class 1 day pistol, just a guess though. Fieldcraft survival (mike glover) classes are 200-300 depending course of fire.
@@BroskY250 $500 a class plus 1,000 rounds of your preferred rifle ammunition and 1,000 rounds of your preferred pistol ammunition. You're looking at $1,000 class easily.
Edit: These are all day classes and well worth the experience. I wasn't saying it's too much just factor in some ammo too.
Loved that… “you can’t move like water if your muscle tight” loosen up RONIN YOU DA MAN! Thanks for sharing…
Tu, thank you for sharing all of this knowledge. Your videos have been a huge stepping stone for me in improving my marksmanship and overall life. I can’t thank you enough for everything. Thank you Mr. Lam and the Ronin Team!
TU is the type of person that you don’t wanna f**ck around with. Very humble guy. Thanks for your service!
I've never even fired a gun and I found this helpful. I think it's good for men to know how to do this, like in the old days when farmers knew how to use a sword a little bit. Just for home defense, just in case. Thanks Lam
Amazing how much information Tu packs into one single video. Incredible stuff!
He always keeps it real-real.
God bless Ronin 🙏🏽🙏🏽
What a blessing and fountain of knowledge and experience he is. I really love that he posts these so everyone can learn from his experience and become better marksman and more proficient handling firearms. I've already started dry fire practicing this to retrain my bodies posture habits when shouldering a rifle. And I really appreciate that he explains why to do it this way and why it's more efficient instead of just saying do it my way because it's better like some instructors I've taken classes under.
Not to sound picky, but I love that he ends his sentences with “understand ?” Instead of “does that make sense?” 🙏🙏🙏
Man you can't be making us wait this long in between videos ;) liked before even watching because I already know.
Thank you!
Thanks this is very detailed training video.
Hell yeah could not wait for another RōNIN video! You’re the man Tu, you are the epitome of a leader!! Because;

Love everything about your lifestyle and mindset. Many blessings of health and prosperity to you and yours Tu!

I would spend the money to take his course in a Second, outstanding explanation in his teaching. A+
I am most appreciative for these vids. I never realized how woefully unprepared I was for even simple home defense until I tried putting some of these principles to practice. Repping these concepts a little bit every day, and my practical speed and accuracy is leaps and bounds above where I started, and I was shooting for 30+ years! Can't thank you enough.
As I’ve always said, best instructor, bar none!
Even after 22yrs Inf, I'm still learning stuff, great video, great channel!
Thank you!

Brilliance in the friggin basics, I love it. They don't preach this enough in the Army sadly otherwise I get insanely shit on by toxic leadership but it is what it is :(

he is very detail.. he makesure that we understand what we are doing rather then just doing it..
Awesome training. I’m not a pro in any way, shape or form and this stuff really helps. I just learned compressed low/high ready! Now to do some dry fire reps and then some live fire at the range!
Great training for anyone that lives in something called a house or an apartment, everyone should learn this.

He switched out that beautiful AR for a gorgeous mpx. I want one so bad
his teaching is precise the modern way.. i dunno the old ways/real combat but as a gamer.. we can see how aiming/ads looks like
in first person perspective that's how it is that high compress thing.
Thank you for the lesson very structured and informative.

So informative! It's all the little techniques that builds you.
Good to see you're posting rifle drill vids again
Great video!! Tu has a talent for Teaching!
@bodymanruss518, He sure does! One component of the Green Beret skill-set is the ability to effectively train others, typically indigenous warriors. For Tu, today it’s swat teams.
The best part of the video is him explaining his sling watching him manipulate his weapon in way he want to nothing but flow and efficiency
I enjoy these training videos. So practical
Finally another video!!! I always appreciate your video's Mr. Tu Lam. 🤙🏽
I'm going to train on my range today, using this method. Thank you.
