Are they compatible with each other? (I’m new sorry), or do they also have protocols similar to the radio? Also, I checked, like the mobula6 it doesn’t mention the fox (just the power I think)
The advantage of IPEX connectors is definitely the weight. If you´re going to get as less weight as you can from a quad, you can´t disconsider it. Smaller 20x20mm video transmiters with the MMCX connector weights about 2 grams more than if it was with a IPEX. About swapping antennas in and out, in a light setup you just want the lightest- a dipole, and you probably won´t change it anytime soon as it´s protected from the props, because in crashes the are so bendy that they can´t be damaged that way.
Yes I agree. Ive smashed my drone 100 p,us times and never broken the smaller IPEX lightweight VTX's they are excellent. I have a few even tbs 5G8 but im reluctant to use it ATM due to the reliability of the smaller 200mW VTX's.
I love the matek too bought 6 of them last spring. Had four of them reading 80 milliwatts on 25 milliwatts and to reading 15 milliwatts 25 milliwatts. So i coupdnt race them. Fortunately I have some Wing friends so the ones pumping out 80 milliwatts and 25 pumped out over a watt on 600 so I got them sold
Hey i got a few questions. Im new in the drone buissnis xD. So i have a drone.. If i now buy guggles... Can i just connect them to my camera in the drone? And how? Sry for my bad eng im German
Ok i have a Matek HV with Pyrodrone Hyperlite f4osd and I cannot get irc tramp to work no matter what I do. It is wired correctly as pirofliprc diagram says. I have tried betaflight 3.3.3, 3.3.3 w/akk patch, 3.4, 3.4 w/akk patch and Butterflight. I flashed back to 3.3.3 w/akk patch and it will work only when connected to betaflight configurator. Anyone have a solution for this? It is extremely frustrating.
I just bought a Tbs unify pro HV to change my stock vtx from Emax hawk 5. But I don't know how to swap it. Is there any instructions or videos out there? Sorry for my ignorance... I'm totally new to this FPV thing :p
Does the matek vtx come in a 20x20? Im considering this for a 2.5 inch build but have trouble finding where to put it. I am using the gperc px2.5 frame and using the mamba f405 stack.
Just an FYI.........those little mtx connectors have a limited lifespan They'll only stand up to so many plug/unplug cycles before they break. The bigger ones are slightly more durable than the tiny ones but they're still fragile.
Drone Camps RC Yeah, my bad. Sorry about that. I heard you say that about 30 seconds after I finished typing then I got distracted and forgot to edit my post lol. Keep up the awesome work!
I have several different ones and have to agree with the MMCX statement. I use hot glue on some of the UFL ones however sometimes it gets so hot it melts. I am changing most of my quads to smart audo or tramp as well. The new AKK VTX's are very nice as well and they even have the UFL and MMCX connector on the board. You should check them out. Nice review sir
I have heard more then one person say they are crap. Check out JJrotorgeek's video on them. Several guys in my club have had dead on arrival through Amazon. But several said they have no issues through buying them online stores....
I will check it out. I have the AKK FX3, the AKK BS2-OSD and AKK nano 3 and a few more AIO cameras and haven't had issues yet. Now the FX4 and Nano 3 are still new in the box as I picked them up in their last big sale. I do like their customer service, prices and shipping. I have had issues with things that everyone else swears by too so I find with this stuff it is hit or miss. I picked up the extra stuff in case my current stuff dies as I have a lot of BNF quads and I also wanted smart audio on my quads so went with the AKK. Man they even had a thing were they gave you free stuff if you ordered over 60$ worth and I contacted them and asked if I could sub out the free stuff for things I actually wanted (MMCX pigtails, antennas and a parallel charging board) and they gave me more than I asked for. So it's hard for me to knock them at this point. But I do get where you are coming from and always remember you often do not hear from the happy customers and it's usually the ones who have had a bad experience we here from. I do thank you for your advice though and will take it in consideration on my next purchase. Cheers John
Very informative and covers an often overlooked topic by youtubers. Thanks for making this!
2:09 oh that's what was happening with my visual. I thought I had a bad vtx. It was also super hot! Thanks for all the information.
Thank u for this video I'm a newbie I'm building my first drone and yes I need this information thank u again.
Also, the 30x30 VTX's have a microphone, which is handy since cams no longer come with one.
i still dont know what to get lol
I started with Mobula 7 (cheap & with prop guards) then freestyle & learnt & still learning) fpv that way
If you want a ready to fly, use the eachine novice 3 rtf cos it has everything to get started and amazing camera
is there a protocol between vtx and vrx? i mean, does a vtx required to be paired to a specific vrx or no? can i choose any vtx for any vrx?
There are these cheap high wattage vtx flooding the market nowadays and nobody reviews it.. could you make a video?
Are they compatible with each other? (I’m new sorry), or do they also have protocols similar to the radio? Also, I checked, like the mobula6 it doesn’t mention the fox (just the power I think)

Can you change the connecters yourself? Sorry if u already said it I had to take a phonecall and I'm lazy

Just buy a Tramp I've been flying them for a year now and I'll tell you not only do they last but support from Immersion RC is absolutely top notch
My matek mini vtx bottoms do not change the options and ha stucked on one power and chanel and it is almost new
Can you change that kind of stuff on a bugs w4 drone and change the receiver and add new antenna take them fake ones off
For an rc plane which is the best vtx 🙂
Can you do a vid on the HGLRC nano vtx?

Wish I knew this information yesterday about the vtx overheating. Hopefully I didn't do any permanent damage to my new and first fpv drone
New vtx's, nice....keep me posted on newest and maybe one of those 1200mw maybe

I’m blown away on how small these VTX are. My anxiety is kicking in...lol
Paul Guevara I’m waiting for my very first drone... Mobula 7, my anxiety is also top notch since I hear they are super fragile.
Hey Brother!
Yup, I had to solder one that didn't have these connectors🤦 I was sweating bullets the whole time. This is so easy!
Sir, Whats function of vtx
No unifys or tramp not much mention on smart audio or tramp telemetry either. Unless I missed it.
Dale Pattison Yea the most popular and most used VTXs don't get a mention 🤔.
I just wish they'd put an mmcx on the 5v unify (800mw version). I have seen the cover they are putting on the ufl but still not as good.
Excellent video. Thank you.
Excellent review Justin!!
Thanks! 1200 mw would be sweet, but isn't there a 1 watt limit in the US?
Thanks for sharing this , btw Id rather use rtv than hot glue, they hold up much better and heat resistant too
Thanks for the review! Greetings
Haven’t TBS got a nano VTX? I’m sure I have one in a box somewhere
They’re on my quads
😂
Still lost what is a lcd button
plz tell me how much far i can fly if i use 5.8ghz 200mv vtx
i run a old pc fan when im bench testing a vtx
great video, highly informative
No Rush Tank?
Wasn’t out at the time video was made.
Omg! Just noticed the year :) Video still helped me!
Firstskeet skeet
which one has the best resolution ?
dji, these vtx's are analog 4:3 or 16:9 depending on your camera and goggles
Just an FYI.........those little mtx connectors have a limited lifespan They'll only stand up to so many plug/unplug cycles before they break. The bigger ones are slightly more durable than the tiny ones but they're still fragile.
I mentioned that in the vid bro! 👋🏻🤣

Haha no worries man!
Thanks for your tutorials and thumb up for your pronunciation, which is quite clear to understand for non native english speakers!
