Hi Blaine, great to see the Gizmo in action :) How do you find the auto on and off road? I know you did Groenkloof with Roam Overland/Adrian, and am interested in how the Jimnys compared overall. Cant seem to find reviews on the new auto Jimny :/
The auto's 4x4 ability is amazing due to the fact that you have so much throttle control with torq converter and limited Brake LSD. Especially on rocky terrain when your foot needs to be precise. Less effort is needed. The auto does however hunt for gears between 3-4 when driving 120km/h loaded, but between 90-110 she is a beaut. The overdrive button keeps it in 3rd if you need it to. I have driven both and still love the auto, city driving and traffic is a breeze. Obviously manual more fun! Deon any choice is a good choice.
Blaine, do you think you made the right choice with the automatic? With a 4 speed auto, you might feel the acceleration is a bit sluggish when joining a motorway, for example?
Do you know if the front drive shaft spins in 2H mode? I've been searching for this information but I couldn't find anything. It would be useful to put a camera under the car to see that. Thank you!

Oh man, yeah thrse would sell pretty hard in the US. That much off-road ability, the build quality, good fuel economy...something is fishy that Suzuki isn't still selling here. I will say I think their cars are...rather oddly styled. The Jimny is just right though...like a modernized tin-top!

Hello! How to behave on the roads automatic transmission. How reliable is it? Maybe there are complaints? I plan to purchase Jimny on automatic.

Suzuki uses the best in the industry AISIN transmission so no worries there.

No , but looking at a EFS or Tough Dog Setup at a later stage. We tend to load a bit, then she sag a bit in the back.

Alexandru Cristian B there are auto front wheel hubs that get disconnected in 2h mode to disconnect the drive shaft.

No i dont think it will disconnect in reverse when in 4H or 4L. But once the transfer case selector is on 2H it will disconnect. Irrespective of gear.
