The Good Ol Days:
-L'Manburg was just a breaking bad reference and the Hamilton references never stopped.

HOW DID YOU KNOW I JUST FINISHED READING IT AND I CANT STOP CRYING😭😭
I have twenty minutes to spare so here is a pov: It's one of the evenings where the sun sets yet the stars are already bright enough to be seen. Fire lights up every ones face yet Wilbur's shines the brightest only battled by the bright laughter of Tommy. The campfire is warm and the stories and songs Wilbur tells are exciting and full of emotions. It's the cosiest and nicest the group has felt in a while as Tubbo and Tommy chase each other around the fire and Niki hums the tune to Wilbur's guitar supported singing. It feels light and free to sit in this group and just listen, to all their banter to their great tales of warriors and freedom, and even if you don't understand why Wilbur would sing about a pig in a crown fighting wars with potatoes you let yourself feel at ease “y/n, you joined after the wars right?“ Wilbur asked, after finishing his song about someone named sally, that seemed to love the sea a tad bit too much. You nod, and he grins “well then, we ought to tell you the story of this ye old country of ours aren't we?” You smile, although you know the story already. It was hard not to considering l'manberg and its independence was one if not the biggest event in this world's history, yet Wilbur seems oddly exited to tell you himself so who are you to refuse a man his happiness. “Please do tell, oh great story-teller Wilbur” you answer in a similar light hearted joking tone as his. Its one of those nights, with smiles as bright as the stars and friendship as warm as the campfire burning so peacefully, where you listen to Wilbur tell stories in the greatest of detail about how l'manberg came to be where you swear to fight for this, not sure if this means the country you joined or the group of people around this cosy little campfire.

I'm glad im not the only one who misses old l'manburg. I've been in this fandom since the pet war and its pretty lonely nowadays with how theres new members, most ogs have left,etc. This playlist made me so emotional and i loved it

i joined at around the time of the festival and the war with pogtopia, but even then i can tell its so much more heavy than it used to be
I don't understand how a make-believe country could become a home for so many, but who am I to question it? L'Manberg has always been something comforting, a symbol of happier times. I'm glad it existed. I'm glad we got to see it grow, see it rise and fall. thank you for giving us a home, Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, and yes, even you Eret.
my own pov: its a late night, only a few days after the battle was won. you've just joined L'Manburg being an outcast from the greater smp, and you didn't know much. So, Wilbur takes you too the van, gets you and him a few potions, and gets Tubbo and Tommy to sing with him. They tell you the story, the story of l'manburg. How it started, and every battle up till now. The world outside is shrouded in moonlight, but here is home. Here, inside this van, is the warmth and joy of home.
God, i know this is a comfort playlist but i can’t help but feel so sad…..i can’t let old L’manberg go and the times of that era, but i need to move on somehow otherwise i’ll just be crying about it forever. every time i hear about dream smp lore, especially old L’manberg or just L’manberg in general, i just turn into an emotional mess
You know I may not have been there when l'manberg was around but I've watched it all in order and it hits home that it's gone everytime I see the hole. L'manberg was something unique, and even though it only brought chaos it was a chaos all it's own.
Same, I wish I watched them earlier, sadly I missed most of the lore

Funny how we miss the good old days. We didnt even relize back then that, that would be the good old days, we just knew them as regular days. Only after we didnt have those days anymore, we relized how great and precious they were.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I've been in the fandom since August 2020 and it gets lonely with all the new members of the SMP and the fandom. the OGs that I used to stick with have mostly all left. guess it's just us now, huh?

The worst part about some of the new members is that they think they know everything that's happened. Then you mention something and they say it never did. T-T Someone legit told me that Tubbo never decorated the festival where he was publically executed. It's a sad day when that happens.

For me it's the opposite way round. I'm always late to trends, and I think I joined after Jschlatt's Manberg fell. I feel like I missed out on all the really juicy lore; the Dream prison break, the Las Nevadas arc, and Ranboo death arc were all entertaining, but it doesn't seem like those events hold the same effect as the revolution did on the fandom. To add to that, there's been a gap in lore and I am somewhat concerned the server is dead. I feel tempted to go back and watch those old lore streams, but there's a lot to watch, and I'm more interested in people's animatics (I also like to avoid the more crass content reactors lol). Should I do it? If so, could somebody give me a pointer as to where to start?

I followed the fandom more back like from mid-2020 to early 2021, and reading the comments here just kinda brought back a memory.
I think I was watching Tommy's stream and a battle broke out. When it was over I remember following a raid over to Niki and watching how friendly it was outside of lore. Seeing them gather the fallen items and try to return them to the owners. All around just such wholesome chill times. That's really my favorite thing to watch, when it's not serious and you can see friends just enjoying themselves together

ima get a pov : wilbur tells the old l'manburg of the great times and then tommy came and goes with wilbur talking the old l'manburg too and then wilbur talks the good times and then tommy talks the funny types of the l'manburg they all went laughing and then you fell asleep and then tommy and willbur also fell asleep and phil came and saw the three of you sleeping philza carrys you one by one to each bed and then philza went back to bed too (idk my ideas but that pic from my pfp thats not me thats my little sister-)
I don't watch the dream SMP but this is such a vibe, you captured my taste in music perfectly! Whenever someone asks what kind of music I listen I'll definitely send the link to this
I listened to this while looking back on my old mc worlds this made me so nostalgic from all of the good times I had with my friends and it reminded me of old l'manburg I loved all of the stupid things that went along during that time and even though I don't consider myself active in the fandom anymore this made me smile :)

I have a really strong emotional attachment to cTubbo (im 99.99% sure i do Not have psychosis but like its weird bro) and I really fuckin miss old lmanburg :(( when everyone was just messing around, when you could laugh and prank ppl for no reason, when tubbo and tommy streamed together everyday :(( i miss being carefree
having 2 cannon lives, no scars, only one 'traitor', being able to trust ppl, no acknowledged character trauma, just spelling independance wrong and making fun of dream :((

I still like coming back to this playlist, it got many of my beloved songs and just brings me back to a better time
I wish I could go back in time and tell my 2020/2021 self to click on those random dsmp animatics that came up as I was watching sanders sides animatics. I wish I was there while people streamed daily. I wish I was there when the server first started and the lore was just a bunch of people fooling around. I wish I was there for the beginning of L’Manburg and the election. I wish I was there for Tommy’s exile and the egg. I wish I was there for doomsday. I wish I was there for the finale when Dream was locked in his own prison. I wish I was there for ghostbur’s death. Heck I wish I was there for the prison break that happened a mere five days before I joined the fandom. I wish I was here before the “stans” and the antis. I wish I was here while some of the ogs still were. But I never will be. All I have is some strong nostalgia for things I didn’t even witness, for characters who’s stories are ending, for teenagers who grew up, for a dead smp that no one plays on anymore.
(Sorry this is kind of long rant, love the playlist tho :))

As much as I love the DreamSMP, it needs to end soon. Hell, even some of the members recognize that the story needs to end soon. It's just, there's so much story, so many unresolved conflicts and ideas, and most members don't have free time to do lore. Maybe one day, they'll get back on and finish it once and for all, all conflicts ending and everyone being there. And once the DreamSMP ends, another server will bloom, and we'll recreate these memories without even realizing it

I miss l’manburg so much. I’ve been in this fandom since before the disc war even began. I miss all the ogs and the people that left. I miss the simple days , I miss Wilbur, Tommy and tubbo joking around with each other, I miss the improve etc. I won’t ever forget those times, they are my childhood. I don’t care how old I get, the l’manburg flag still flies in my room. The new lore is killing me and I can’t believe that Tubbo had his last SMP lore stream the other day. Hello, you. You may not know me, most likely not, but stay for a while, because I would like to tell you something. It's a tale I've heard from a great leader, one that had so much joy yet so much pain in his life. The little bunny took his brothers on his adventures, showing them the world as he saw it, with the beauty it had to offer. One day, the bunny had taken his brothers with him on one of his adventures again, and they came face to face with a fox. The fox had no plans in hurting them, but said the bunnies had to stay within the boundaries of their field. If they didn't, well, the fox wouldn't be so nice anymore.

when the fandom wasnt toxic and large was just people making animatics and discussng what will happen next.
not cancelling every member for saying something in the past.
not the fandom telling people what they can and cant like when it comes to characters.
not judging those DID/OSDD systems for having alters based on characters.

i agree with you!! it used to be such a safe community and on some platforms it still can be, but we all get generalised and far too much hate for a minecraft server. i joined round the same time as you and i miss the early days
