@@jubuttib But the Harrier doesn’t have that big ol radar up front! Your right though it is a cool module! I’m really excited about the Strike Eagle though!
@@jubuttib that’s true, but the Strike Eagle takes it even further! What’s awesome is that the terrain-following radar is a separate piece from the main radar. That means you can be mapping the ground with the main radar, avoiding terrain with the radar in the nav pod, AND have the FLIR HUD. And since you also have the back seater, he can be manning the pod while you’re busy up front. With a good crew, this aircraft will be absolutely untouchable in strikes, particularly night strikes. I will be flying predominantly at night, and that’s for certain.
@@ricbish That is why people trusted Razbam when they promised originally that AV-8B Harrier owners will get the AV-8B+ as bonus once ED has finalized their ground mapping radar API. Then year later it suddenly was turned that it isn't anymore free for Harrier owners but will be separate full module price. And that was for most unacceptable because AV-8B N/A and AV-8B+ are in reality so similar that they share the same NATOPS manual even, because only thing that really changes is the aircraft nose, where + has larger radar dome cone, the DMT is removed and NAVFLIR is moved upwards ahead of the canopy. And only difference inside the cockpit is that when you push SSS switch after, you don't get DMT but you get same radar page as in Hornet for A-G mode in place of DMT screen. And when you hit the A-A thumbswitch in the stick, you get the A-A radar mode, and it is otherwise same as in ED's Hornet for everything, so just two radar page added and DMT feature removed. Even the flight modeling is so close to each others that it is slight adjustment only. Is it worth for next 79€? No....
@@paristo Thanks for telling me that. I didn’t even know they were planning on a different Harrier or upgraded Harrier. I knew there was one in real world but didn’t know Razbam had plans to put the radar in. I agree that should be a free or small charge if that! Not charge another full module price! I think that would fail if they try that and piss off a lot of fans.
Wow, it's looking much more sophisticated at launch than I would have thought! Definitely looking forward to the release... lot of hard work from Razbam putting together this module!
Brings me back to 1997 and Jane's F-15. Same exact everything. Logged over 8000 hrs flying the Jane's F15. This version will be infinitely better; a colossal improvement. What I liked about the F-15E (in Jane's) was the massive fuel load. This meant lots of low level high speed flying. My favourite mission was creating runways. Great video RAZBAM. Keep up the EPIC work.
Man I remember flying that back in the day! I can’t even imagine what we would have done with the way these simulators are now! I’d probably never have left my house! 🤣Jane’s had some cool sims back then!
I cannot wait for this module to come out! I worked backshop Avionics for the F-15E and LANTIRN system for over 14 years and I have always had a soft spot for this Jet!
Wow, that’s pretty sweet! I’m super excited for this module! So far it looks stunning! Your probably going to be someone who will be good to fly with from all that knowledge of the Mudhen!
I am writing through a translator. It's great that I found your channel where I can follow the development process. Considering that it will be a two-seater, and very well adapted for night work, it will turn out to be a very cool module. Thank you.
YEAH! YES! At last complete reincarnation of Janes F-15 Strike Eagle👍😄. I still remember how to operate radar, flir, mfd's etc. Only one cons its probable lack of good campaign mode and missions editor in DCS comparable to Janes game, but anyway its "must buy" product (and new more expencive HOTAS🥺) to get best playability from F-15E.
I can imagine this going way smoother with the WSO in the back seat. Just watching it I felt like getting system overload from Notso doing it all in the front.
Just watched the countdown video for early Feb. Straight on here to see that we got to learn with 350 hours in the F18 and A10C, this ground radar mode looks it’s going to be fantastic! Great work
I like how the flight is at night. Waiting eagerly for the Strike Eagle. RAZBAM made a great decision to engage real life F-15E pilot to explain the aircraft and its avionics. Great job Sir.
Wow! Really cool. The radar image is really fantastic! I’m surprised the F18 and F16’s radar cannot get a image that good! Really awesome stuff! I’m so looking forward to this module! Thanks for making the video! Great stuff!

The F-15E from the time that it’s being modeled in DCS didn’t have the JHMCS unfortunately. So no HMD. However they did say they may make a Frankenstein F-15E, which may get a HMD. I have a question: Maybe I have not understood something, but it is as if the images obtained by the surface radar were taken from above, however, from the TPOD they are seen from the correct position. Why is it like this? (18' minute) A great video, thank you.
I believe I heard mention that the F-15E will not have JHMCS, at least not initially. I don’t think the Air Force was in a hurry to equip the Strike Eagle with them simply because they’re more specifically assigned to strike/interdiction roles and they already have other platforms assigned for dedicated air to air missions.
