Are there any other areas of Player Development you'd like us at TMS to look at?
I'd like a look at figuring out what traits to train. My coaches' suggestions seem to be nonsense - and often contradictory. I have a keeper that I don't really care about and I'm waiting to see how many times my coaches will want him to: (use both feet - avoid weaker foot - use both feet - avoid weaker foot) before he shows up with an axe and just ends it all.
I think it would be good to get some strategies for dealing with players who become complacent (after signing a new contract, for instance).

I typically train the players in whatever role for their position highlights the most attributes so they're in theory improving as many areas as possible. So for example all CBs train as Liberos on attack, all CMs as B2B or Mezzala, and all strikers as CF.
Love that time saving tip for praising performances!
Easier than clicking 12 times and forgetting what you started doing in the first place

Hi. Great video, awesome view. I'd like to know how to train players over 30. Should I bother to keep training them in a specific role or is it enough to focus on those attributes that are decreasing?
Post-30, players have generally reached their potential ability so their development period has finished. I’d focus on a few areas:
Succession planning, ‘find similar players’, set up mentoring if they have good mentals etc
Also, check out the staff video with Phil Jones on the thumbnail. It’ll give you a good idea of what you can do with over 30’s 👍
@@TheManagersSeat Thank you so much, I'll check it out. I'm currently managing in Uruguay, and in South America, generally, is quite rewarding having players past mid 30s as first team players. That's quite a game changer in these regions.

Is it necessary to train position exactly the same as the primary tactic used? Perhaps I have a fullback which I want to train as an IwB but I use a normal fullback with cut inside with ball.and sit narrower PI in my tactic.
Not at all, the position you train will focus on the attributes highlighted. You could do a hybrid to develop specific attributes
@@TheManagersSeat oic. Will I then run the risk of the familiarity position and role in the tactic not getting to accomplished? Or do I just have to keep playing the player in that role to get the roll familiarity up? Sorry for the newb questions... I jumped over to fm 2022 from fm2014 lol
