After completing a fashion design course, is it better to pursue a job, an internship, or start a small business? What are the advantages of each option?"
Hello! The answer to this question would be really long haha. I’ll probably make a video on it but I don’t think one option is better than the other. A job gives you a steady income and you can start up if you have the investment too.
@@WithloveChristina "I'm grateful for your detailed and thoughtful response; it made things much clearer for me. Hello! I recommend doing a Bachelors at Nift. Fashion design is an extremely competitive field today with incredibly talented people, so you need to ensure you get into the top colleges in India. Hoping that helps!
Thank u for replying and can u say at this age what skills I can develop and which is very important for a good future. I am already good at drawing but drawing alone is not enough right? And I wish to join at NIFT . So first to pass the entrance exam itself I need many skills
@@WithloveChristina not in this video ma'am you have created a print development video in Adobe illustrator in that you used mirror effect but I'm not finding repeat option?

Hi Christina, next year I am applying to fashion colleges . As I have already completed my bachelors in science field I want to change my career path but can't find most suitable plan to pursue my dream. I am very intrested in applying to fashion school abroad but due to poor financial condition of my family I can't find any path. this year I give NIFT exam and secure seat in textile department in NIFT Jodhpur (where i live) but the fee was over our budget so I couldn't secure the seat and up loosing it. plz help how can I become fashion designer without exhausting my parents finance?
Hi Akanksha, I totally understand your situation. The unfortunate reality of this industry is that the top companies that pay well, offer jobs to only candidates from top colleges like Nift. The competition is also extremely high among graduates today and the talent and creativity is immense so if you already have a Bachelors in science, I’m actually not too sure how worth it it will be to do a Bachelors in fashion design. If it is a field that you are really really keen on, then Nift is the only college I recommend to get your Bachelors. If you are confident in your design skills, then you could look at the high fees of top colleges as an investment, one that you can pay back to your parents once you secure a high paying job at the top companies on graduation. But truth be told, I’m not too sure how smart a move it is to switch careers now. Hoping that helps and gives you a bit of direction!
