This video is one of my favourite on RUclips....Hadyn's "Requiem", the procession of the bishops, the graceful and solemn manner of Cardinal Schönborn as he blesses the faithful, the incense rising up over the faithful, and the Imperial garb. Absolutely exquisite.

Coming from Slovakia, one of the former parts of Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy, you are not told exactly nice things about Habsburg Monarchy in your History classes. But I still feel this is a part of our history. Of course, nobody in Slovakia even knew when Otto von Habsburg died, almost nobody even knows his name here. I have myself learned about him only today by reading articles about him, I have been surprised how long the last Habsburg lived, so I searched for some videos of him. But it is such a pitty, our state was formed only in 1993 and we renounced our entire history. We do not recognize Hungarian personalities, Austrian personalities, Czech personalities... It is so sad. And according to what I have read about Otto von Habsburg, he was really a great man. He had a diifficult, complicated life. But at least, he had the royal funeral he deserved. May he rest in peace.

Europe needs its royal families more than ever. And they need to take their roles and responsibilities very seriously and stop behaving like celebrities. (I understand that the heir to the Habsburg throne is a racing driver. He ought to grow up and take his heavy responsibilities with gravitas)
They are the heirs to the true elite which preserve our marvellous Christian identity and are the guardians of our traditions. European monarchies must be restored. Modernist fake democracies have failed utterly and elevate ignorance, venality and crass stupidity. The likes of Macron, Merkel, Boris et al are pathetic, empty and shallow; mere political chancers and opportunists. No wonder Europe is in a mess.

He’s become an authoritarian not connected to the people. He will not set us free. He has emasculated Parliament. He has allowed illegal immigration to surge ahead creating white flight to the countryside and to fuel ‘cancel culture’. (The C’s have a higher rating because Starmer’s infiltrated Labour is much, much worse). He awards contracts to the chumocracy, continues with Adonis’ HS2 gravy train to ruin our countryside, the planning ‘laws’ have become a spivs and speculators charter (he didn’t sack Jenrick over the Desmond scam), the town centres are becoming derelict, the music industry and theatres are decimated. Importantly, he sells arms to Sodding Arabia to bomb poor Yemen to smithereens and had not vocally objected to this genocide. And we really want to know what perfidy he’s involved with Biden over bombing Syria !

      2. He has been called upon to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. Of course he's had to impose rules you silly man.
      3. He has a majority in Parliament.
      4. He has not "allowed" illegal immigration - he has been shackled by old laws, money-grubbing lawyers playing the system and the active support being given to traffickers by the French.
      5. Ah, 'white flight' - yep - you've got a problem. I remember Blair and his open door policy Mr Gibson - you can't blame immigrants for responding. A new Immigration Act is long over-due.
      6. Change and decay is the story of history - coach drivers, coaching inns and canals lost out when the railways arrived. Empty high streets aren't anything new.
Bristol thrived but Chester declined when the Dee estuary silted up - change and decay.
      7. Are things any different in continental Europe, or the rest of the world - are the theatres crammed full of free-spending patrons?
      8. Are you referring the the Joe Biden who couldn't get up a flight of stairs? The Biden who doesn't attend press-conferences? The Biden who appears to prefer the EU to the UK?
