Looks bloody fantastic Blake!! The Satin black and the Orange really look awesome together mate.. On the home stretch now mate what a beautiful looking example 👌
I painted a couple of cars at home. One was an XB GS coupe and the roof was initially ruined by moisture bubbles. But once resolved I was amazed at how good it turned out, no clear coat required. So I know the feelings of accomplishment you are experiencing right now. Well done.
Hey Blake it looks better than new ,i was 20yrs old and my mate had just picked up his LX SLR 5000 a black and white brand new 1977 model it was a wild ride but overall paint wasnt as good as yours ,well done mate nice to see young blokes like you bringing these classics back to life Kym Adelaide
Mate top job, you have a big future in building cars.. If I lived in the same State as you I would definitely be hitting you up to work on mine..cheers.
Looking awesome mate, would be great if you could dedicate a few minutes in the process of how you wet sand to polish from a freshly painted surface👌 even if on a small part of the car,
Mate it looks sweet as, loving the video's! Probably my opion only & in no way a disrespectful comment, I still think it would've looked mean as in Alpine White. Still looks wicked though. Cheers!
Wow shes comn along now good job the orange with black outs really pops and yr motor trimmer is really good to he trimmed my cousins HT Monaro in the 80s and still going👍💪
G'day, Things are moving along awesomely. The fine green tape you used certainly leaves a crisp paint line. Q. Any chance of a link for it. Thanks for sharing your progress. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham 3810.
Hi Blake, brilliant job mate…looking forward to the next episode! Just about to start a LH resto myself, do you know much about deletion the proportioning valve? I’ve been told you can upgrade the master cyclinder to have an inbuilt system…any advice would be appreciated! Keep smashing the videos out mate, have plenty of my mates waiting for the next episode
Hi mate thanks for watching! Yes the booster and master I have fitted here is an old torana booster I split, and I added a vb commodore front half to it, which takes the square top master with inbuilt proportioning valve like a9x had. Hopefully this helps, I will have a video up in a day or two with a comment regarding this. Thanks mate
a guy i know has a genuine A9X Hatch he's had it 30 years, his brother was a designer at GMH Elizabeth he got him the genuine book of every LX torana with every build sheet and A9X made from GMH something no mortal man could get, I have looked through the book as I had 5LT SS ATT and been in the car their are only 500 built but only 90 Hatchs built and the majority of those went to racing teams which makes them the rarest cars ever built in Australia which its current value well over a million $'s what I have said here is 100% true. on your build the Black is wrong for an A9X it doesn't go to that far edge of the guard yours is like SLR, SS, and SS Hatch and apart from the Salisbury Diff with 2.6 ratio an is a dead give away from genuine A9X, other things are the rear floor pan is made to fit the larger diff the guards and rear 1/4 panel are cut out and re welded for the larger wheels and flares
"No Show Car" That's a show car to me, you've done awesome. Perfect.

Legend, thanks Blake! Look forward to the next video@@Evans_Racing
Mate, are you going to flow coat this one?? Please explain what it is? Cheers
Wrapped your going with the GTS rims…I thought you might go with the 80’s Hotwires.
GTS wheels for the win!
Mate why don’t you stick with the hot wire wheels. They look so much better then the Gts ones imho
