  • This is our second trip to Spider Mountain. This time the kids got to get some exposure to the great features on the mountain. If you would like to get a little more information on Spider Mountain Bike Park be sure to check out the first video from earlier this summer.
    • Mountain Biking Spider...
We cannot even begin to articulate how hot it is in Central TX in the middle of summer. On this particular day the temps rose to over 103 degree. We bring our a canopy tent, camping chairs, our yeti cooler and an IcyBreeze. The canopy tend and cooler provide a place to come and rest and hydrate in the share. The Icy Breeze Cooler helps to quickly cool you down. In TX this is important and plays a part into how many rides you can actually get in throughout the day.
Staff at the park is great. I popped a tire while landing a small jump and the staff had all the necessary service techs no site and gear to fit me up and get me back on the mountain pretty quick.
Tickets to Spider Mountain are roughly $60 per person unless you buy in advance and children under 12 are free.
Thought trails are made up of a lot of loose gravel it is still a great place to come and progress your skills and comfort. It has been great to watch the kids level up their riding skills since the beginning of the season. They are brave and courageous.
Hope you enjoy the video and we hope you get a chance to make it out to Spider Mountain bike park, you will not be disappointed.

Without a doubt. She could not stop talking about how exciting that drop was yesterday. Thank you again for that lead in and coaching.

Spider Mountain looks like a blast! I would love to ride there!
I love all the spider-themed trail names, too.

Good video. I just had hip replacement surgery on the left him. I will have to wait 6 months, but I want to go to Spider Mountain.

Ouch! I hear hip replacements can be painful. Here’s hoping you are having a good rest and recovery period. When you do back up and running you will have a good time at Spider!

@@enjoythejourney9805 Well, the surgery was not bad at all (20 July). It is the recovery that takes a long time. Even for me, who works out twice a day. In the mean time, I am having my mountain bike rebuilt. But I am also going to have to probably give up riding a road bike. If I fell off of it, the doctor told me I would have to go to the emergency room and have a "plate" (what ever that is) installed. Then he said, you don't want that. So even now when I begin riding with my group again I am going to the mountain bike with no snap on pedals. I have to be able to put my foot down immediately if there is a problem. That being said, I am looking forward to getting my bike back and gently start peddling again.
