Great video kid. The company that runs Spider Mountain runs the Arizona SnowBowl in Flagstaff, AZ as well. The are actively investigating whether the can make a "Spider Mountain" at SnowBowl. Here's hoping so! Cheers!
Yeah, the Snowbowl thing has been strange. I've heard they started building trails back in Nov '17, with an opening date of spring '19, then on hold because they didn't do the proper environmental assessments, etc.. It's been tough finding any real info since they've been keeping it pretty hush-hush.. I'm beginning to lose hope
@@chumpmtb2554 That stinks. Hopefully they can get it figured out. I imagine it would be a great park, and probably see tons of Phoenix riders come up during the summer months!
@@huntstyle It's happening here in MN too. We've always had ski areas but for a long time nobody wanted to make the investment in bike trails and lift operations in the summer. Now we have at least four ski areas running the lifts in the summer and building some really fun trails.
@@KrisYahner That is awesome! Yeah, if the lift is already there for skiing, I would think it would make sense to add some revenue in the summer with mountain biking! In our case, obviously, there's no skiing!
Kiddo and I drive down there from FTW almost every sunday. The videos from early last year get me all glossy eyed about how blown out the trails have gotten in spots.
Kyle was there early this year and it looked pretty good on his videos. But yeah there's just so much traffic, and only a handful of trails so they just get hit over and over again!
If you're in the area, yes. I probably wouldn't travel from out of state, unless of course you want to ride park in the winter, as this is your only choice.
Ok Ill probably sound as stupid as i do green. I want to visit this park within the next couple weeks. I only have one bike. A trek hardtail. Am i safe to visit and ride this park or am i being to ambitious?
I've seen several people on hardtails out there, but it depends on your skill level. The green trail is fine for any bike. They do have rentals there, also.
Did Spider Mountain pay you to be out there and all? And give you a free bike? And free massage? We all know that RUclipsrs get special perks! ok I’m done trolling 😆 spider mountain looks dope!
I love that place. I need to finish my video from opening day still!
Yeah, I've wondered where your video is!
Tonight, maybe?
Definitely agree on viper's den. Sooooo much fun, especially after a couple runs when you start to learn the lines and push faster. Love it!
Thanks for sharing.
So sick
I just saw Cobra Kyle's video on it last night and now yours.
Your quality is amazing!
Can't wait to visit Burnet.
Thanks! Yeah, it is definitely worth a visit!
Glad to see that Texas finally has some lift service.
Yes sir!!!
Nice man. That’s my brother that passed by on that steep part. RUclips famous. Lol
Oh cool! Yeah, Kyle and I regret not just trying that! It was just the turn & jagged rocks that made us sketched out!

That'd be awesome! I've heard chatter that in the past they haven't put much into the Snowbowl, so hopefully they can spruce things up!
@@huntstyle There's a really big problem up there, so don't hold your breath. (can't say it online)

Looks rad! Nice to see that folks all over are realizing that you don't need a ton of elevation to build fun, gravity trails.
Definitely! They're short runs downhill, but it's easy to just go back up and do it again!

Crystal-clear video!!!! WOW!
Thanks! All from the good old Hero 4!
With a gimbal? Or no
Great edit! Looks like a great park in an area that really needed it. It on my list of places to visit.
Thanks! Yes, it's a game-changer for Texas, and for a lot of other places where this could be possible!
yeah buddy! The place looks like a lot of fun.
I think you'd enjoy it!
What a fun day! I'd go back this weekend if it wasn't another $50 haha. You cleared some jumps there, the landing was almost silent!
I know! I always love that silence! I'd go too if it wasn't another $50 AND 7 total hours of driving!
Sweet man. I am jealous you have lift access near you -- in Texas! 👍👍
It's a good 3.5 hour drive for me, but that's still way closer than going to Angel Fire!
@@huntstyle not too far! I meet you in Angel Fire when it opens back up.
Good video
Looks like fun place to ride
Thanks Kim! Yeah, it is lots of fun, you should check it out!

Sweet riding dude! Great video! Subscribed.
Thanks man!
Good looking trails and an excellent video!
Thanks Christopher!
place looks so fun! nice ride :)
It sure is!
Well well Mr Huntstyle! We meet yet again. ;)
Shred on
Haha! 🤘
You ever heard of Bandera Bike Park in south TX? I think it's also a pretty new place, it got a lot of improvements last year.
Yep, I know Tony (MTB Drop In) has done several videos there
Oh yeah I know that channel, also a good one. I actually watched his video about Bandera Bike before, Eric from No Front Brakes was in that one too.
is it worth the 50 dollar per day lift ticket price??? Tresel Park (Winter Park Colorado) is only 40.00 per day

Everyone droppin' spider vids, ha. Mine hits tomorrow
Yeah buddy! Haha, lots of excitement for the opening, for sure!
I want to go here eventually but I think I’m going to need a new bike first. What would you recommend?
This was before the wall ride also I guess
Awesome video and nice riding skills! I think when I go I'll stick with the green and blue lines! lol Thanks
Thanks! The green & blue are super fun!
Man I'm in houston...i think I need to make the drive out there
Place looks fun!
It's awesome! Can't wait to see what other trails they put in there!
Defiantly gotta try that down hill stuff lol
No climbing is always way more fun, haha!
When did you guys go down there? It looks amazingly green! While I'm stuck inside in Iowa.
Last Friday, the 15th. It was 85°! We have a lot of trees down here that stay green year-round.
85!!? That's awesome!
@@twright1211 yeah, it was hot! Then 37 the next morning, lol!
Ok

Were you running your jeffsey?
Yep
Great vid!
Thanks!
How far from home is this for you man? I'm thinking of making the trip in a month or 2. I'm sure some of the Goons will join the caravan as well.
A little over 3.5 hours

I wish I got everything for free! This is one expensive hobby! It is dope, when are you coming to visit?!
Hope they but some big booster jumps out there.
That first table top is a pretty good size. I'm not sure if there's another good spot to put jumps, but who knows what they have planned!
Planning on going out there this weekend. Just hope the weather holds off
@@yothach Have fun!!
Are you required to wear a full face helmet there?
I don't believe so, but it's a good idea to.
Aaaand now I have to move to Austin
Haha, right?!
The double black is extremely loose and goes down fast, I crashed in my video at spider mountain.. videos on my youtube
Wish I would've tried it, but I probably would've crashed, too, haha!
It’s a completely different kind of riding speed isn’t as much your friend, and it was sooo dusty from everybody breaking through it
@@Charliebaird943 Yeah, when you get that steep you can't really just let it rip, or you'll be in trouble!
Very true @huntstyle , imma try and go back whenever there “spring break” is
