@@guidemeChrist I think what disguised it for me was the substitution of the IV7 (Bb7) for its ii-7 (Fmin7) and the fact that the tonic is a major seven instead of the conventional tonic dominant chord.
@@UkuleleAversion in stricter the bebop, the more likely the first chord in a blues is major and not dominant of four. Also the F-7 is just the important minor of the V/bVII aka IV7
so in conclusion this is just a blues like any other when played by pros, the substitutions that jazz musicians will throw in anyway are just written into the head
