    I want you to make a second part of this video in which the next step is mentioned, after learning all this, how should we search for jobs and where should we start searching? I am a programmer. Try find mentors from both fields ask them all questions from your head related to those two fields and lastly find yourself a conclusion to what you'll have to decide on and do more research on both fields .

    • @TheLastCodebender
      @TheLastCodebender  7 месяцев назад +2

      honestly bro both options are great, you cant really go wrong. Actually if you go ahead and master both, you will be unstoppable, it's a very powerful combo. You can try both and see what you like more; e.g. you can try to build a small interesting coding project with javascript, see if you like it. Then try something related to sales, maybe some books or small course. If you end up liking both options equally and want to start with something, I think coding is easier to learn now compared to later on in life, sales is easier to pick later IMO so that might be a consideration too. What I would recommend you is to look at it in relation to your goals, what do you want to do with those skills, what are you trying to achieve ultimately. Sales and coding should just be tools for that mission, they are not end goals

    I should stop my trainee at the company I work for. I just should search for a full time work cause the most things I can do already. Sometimes idk I stepped to fast into the trainee work.
    Btw. im from Germany and I want to ask do you prefer to work for Companies at the USA or for my own country (For money).

    • @TheLastCodebender

      US will pay a lot more ofc, so from a money perspective, it's usually better to either work here or work remotely for a US company. How long have you been a trainee? If you can go for a fulltime position now, that's probably better!

    Uff learning JavaScript in 1 Month seems unreachable for me 😂
    Very good Video !

    • @TheLastCodebender
      @TheLastCodebender  7 месяцев назад +1

      haha its definitely intense but the approach here is that you don't dive deep into the theory, you go through a course fast and then spend time building projects, that's how you will learn the most + the good things about projects is that you will constantly look things up when you get stuck so you will learn a lot like that.
      For javascript btw, I recommend this course: www.codecademy.com/learn/introduction-to-javascript

    • @TheLastCodebender
      @TheLastCodebender  7 месяцев назад +2

      basically the advice I give to complete beginners: you learn the basics of coding through an intro course -> work on a cool project -> get stuck trying to build a feature -> search how to solve it (google/stackoverflow/chatgpt/yt tutorial/course/talk to someone) -> find solution -> learn -> build your next feature -> get stuck again -> search how to solve it -> learn -> etc. etc.
      That's the optimal way of learning IMO.

    Salamun alaikum brother I am 30 years old cardiologist, do you think is it too late to change my carrier?

    • @TheLastCodebender
      @TheLastCodebender  7 месяцев назад +1

      WaAlaykum Assalam! I think its definitely possible, but you have to know that the market is brutal right now. If I was you and I wanted to become a software engineer, I would do this:
      1. Sign up to a good bootcamp. Check the LinkedIn profiles of people who recently graduated from that bootcamp, check where they work. If you like the companies, means the bootcamp is good. If not, I would avoid it. If you don't find any bootcamps/can't sign up, then you can use the roadmap I created for you: lastcodebender.com/. Go through it and ideally try to have someone else who you are learning with (an accountability buddy/partner), it will make the experience much better and you will learn faster that way. You can use my discord server for that, maybe someone will be interested.
      2. Use all the advantages you have. If you are a cardiologist, you have a very specific background that other programmers won't have, try to think how you can turn that into your advantage. One thing you could do is focus on healthcare companies and build a portfolio around healthcare projects, those companies will see these projects on your resume and it will help you standout.
      3. Use your network. If you know anyone who can help you finding a job, talk to them. Try to create opportunities like that. It will help you get your first work experience, even if its small. In tech, work experience is huge, when you don't have any, it makes it very hard. You can also use LinkedIn to reach out to people working at companies you like, ask them questions about the job, explain your situation. It might even lead to interviews if you tell them you are interested in a job they have, and by that stage you updated your linkedin profile and they see it (it happened to me)
      All the best brother! Hope these tips help!

    • @TheLastCodebender
      @TheLastCodebender  5 месяцев назад +6

      2-4 years? you don't need to do a phd in JS
      the periods I mention is if you want an intense fast track to become a full stack dev, where you code everyday, it's basically like a bootcamp program. If you don't want that, then it's longer but you don't need to spend years on it that's for sure, you need to move to more relevant techs like React or Nextjs once you have the fundamentals of JS, that's what is valuable in the market

You are much better off using that time building more projects that will teach you a lot and look great on a resume (which helps you find a job).
