I saw a Raptor on the bridge heading into SF the other day. It's a very impressive vehicle. Love the more recessive FORD grille. Don't care for the decals, they are ugly and won't age well. BOY would this be a fun truck in the Texas desert. A monster truck that has a factory warranty. A much better value than the Mercedes G Wagon. You can crush a Prius with this beast. I don't know anyone who could actually use what this offers. It reminds me of that touching moment in Ford vs. Ferrari where Henry Ford 2 is in tears, wishing his grandfather could experience the Ford GT. I wish Henry Ford 2 could have experienced this Raptor truck, because it is truer to the original spirit of the founder, who wanted vehicles that were practical, and this truck can do almost anything; it can go into the roughest terrain, and carry useful loads. It's not a track focused toy for rich dilettantes, but an actual usable monster. Myself i think the Ranger Raptor is enough for any mortal, and this truck doesn't fit small parking spaces due to its width.

I’m curious if the 37” wheels on the 3.5 trucks will be the style of wheel seen on this R? Basically what they did in the previous version…or if this will be an R only wheel?

It's not king until Ford puts a manual in that truck.I've tried the amazing A-10 and other modern and amazing automatics that are available today. Although they're good, nothing beats a manual. Period. As I heard regarding another vehicle- "I'm the mapping. I don't need the electronics. I know how to do it." While there are times and places where an automatic makes more sense, nothing beats rowing your own gears. Beautiful truck.
Great video! Raptors are incredible trucks. For my experience Fords are really reliable trucks. Unfortunately the markup will be insane. I wouldn't be surprised if $50k over. The current raptor it's been marked $20k in many dealers. At least in TX.

@@The-fs5wn : It's the same suspension & interior you get in the regular Raptor. It's not far better. So the only thing you're getting for the extra $$$ is the engine. Though who wants a Raptor with the 3.5L with exhaust that sounds like a JDM car.

Ford Australia are slowly bringing in factory f-150s but are yet to announce the raptor. Hopefully it's only a matter of time because this is probably one of the best vehicles. Let alone trucks. This would be an absolute beast on southeast Queensland beaches. Hook up a tri-axle Kedron and you are in heaven.
Wonder if they relocated the driving sensor from the bumper to the grill or not. Would keep it from ever having issues especially if trying to upgrade the bumper
Great review, good to see the same Raptor design for about 15 years running with no actual really relevant change other than more power and bigger screens, which could have also been done 15 years ago with turbos/supercharges and an iPad...
That would be a fun machine for anyone who can afford it. Suggested music to go with you in that truck: "Free For All" or "Cat Scratch Fever" by "Uncle Ted", and anything by Molly Hatchet. 😊

I enjoy your reviews. However, no stockish truck Chevy, Dodge, or Ford!!! Is worth $100,000. No stockish Mustang,Corvette, whatever is worth $100,000. Period. Especially when wage, taxes, and inflation is at ridiculous levels. American people shouldn't have to be the last to receive aid from the U.S. Government. Americans shouldn't have to work to pay taxes, after taxes, after taxes. Period.

I have a 2018 raptor. I really want the R. I don't need to test drive it as I already know I'm going to like it.

It’s a vastly superior ride, way faster, far better interior, and has a boatload of actually useful features.
