I never heard of this guy before. I am reading Marr’s Guitars and Johnny Marr mentions that he gave a guitar to him. I figured I would check him out. Wow! Really good music 👍🏼
More views now, but still underrated. I remember the first time I heard this in a bar. I didn’t even know Bernard had a new record out, but I knew it was him instantly.
I love Suede, but they definitely lost something when Butler left as he was also a writer for the band. One of the most iconic guitarists of the 90s alternative scene :-)
I didn't notice that this video exist... It's one of my favourites Bernard's songs. And I love when he goes mad, stops playing guitar and clap his hands LOL!
first album was great, this album was great and more electric, shame it tanked due to the record label (creation) going under and not telling him. great gig at shepherds bush tho, for the first one, and residency at the garage, last one being half acoustic and half electric, excellent
used to listen to this and his other songs back in school days, but what an underrated artist he is, his songs are great, and in my opinion he sings better than brett
I don't think it's a matter of who's better. In my opinion, it doesn't make much sense to compare him with Brett simply because they used to play together, they are two different acts and they are both fantastic musicians.
@@krystianadryanczyk4583 sure Brett has that stage presence and what not, one of his talents, but after watching so many live singing sessions, I'd say Bernard sings better, no worries mate, to each their own.
Brett sacked Bernard, because he thought he was the competition, in the band.... ever since that day, I didn't like Brett, sorry "Suede" (supposed to be a band... nah....)... give me Bernard any time over "brett".. (don't like him....)...
No one sacked him, he left himself cos he didn’t like where the band was going. When he left it just became completely different band but still a great band. And Richard might have been just copying Bernard’s parts when he joined but grew into solid guitarist and composer. Just listen to the last three Suede albums, brilliant!
@@ollyg235 AGREED. You don't get "Coming Up" by just being a BB clone. The guitar work on songs like Starcrazy and Picnic by the Motorway is excellent. Latest albums are wonderful too, agreed.
Great artist. I love this style playing the guitar.
In 1999 I bought 3 CDs of People Move On. Not Alone still helps me get through stormy times and this track.

People Move On and his Suede stuff is better than this.
Sep 2020, Still awesome/ Brilliant Track
What an underrated artist. Less than 5k views, God.
Arnu Morales I know. I kinda like it in a way, like he’s our lil secret........Epic tune xd

Seriously? The guitarist of Suede underrated? Sad world.

This is a great song and the album is excellent!
What a fantastic song. Always puts a smile on my face

Bernie rockin' on! Love this song and the whole album. It's a shame he does not make another record
I’m in this video!! Wonderful song, should’ve done much better in the charts.
Nice guy! i know him from Suede.. but I also her a Roxette song in it ?

Muaz Zafar Nope, Brett sings better, but Bernard is an awesome guitarman

You really think he sings better than Brett ? He has no voice at all. But I totally agree he's great artist.

Sing better than Brett? Oh come on. I love Butler but he doesn’t have anything like the range Brett has - not even close.

They couldn't replace him really. Richard was just an average strummer. Thousands like him.

Richard is a great guitarist but nobody can took the Bernard place.
