- I saw this comment and had to hop on real quick and share about how Anansi and African mythology inspire me as an aspiring writer and storyteller. I also share one of my impossible dreams of becoming a professional Storyweaver.
The Africans who were “settled” in the Caribbean section of the Americas brought their Anansi stories with them. This great spider’s exploits are featured in Jamaican folklore. 🕸️🕷️🕸️🇯🇲😉❤

I would think in the ever evolving telling of Anansi stories to fit the needs of the tale being told, that your stories would be accepted. I would venture to think Anansi was used as the main character in many stories created to be told to many a person.
I would like to think so. It’s funny, I have no problem playing with other mythical characters, but for me I worry so much about messing up Anansi. Probably because I like the character so much. But I’m gonna try

I am wondering if there is a connection between Anansi people and Anasazi people, sometime long ago? Spiders are fascinating and understandable why they hold such prominence in the human story. I hope your rest helps your bod.
