Quick note - do not over-tighten the sump plug, the sump is made of softer aluminium and it's very easy to strip the threads giving you an annoying oil leak - make sure to tighten to correct torque
No many info on google in regards to viscosity? Lot's say 5w 30 inc honda forums... Euro car parts say 0w30 is ok as long as none dpf which many or most are none dpf ... Dpf are 5w 30 of course. But i believe dpf where an aditional extra from the factory or when cars where being exported beyond e.u .
Do you have to reset oil life on this car when you change the oil? Some models do not have the oil life option on the screen and I do not know if it is important to reset it using a diagnostic tool or no. Good video :)

I think the ictdi never had a dpf but all the idtec did have dpf. 0-30w seems to be good for this (ictdi)
I've used 5w30 for a few years now and haven't had any problems - yearly oil change

The filter nut looks like a standard hex nut, why do you say a special socket is required?
If I remember correctly it's a 76mm 14 flute socket, you don't get them in any normal socket set.
