Ey Jamel you made my day with your reaction, they begin to practice after 18, well I thought; but after see this video there were a couple of young girls around 10, 12. This is very tipical or regular to see in the plaza de toros or lienzos Charros (it's a big round place where you can see bulls, horses and people riding on them something like rodeos ) in Mexico City, Guadalajara or any town or City with Bull festivities (fiesta de toros), the music is with Banda Sinaloense. But yes, they weren't professional quebradita dancers, they were only like a get together to show what you can do. Thank you for enjoy our music, our dances and our singers. You still have a long way to know about Mexican culture and welcome to explore it👍😄🇲🇽 Oh and I forgot to tell you this happens every weekend.
Maybe prefer dance .. Its not a popular sport hear.. The little girls prefer dance class and this class of music its typical hear and the dance whit family and friends party of curse thats its school of dance banda more advance
It is because all the sport in Mexico is "politicized" most of the soccer players, gymnasts and Olympic swimmers are family of politicians or businessmen friends of politicians and help them to be in those events. It is sad but it is a reality in Mexico, many soccer players of the national team have said in interviews that to play in the national team, the Mexican soccer federation asks them for a fee, something like paying to represent your country, something that people with real talent do not do it for lack of money, when it should not be like that ... That is why Mexico has a "Shitcharito" instead of a Ronaldinho or Messi.
The Quebradita (Spanish: "Little break", referring to the breaking of a wild horse and a female dancer's back bends) is a Mexican dance style. It is usually performed to a Regional Mexican song, specifically a lyrical charanga or instrumental mambo. The dance style was made especially famous by the Regional Mexican subgenre of Technobanda. In the quebradita there is a male dancer and a female dancer. The male dancer lowers the female dancer backwards almost to the point where she touches the floor. Then the male dancer quickly pulls her up. This is what the "little break" refers to.Compared to the brinquito or caballito dance styles, which use athletic, trotting steps, quebraditas emphasize acrobatics. The musical instruments from popular quebradita groups are electric guitars and instruments with synthesizers. The quebradita was very popular in the 1990s, especially in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
I was 20 when I moved to LA from Guadalajara Mexico back in 1990 I was 20 and love dance quebradita a was one of my favorites dances after the cumbia and la Banda and pasito duranguense y tribal Very proud to be a Mexican 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
I remember this style of dancing became really popular when I was in grade school back in the early 90s, then I kind got replaced in popularity by El Pasito Durangueze I don’t think that’s spelled right. It’s gotten more and more acrobatic as the yrs have passed I see. But then, I’ve been out of touch since they told me that cumbias were now danced holding each other than just facing ur partner 🤷🏻♀️
Judith Fortuna it’s funny because I had never seen anything like it until I moved to the US, in the small town I live before I would just see them dance banda and its similar but w/o the speed and the acrobatics, as I’m sure u kno
I began at the age of 15 - 19. It was so much fun. I never broke anything either. I wouldn't dance with just anyone though. They also had to know what they were doing.
I laughed so much with this reaccion to one of my favorite dance “Quebradita” This was crazy crazy in the 90’s best times ever.. i think i hurted my back w this dance. But yeah you have to be light to get lifted like that well now i am too old i was 15 back then.. I was once in a dance competition and our group won with best choreography and best music mix those were the good old days glad everyone still enjoying quebradita ❤️
Thanks to you for these special moments that you make us pass and when you come to Mexico remember that mi casa es tu casa...I recommend you reactions to the video of la chona DE los tucanes DE Tijuana
Love your reaction!!! You had me laughing thru it all! It's like Cheerleading + Banda= Quebra-Cheer-Bandita!!!! My sister was 14 and danced quebradita in the 90's...not quite as pumped like they do it now. But back in the day...they did it in style! Everyone dressed in jeans, leather boots and vests and a cowboy hat to top it off! The hat was even part of the dance...twirling in the air! You guys remember, right??? 😁
There isn't really an age when they start training, we are kinda just born into it, and grow up learning it. If your passion for it is big, then you learn more and more. if you look on youtube, you can find videos of girls doing these styles of dance as early as 14/15 for their quinceneras.
I was in high school when this was popular. I loved quebadrita even though I never danced like THAT! My brother would tell me I was to tall.....5'6 and that I would be dropped on my head! 😣 😆
You made my day, I was so bored here in Sweden but you remained me when I used to dance la quebradita en Guadalajara. No body here in Europe will understand me . Your expression are hilarious 😜I love it here in Sweden nobody show no emotions at all 😳
OMG... I love watching them dance. I could never dance like that though. I guess I used to dance the beginners version of the quebradita, LOL. Loved your reactions. God bless!!
I am Mexican American and grew up listening to this kind of music and watching these quebradita battles. I still feel the same when watching them..... anxious 😂 LOL
Thanks for reacting to this. I had fun with you. I have two left feet, but enjoyed watching the beginning of quebradita back in the 90s. It was different back then and now has evolved to this.
I know I’m gonna get a good laugh when I watch your videos. Your reactions are the best. I’ve never laughed out loud watching any other RUclipsr, thank you, thank you for making my days so much brighter with your laugh, smile, and great facial expressions. Best reaction so far. We love you Jamel. 👍🏽
The bumps and bruises from Playing under the Friday night lights in West Texas in 1997 didn't compare to the ones I would get dancing quebradita on a Saturday night. Number one rule! Find the lightest girl on the dance floor lol! Man thank you that took me down memory lane! Excellent work! Wwwwwwwooooooo man if I could still dance like that now and live through it. #nocellphonesinthe90storecord

Lmfao!!!! I love your expression within the first couple of seconds, priceless!!! I remember those days, how I envied the girls who danced like that! With my strict parents, we were forbidden to dance that way or hit up those parties lol... good times!!! 😂
Yeah the best quebradita was from the 90's and unfortunately most people didn't record it. I remember this dance outside someones front yard in Mexico just spontaneously just because someone brought out speakers lol now that was seriously the best.
We started age 14, back in the 90's and we improvise on the dance floor never practiced!!!! It was the forbidden dance, never danced this in front of my folks...lol. we'd sneakout to go dancing all night. Had to be super lite on your feet, I was 5'3 and 115lbs , remember being tossed around like a rag doll, it was so much fun😄 brought back good memories 🙌
OMG! I love watching your reaction to the videos. You're just as much fun to watch as the video. I got a smile from start to finish. Thank you for that. I can tell you're a genuinely nice person. Looking forward to your next video.
Ooh my good lord! LMAO the entire day until I went to sleep! Your reaction was the best I have ever seen in RUclips 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you! Love your videos .

I think it’s called quebradita cause who wouldn’t end up with a broken back after a dance like that 🥴
Yeah, when a girl would be asked to dance, they would tell her, "Te van a quebrar."
Exactly...it was many possibilities for end the dance with broken or dislocated bones with that dance style
It's called like that cuz that's how the girl will end up if the guy don't catch her.
