The Prophet Muhammad Pbuh has stated,You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)? And what did the Jews and Christians Do? They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allāh,1 and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary.2 And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him. Since the Jews and Christians committed shirk and left the Deen it would only make since that Muslims would do the same, but how? Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan (may Allah bless and protect him) said: “Taking steps to protect oneself is an objective, especially in gatherings during the two ‘Eeds, the five [daily] prayers, and Jumu’ah. They must keep a distance from each other these days, fearing the spread of the contagion. There is to be a gap between each two people. Aside from this circumstance, it is legislated that people praying are to come close together and not leave gaps for the Shaytaan, as the Messenger (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) ordered that the rows must come close together, and they must not differ (forming uneven rows or rows with gaps). He said (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace), “Do not differ [in the row], lest your hearts differ!” So the Muslims must pay attention to this matter. This separation is only temporary, after which they will return back to what Allah, the Exalted and Most High, has legislated about the rows (i.e. the base rule of coming together closely). Following this order where the Sheik commanded Muslims leave what Allah legislated & "temporarily"follow his guidance by disobeying Allah and placing 6ft gaps in Allah's prayer line to protect them from a virus with an over 90% survival rate where must who succumb to it are elderly or suffering from other serious illnesses. The Quran states.they will say, "Our Lord, surely we obeyed our masters and our great ones, so they made us err away from the way. 33:67 similar to those who are now supposedly following the Salaf... Abu khadeejah never completed bulughul-maraam. To casually acclaim completing that book so casually is amazing. I completed that book in study and attempted to memorise it and almost did in 5 years except the last chapter and I never felt so stressed having to go over and over and over again in its memory forgetting having to go back 800 hadith back in revision.... he hasn't done it no way ask him to complete kitbag as-salah in memory I bet he can't do it let alone ever having dont it in the first place. First of all, a person is not allowed to listen to anasheed as stated by the major scholars such as Ahmad an-Najmi رحمه الله. Many haven't pointed out that he was disrespecting and in a mocking tone/manner saying "Shaykh Rabee" which is belittling a major scholar and he was also belittling the books of the Salaf and the ones who have studied them. Perhaps many of Bro Hajjis followers do not even know, to whom it is permissible to call by the title Shaykh! It does not mean someone is an 'Allamah if they are referred to as Shaykh.الله المستعان والله أعلم. May الله guide you and us.
I’m not defending Abu Khadeejah and I take what shaykh Waseeallah Abaas said regarding him - but this video seems to belittle these books and there size when the information in them is priceless. The average person hasn’t read them let alone listen to them explained by a scholar. Being immature about Abu khadeejah is one thing but joking about the books is another. Ask your mashaykh about those books and a man mocking the size of the book.

If that's the case then anyone can read as much as he has which is not much and therefore be eligible for the same or similar level of platform that he has been given. Studying under a scholar gives the degree. For example you can read millions of medical books but you will not be considered a doctor. A student who studies 10-15 medical books and pass the exam is doctor ok
Knowledge is not to be repeated like a parrot reading all the books one can gain access to. But it is to be applied then it is knowledge. A doctor reading all the books and not practising his studies on patients cannot be considered a doctor but an advisor.

I'm really sure there will be and there are many sincere brothers who associate to Wright street/spubs, I am good friends with a few myself, but I'd recommend to stick with a masjid. I attend GLM occasionally but otherwise my local masjid. Attend for salah regularly. Ask Allah swt for sincere guidance. Truly He will guide you. I went through a decision similar to yours. Ask sincerely. Study your deen, start slow, start with Qur'an, accompany it with some basic aqeedah such as usool ul thalatha, start 40 ahadith imam nawawi. Take your time if you're busy. The deen is clear and simple my beautiful brother. From what I have seen from the SPUBS TEACHERS (not the average attendees of the masjid) is harshness, making the deen enclosed. Etc. May Allah make it easy for you. I don't want to spoonfeed you an answer. But InShaaAllah this helps you make up your own mind and heart without thinking I've forced you. BarakallahuFeek (Also Sheikh/Ustadh Abu Usamah is affiliated with green lane masjid but he's mainly in Liverpool to spread the dawah there. There are other scholars and teachers that are at the Masjid such as Sheikh Ahsan Hanif who is a regular imam there). Also remember, the deen is not constricted to individuals. The deen is beautiful and clear.

They have the biggest bellies, the most lying tongues, and they are the most cowardly when they meet the enemy.” Another man said, “You are lying and you are a hypocrite. I will surely report [what you said] to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).” He reported it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then Quran was revealed. Abd-Allah Ibn Umar said: “I saw him (that man) hanging on the saddle of the camel of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and galloping over the stones, and he [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)] said (interpretation of the meaning): “Was your mockery of Allah and His Ayat (proofs, indications, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger? Do not try to make excuses. You disbelieved after you believed. If We forgive a party of you, then (We) punish the other party because they were mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals).” [At-Tauba 9:65-66 Do you not fear Allah that you fall into this category? What do you have to show for yourself?

Ask Abu Khadeejah what did he study in Nahw, Sarf, Balagha (with its 3 subjects of Badee, Ma'ani and Bayaan), Adab al-Arabi/Nathr and Sh'iar, Uloomul Hadeeth, Usoolul Fiqh, Qawa'id Fiqhiyyah, Maqaasid Sharee'ah, Tajweed, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Seerah, Adyaan wal Fiqaq wal Madhaahib al-Mu'aasirah. Just the beginner-level books of any Islamic University Curriculum, they study these over 3 years or 6 years part-time or sit with scholars to study these with scholars in a traditional way, has he done it? Its the way of the Salaf to put people at their levels, until a person studies at least a book in each of these subjects with scholars then they are a Layman/Novice/ Beginner. Beside the fact I always doubted abu khadeejah’s knowledge and I don’t tKe knowledge from him because his Arabic is not even good and I ask Allaah to give us knowledge and make us understand his deen.... this is not the way you refute someone, walahi very childish Allaahul musta’aan you need to fear Allaah and be a good example. He said (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace), “Do not differ [in the row], lest your hearts differ!” So the Muslims must pay attention to this matter. This separation is only temporary, after which they will return back to what Allah, the Exalted and Most High, has legislated about the rows (i.e. the base rule of coming together closely). Following this order where the Sheik commanded Muslims leave what Allah legislated & "temporarily"follow his guidance by disobeying Allah and placing 6ft gaps in Allah's prayer line to protect them from a virus with an over 90% survival rate where must who succumb to it are elderly or suffering from other serious illnesses. Studying under a scholar gives the degree. For example you can read millions of medical books but you will not be considered a doctor. A student who studies 10-15 medical books and pass the exam is doctor ok
Knowledge is not to be repeated like a parrot reading all the books one can gain access to. But it is to be applied then it is knowledge. A doctor reading all the books and not practising his studies on patients cannot be considered a doctor but an advisor.

*Ibn Qudamah mentions in Al Mughni that if a man rebels against his leader and defeats him and prevails over the people by the sword, until they submit to him and obey him and swear alegiance to him then he becomes a ruler.*
*Then he give example that Abdul Maalik bin Marwan rebelled agains Ibn Zubayr and killed him and he took control of the land and its people until they swore alegiance to him willingly or unwillingly.*

I'm really sure there will be and there are many sincere brothers who associate to Wright street/spubs, I am good friends with a few myself, but I'd recommend to stick with a masjid. I attend GLM occasionally but otherwise my local masjid. Attend for salah regularly. Ask Allah swt for sincere guidance. Truly He will guide you. I went through a decision similar to yours. Ask sincerely. Study your deen, start slow, start with Qur'an, accompany it with some basic aqeedah such as usool ul thalatha, start 40 ahadith imam nawawi. Take your time if you're busy. The deen is clear and simple my beautiful brother.
From what I have seen from the SPUBS TEACHERS (not the average attendees of the masjid) is harshness, making the deen enclosed. Etc.

Abd-Allah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that during the Battle of Tabuk a man said, “I have never seen anything like our Quran readers. Abd-Allah Ibn Umar said: “I saw him (that man) hanging on the saddle of the camel of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and galloping over the stones, and he [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)] said (interpretation of the meaning): “Was your mockery of Allah and His Ayat (proofs, indications, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger? Do not try to make excuses. You disbelieved after you believed. If We forgive a party of you, then (We) punish the other party because they were mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals).” [At-Tauba 9:65-66

Ask Abu Khadeejah what did he study in Nahw, Sarf, Balagha (with its 3 subjects of Badee, Ma'ani and Bayaan), Adab al-Arabi/Nathr and Sh'iar, Uloomul Hadeeth, Usoolul Fiqh, Qawa'id Fiqhiyyah, Maqaasid Sharee'ah, Tajweed, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Seerah, Adyaan wal Fiqaq wal Madhaahib al-Mu'aasirah. Just the beginner-level books of any Islamic University Curriculum, they study these over 3 years or 6 years part-time or sit with scholars to study these with scholars in a traditional way, has he done it? Its the way of the Salaf to put people at their levels, until a person studies at least a book in each of these subjects with scholars then they are a Layman/Novice/ Beginner. If we don't understand this then it will mislead us and make us very thick and low level in our understanding of our Deen!!! Wake up plzzzz JZKL
