    *As-salamu alaykum brothers and sisters*
If you are new here and you’re not understanding all the technicalities about Khurooj, I highly recommend that you start watching the video from 14:46 until the end.
Shamsi’s double standards and Hadith distortions will speak for themselves. Once you watch these, you will understand the types of individuals being dealt with and why Bro Hajji is out to stop them.

Their “Salafi” balloon is leaking when it comes to Khurooj. Each time one side tries to patch it up, the other leak starts gushing. 😂
ARH and Co claim that the companions never did Khurooj.
*Plot Hole:* major classical scholars, narrators, and historians are all confirming that the companions did Khurooj.
Shamsi and Co try to avoid that plot hole - so they concede that the companions did Khurooj but they say that it was a mistake due to their ignorance of the Hadiths.
*Plot Hole:* the companions learned directly from the Prophet - they couldn’t have made such a “creedal” error.
ARH and Co try to avoid that plot hole by conceding that the companions couldn’t have made such mistake and claiming that Khurooj never happened.

It is true that some among the early Salaf rose-up against the tyranny of some of the rulers. However, this was before the ijmā’ (agreement by consensus) was established. In the beginning, when the fitnah began, there was some misunderstanding among a small number of the virtuous Sahābah and some of the Tābi’een. However, a large number from the Sahābah and the Imāms of the Tābi’een returned to the sayings of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for decisive guidance. And it was this guidance that won the day in the end, and from it, a consensus (ijmā’) was achieved.

Ibn Abī ‘Āsim reported in As-Sunnah (2/508) from ‘Adiyy Ibn Hātim (may Allah be pleased with him) that we said: “O Messenger of Allah, we do not ask you regarding obedience to the ruler who has taqwā (pious and fears Allah), who is good and rectifies. Rather, we are asking about the ruler who does such-and-such and such-and-such?“ And he mentioned their evil traits. So the Prophet (ﷺ) answered: “Fear Allah, listen to the ruler and obey him!” (Also reported by At-Tabarāni in Al-Kabīr, 17/101, and authenticated by Al-Albāni in Dhilāl Al-Jannah)

So, after the time of the Tābi’een (who are the successors of the Sahābah), the ijmā’ was settled upon based upon the textual proofs. This ijmā’ was recorded in the books of Creed, Methodology and Fundamentals such as the writings of Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Al-Bukhāri, Al-Lālikā’ee, As-Sābooni, Al-Khallāl, Ibn Battah, Abu Dawood, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mājah, Al-Barbahāri, Al-Ājurri, Al-Muzani, Ibn Abi Dawood As-Sijistāni, Ibn Abi ‘Āsim and countless others.

And Imām An-Nawawi (died 676H) cited an ijmā’ (consensus) concerning this matter:
“As for rebellion (khurooj) against them and fighting them, then that is harām (prohibited) by ijmā’ (consensus) of the Muslims, even if the rulers are sinners and oppressors. The ahādeeth I have already mentioned that carry that meaning are apparent and manifest - and Ahlus-Sunnah have agreed (ijmā’) that a ruler is not to be removed due to his sin. As for the position stated in the books of fiqh that some of our colleagues hold, that he is to be removed; and what is cited from Mu’tazilah then the one who says it is wrong and he is an opposer of the ijmā’. And the Scholars have stated: ‘The reason why it is forbidden to remove the ruler and it is prohibited to rebel against him is because of the fact that it leads to fitan (tribulations), the spilling of blood, discord and corruption between the people. And the corruption that arrises in removing him is greater than him remaining in place.” (See Sharhun-Nawawi ‘ala Sahīh Muslim, 12/317)

Instead of arguing, let’s get to the root cause of our disagreement.
This whole matter of Khurooj is a fiqh issue from our paradigm.
We understand the wisdom behind why the Prophet (saw) said those statements. Fiqh is about understanding *WHY* the statements were said and extracting benefits from it.
If there’s a situation with an unjust Muslim ruler that does not cause the greater harm which the Prophet (saw) was against, the Muslims can go ahead and rebel if it’s in their best interest.
      ---
But from your paradigm, the matter of Khurooj is an issue of aqeeda.
And when we look at aqeeda, we focus more on *WHAT* was said and making sure that we believe in it and following exactly what was said to the best of our abilities.
From your aqeeda paradigm, the situation of the Muslims does not matter - they have to follow exactly what it says in the Hadith.
I understand where you’re coming from and why quoting these Hadiths are seen as the biggest evidences on your side.

*I think it’s very clear who the distorter is.*
But I’m loving the mindset. When in doubt, hold tightly to the book of Allah and the Salah.
      *To simplify this whole thing:*
We agree on the foundations of the deen but extreme “Salafis” are promoting a politically motivated methodology (in support of the Saudi Kingdom) under the guise of teaching deen (by twisting and distorting Qur’an, Sunnah, and Scholarly Works as you see here).
They teach things like: All people who don’t agree with us are misguided - avoid them, do not rebel or protest against the rulers no matter what they do to you, and avoid logic (i.e. philosophy) because that is bid’ah.
They use Islam to support such ideas but it’s all in service of the Kingdom. Many of them don’t even know, they just preach the deen in this way because they believe it’s correct.
But apart from that extremism. We’re pretty much in agreement.

21:17 juxtapose this Hadith with this
Ali sent a piece of gold to the Prophet (ﷺ) who distributed it among four persons: Al-Aqra' bin H`Abis Al-Hanzali from the tribe of Mujashi, 'Uyaina bin Badr Al-Fazari, Zaid at-Ta'i who belonged to (the tribe of) Bani Nahban, and 'Alqama bin Ulatha Al-`Amir who belonged to (the tribe of) Bani Kilab. So the Quraish and the Ansar became angry and said, "He (i.e. the Prophet, ) gives the *chief of Najd* and does not give us." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I give them) so as to attract their hearts (to Islam)." Then a man with sunken eyes, prominent checks, a raised forehead, a thick beard and a shaven head, came (in front of the Prophet (ﷺ) ) and said, "Be afraid of Allah, O Muhammad!" The Prophet (ﷺ) ' said "Who would obey Allah if I disobeyed Him? (Is it fair that) Allah has trusted all the people of the earth to me while, you do not trust me?" Somebody who, I think was Khalid bin Al-Walid, requested the Prophet (ﷺ) to let him chop that man's head off, but he prevented him. When the man left, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Among the off-spring of this man will be some who *will recite the Qur'an but the Qur'an will not reach beyond their throats (i.e. they will recite like parrots and will not understand it nor act on it), and they will renegade from the religion as an arrow goes through the game's body. They will kill the Muslims but will not disturb the idolaters. If I should live up to their time' I will kill them as the people of 'Ad were killed (i.e. I will kill all of them)."*
    Bukhari 3344
This is talking about chiefs of Najd as clearly mentioned in the Hadith (modern day Saudi "khwarij")

Learn Islam and when you’ve learnt it, do not turn away from it. And follow the Straight path, for that is Islam. Do not deviate to the right or to the left of the Straight Path. Upon you is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, just as the people [Ṣaḥābah] were upon, before the killing of their Ṣaḥābah [i.e. ʿUthmān] and what they did after that [i]. For indeed we had read the Qurʾān 15 years before the Ṣaḥābah were killed and before what these people did after that. So, I warn you from these desires that sow the seeds of enmity and hatred amongst you.”
    - [Imām Muḥammad b. Naṣr al-Marūdhī, al-Sunnah, 68-69 no.18. Khalid b. ʿUthmān said, it is Ṣaḥīḥ Maqtuʿa, [meaning that it is authentic but the type of report is Maqtuʿa i.e. from a Tabʿī]. He references it to al-Maʿmar, al-Jāmʿi 11:367; LālikāʿI, Iʿtiqād Ahl al-Sunnah no.17; Abū Nuʿaym, al-Ḥilyah 2:218; al-ʿAjurrī, al-Sharīʿah no.19, 21 and Ibn Baṭṭah al-Ibānah 1:96. On the other hand you have haji literally showing the reference and full reference at that so at the very least you can't deny he is missing something out, misquoting leading to misinterpretation. Repeats multiple times that he considers himself a layman, yet he is the Ahlul biddah?
