    Dude, bad buzzed heads unite. I shaved mine a bit ago and it's just not a good look for me. Plus my wife is a hair stylist and always comments on my huge occipital bone.

      It was such a bummer to find out my skull isn’t made for buzzed hair. Thats why god gave me luscious hair so I wouldn’t be tempted to in the first place. Ive learned my lesson.

As someone who has a deep seeded fear of developing cancer and putting my loved ones through it- give yourself the grace and patience that someone going through your situation deserves. Guilt comes with the territory (on both sides). Good luck to you!

    I've always been into photography outside of this (you can see my photo of St. Pauls in London as my profile image), but it was the cancer that for some reason the algorithm brought me to your channel.
    Just want to say hi from 🇬🇧 - we're all rooting for you. You're dealing with this far better than I would.
    I'm not gonna be one of those people to say 'You will beat this' - because cancer is not a war, pass or fail. It just is.
    Just know that people care about what happens to you, stranger, take that as a hug from across the world.
    Finally I want to say I absolutely LOVE the way you have composed this video, the shots are beautiful and moving.

    Great news about the brain tumors!
    Steroids are such a pain. As someone who spent nearly a full year on them with the moon face effect for the majority of that time, I feel with you. It's true though, it does get better again afterwards.
    Serious illness is life changing, but at least, it also reveals who your real friends are. Seems to me like you're blessed with many real friends and won't find yourself alone by the time remission kicks in (unlike some of us).
    Anyway, still cheering you on from a far as it's the only thing I can do.
    Keep fighting the good fight!

    I mean, I keep my fingers crossed for you from the beginning, but the vibe of "the cancer is personal for me, I wanna keep it close to the chest", but also "if you pay, I'm gonna tell you all about it" kinda itches. Other than the sound of it, it is actually understandable.

    • @ThePhotoDept
      @ThePhotoDept  Месяц назад +7

      I tried to be really clear about it, basically going forward, I want to keep more personal stuff off of RUclips and focus more on photography. If you’re really invested in the cancer journey and want to see the more personal stuff, it isn’t unreasonable to put it behind a modest paywall. In the first hand it deters the conspiracy theory loving, hateful, online trolls from engaging. Check my cancer announcement video to see what I mean. On the other hand, if you really want a peek into my personal life that bad, $4 isn’t going to bankrupt you. It seems fair to me. Hope you have a good weekend.

      Because of the video where I announce I have cancer. And the video where I show myself going to get gamma knife radiation on my brain tumors. I show nurses and doctors preparing a face mask for me to be put into the gamma knife machine. I talk about my medications and the specific type of cancer I have. What more do you want? You want to see my personal and confidential medical charts? You wanna come to my chemo infusions with me and taste the chemo drugs to verify that it is in fact chemo and not Dr Pepper or root beer? Do you want my doctor to give you a call and verify that my diagnosis is real? Do you want me to upload a video highlighting all of my symptoms and side effects, and show you my suffering in real time? Or, here’s an idea: you can be a real human with empathy and a good heart and you can believe someone when they tell you that they are suffering from stage 4 lung cancer instead of being a cynical sheep following all of the conspiracy theorists.
