- This is the 2nd Video in the Series MEET THE EXPERTS, where I've managed to get you guys my friend Dani the STEADICAM Operator so that he demonstrates BASIC steadicam MOVES & share with you guys some knowledge of this crucial filmmaking craft.
Steadicam operators are the film ninja's of the filmmaking industry, and they are the people responsible for all those cool ONE SHOTS & long sequence shots you see in movies.
Their expertise makes it easier for director's like me to have the flexibility of choosing creative movements and shots to tell our stories!

Thank you! Lovely to hear that from a Steadicam Op! 😁
I like this new “Subject Matter Experts” glimpse👌🏻👍🏻
Thank you! Lots more to come with different experts in the industry! 😘
Film ninja!! Next time I want to see him running
Hahaha no space to run! And its a 100 degrees outside 😂
HI, great video! What is that semi circular piece of metal at the bottom of the camera? Is that a tilting head? I would have thought that it would go in the other direction fore and aft. Do you know of a tilting head that you recommend to keep head room? THanks again, J.
Thank you for letting me know about 'Don Juan' mode! Interesting name as well
Really interesting stuff 🙌🏻
👊🏼 you’ll get to see it on set soon!
Awesome.... I have so many questions
Cool🎥
Thank you!
One important thing working with these rigs is to be fit and have breaks as it is very demanding on your back.
Agreed! I personally experience a similar thing when I use ready rigs & Ronins, after a while it gets tiring specifically on the lower back 😅
awesooome :))
Thanks for the support! 🙏🏼
Ive always been curious when it comes to the "back pain" complaint. I have personally experienced that the butt and hamstrings have a HUGE effect on back comfort. Weak glutes and inactive/tight hamstrings require the use of your back to compensate for uncontrolled hip position.
I'm not implying you are not physically fit, I just dont have problems anymore (including standing for hours at a time with shoes that have no arch support) when I did a complete overhaul starting at foot posture (fixed flat feet) then working my way up to my legs and abs.
Thoughts?
Hey Stuart 👋🏻
Agreed! You can definitely notice the difference when you target strengthening those specific muscles, I noticed the difference going back to the gym even without purposefully training those specific muscles.
very nice
Thank you! Was fun to shoot 😆
