  • Utilizing Geomagic Wrap Software on 3D scan data. Small sofa was scanned with the Artec Eva 3D scanner, taken into Geomagic Wrap to clean and heal mesh data, create surfaced CAD data, take measurements, volume calculation, center of gravity, surface area and even take cross section measurements.

    Very useful video. May I ask that in 2D Dimentions, can I measure the area of the cross section I have created? Because I do not know in Compute Area, when you choose cross-sectional area, whether the results represent the surface area on one side of the cross section.

      Yes, absolutely. You can take measurements between points or you can take measurements between. Geomagic has multiple ways to take measurements.

    How to export cross section to Inventor

      Yes you can export DXF into Inventor. You can also export other files like STL, IGES, STEP, OBJ, Etc.
