Absolutely agree, tbh the player models are very lazy. Really flat and bland textures, it's hard to beleive they would get so lazy when the rest of the game is so nice.
Hopefully its just because its the early build of the game. I dont even mind the look of the swing of the character model but the character model does need work. Maybe customization with clothes and accessories will help?

I have one question os the weather random? If not why? I dont understand they can make things in golf games look so great but cant make random weather happen. Even if you could turn it on and off for those who dont care about it. It would offer another challenge. You could have rain, wind, cold even affect the distance the ball travels. Can you buy rain gear for your golfer?
Hi Apex - I think it would be better to get rid of the power bar altogether for all shots. We didnt have it on 2019, so you shouldnt really miss it - obviously making partial shots is going to be more difficult. Plus as you say its a distraction. Thanks heaps for the great coverage. Cheers Doug
Also i don’t know if you did the calibration right or not. I don’t know how it works, but if it just calibrates based on your tempo, you must’ve been calibrating it while trying to slow your tempo down from what it is naturally so it’s still detecting your natural tempo as fast. Do the calibration again but don’t try to slow it down at all, do it how you would normally do it. Again I have no idea how it works or if it makes you try and do it close to it’s recommended tempo or not but if not you must’ve calibrated without your natural tempo

Honestly the graphics on this game are embarrassingly bad when compared with other 2k games even ones from just a couple years ago look wildly more realistic than this. I was so looking forward to this game but after seeing this unless they step the graphic quality up significantly I feel like this is going to bomb. This game straight up looks like a game from 2016 or older. With todays technology near photo realism is easily possible.
I plan on doing 1 round tourneys. I hope when I go through a tournament a second time that the pin location is different. Don't wanna be stuck on the same pin location if I only do 1 round

Can you go back to the old method of using the analog to swing and putt or this new version? Because I'm afraid most gamers aren't going to like it and find it too hard.....will just go back to Rory's game. However, it does seem easier to use for putting which is already better than 2019.
It's a much smaller studio than the studios that make the mainline 2k games. I wish they were at least a bit better though. Maybe 2k picking up a golf game will encourage more development investment in future iterations though. Hopefully anyways
Hey just an idea but could you play with your OBS and maybe make it slightly transparent during the shot and leaderboard sections. also after the game you could move the positioning to the top mid or somewhere less obtrusive. It is fun. Its feels like we are learning along with you. Hell! I even cringe and cheer for the putts! haha keep it up

Looks like the same animations via character in all parts of the game as previous. Where is the new celly's they talked about? Appears to be non. The same backside celly's from previous years.
Whats your real life handicap? If you can carry a 5 iron 200 yards you're above PGA Tour average (though granted most Tour players are playing fairly short distance clubs)

Yeah man that par putt on the 4th hole showed literally zero break, and definitely didn’t show any to the left. Not only that, but the line that was past the hole showed it breaking to the right after the hole so even if you wanted to say the hole fell in between 2 lines and the further one might’ve had an effect on it, it went right not left, and you stroke didn’t seem like you pulled it at all so i don’t know how the hell that broke that much. Seemed a bit like a bug or something idk
I think Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the PSP did it better. Also I feel as though the sand isn’t nearly as punishing as it should be, it looked like it was almost impossible not to go up and down from that green side bunker on 2.

READ THIS: if you play a slight fade with driver, when you hit it fast it will level out and go straight. Hope that helps

I think the biggest issue with hitting fast/slow is using an older controller. Analog stick sensors can get worn out.

The pin location usually changes by round. If you only do one, you'll probably just get the Sunday pin location.

They need to make the 3 wood distance higher like 240-245 yards and not 227 yards.
