I can't express how much I appreciate this step by step tutorial. I was able to set up our konica machine for scan to email very easily following your video. I was further able to get all techy with our DSX phone system (2011 era) and get our voicemail forward to emails back up and working properly. The valuable information regarding the third party connections in our google account was the piece that had been missing. Even the technician that installed our system years ago came out almost a year ago wasn't able to get it working. Today I was determined to get my geeky techy juices flowing and viola.... it is now working properly! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

I remember the last time it tried it didn't work, could be due to my Sketchy Google account back then, will try again tomorrow and see if it works since this is a new account. It should since my C224 is running the latest software version 7. The only thing I miss is that Kyocera gives you a little "test" button on their web interface, sad it's not on Konica's, would be useful.

On my account it says that setting for app Passwords is no longer available
not sure. never seen that message before.
what type of gmail account do you have? Personal or organization? if organization try using a personal. You'll only be using the out going feature of it. no big deal.
Yep...there is no "App Passwords" option as of July 2024?
so my wife destroyed my computer that had the ability to connect to our old office server.. well thanks to you.. i can throw the server away and that old piece of junk away. Who needs a hard drive!

set up our bizhubs with this info--thanks! we also have an accuriopress c3080--running into issues there however with these steps. any suggestions?
not sure. Most accuriopress owners don't use this type of machine for scanning to email and i personally never set one up either.....firmware related is my first guess.
hey do you know how email rx work? I would like to send an email to the printer to print them out.
most people just open the emails and print the ones they want just like printing any regular job.
This worked great. One question. The email received has a subject as "Message from ......" and has the name of the printer along with a company name. Where can I update this default email subject line?
the email has to show the name of the email its coming from. that is why you should designate a email address that can be used for everyone who receives it.
@@PrestigeOfficeSolutions of course, the email address is not the question. The email received has the address expected, but also a generic subject line. I was wondering if the subject line can be customized.
@@PCsetupHelps look under System Settings and try changing the admin name. keep the working email the same
@@PCsetupHelps Hey, you can likely change the subject and text under the "store address" tab
to do this
1. log into the web console
2. open the "store address" tab
3. click on edit next to any email adress in the adress book
4.select subject and edit the first entry confirm by pressing OK
5. Repeat for text
for the device name and registration that can be changed under System settings > Machine Setting
Do you know how to bulk import email addresses? Konica says to use the LDAP but we can't use that as the end-users say "it's too many buttons"

does this work the same method for an outlook account instead of gmail?
same set up as far as the konica web page but you need to make sure which port outlook uses as well as security settings. I find gmail being the most solid of them all. good luck
Thanks for the great video! I still have an error message "Forward TX error". Any idea what this could be? Could it be an network issue or an authentication issue? (Konica Minolta BizHub C284)
most likely the firmware. its an old machine and I'm not sure they are making anymore firmware updates avail and also not sure the last firmware update made will fix the issue. Regardless, you will need to have a authorized Konica Minolta service provider come out and update the firmware.

Got it to work with my personal gmail credentials. The corporate gmail credentials didn't work. Also I set it to use SMTP over SSL. TLS simply didn't work.
at this point it can be hundreds of different reasons....i would need to be hands on to troubleshoot. sorry!
not sure why the corp didn't work. you may need to set it up the old fashion way with a corp account which is using your email address and password for authentication.....don't know for sure
Good day Sir. Please i have been trying so so hard to use my scan to email. I followed all the guidelines you mentioned in the video but not yet working. I used the two different port number 587 and 465 but It keeps giving me Error Deletion in my Job History. Is there something else i need to do? I await your reply. Thank you sir.
at this point it can be many different reasons why its not working from copier firmware, firewalls, and the list goes on......i suggest contacting a IT tech to come out onsite to further troubleshoot. i recommend starting with an authorized KM dealer this way if its firmware related they can proceed with update.
@@PrestigeOfficeSolutions Okay thank you Sir. I will do as you say. My challenge is that reputable and sincere Konica Engineers are scarce in my country (Nigeria) but I hope to get a solution to this one day because I so much love the scan to Email feature. It saves time, big time.

Most likely because your firmware isn't allowing it. Updated to the latest firmware and try again. I know to stop making firmware a while ago so I'm not sure if you have the latest or not. If you do have the latest from work, it's time to jump on our website and look for a replacement machine
I cant type password. Checkbox and input are not available
not sure why its missing on your machine. First thought that comes to mind is updating the firmware on your machine. Unless you have access to the firmware you will need to have a authorized dealer do that for you
The first step is to enable MFA on Google. Doing this sends a SMS Text Message that allows you to authenticate. The steps in the copier work perfected and it worked. My question is how do you deal with Google's MFA since a copier can't manage that? Thanks!
