    One thing I will add, when using Gmail you need to go into gmail settings and allow for “less secure apps to access”. I followed the video and was still having an error on the machine. Once I changed that setting it worked flawlessly! Great video and very informative!

      Yes that is correct but beware, google is requiring 2 step verification when using anything google related and as soon as you turn on 2 step it automatically turns off less secure app and takes away that option to select off unless you turn 2 step verification back off......FYI

    I think Konica minolta needs to put a test button inside the configuration, so it makes it easier to test to see if there is an error in the configuration and not have to walk to the copier.
    Now I have a Konica minolta with two problems the first one says that "The usb device is invalid" but there is no usb device.
    The second problem is the following: at the time of entering the data (I checked everything was correct and if I put username and password in google it allows me to access, I also enabled access to less secure applications within the gmail account settings) but it still gives scan error

    Hi Everyone. So I had an entire office lose scan-to-email access and tried EVERYTHING to fix my Bizhub C458 scan to email, using gmail smtp or our own company's public smtp. I would either get an error 530 or error 107. I checked all the settings and emails addresses that this gentleman had spoken of, but it still didn't work - I was constantly receiving error 530 when scanning to email. Then I decided to change the password to the Associated Gmail account and programmed the new password into the printer and BOOM - it worked!
    Sometimes the easiest solution is the hardest one to see

    Hello, will these same settings help on a bizhub 958? Trying to set up a dynamic scan process and hopefully these will get me there. Great video!

      should be very similar. the process is the same but maybe the 958 may have a different page look once you log in. just try to navigate to that same section and the rest will flow the same.

    I am receiving a server error when I attempt to scan. I had used your tutorial before and it worked beautifully. I am seeing error delation server connection error. Any thoughts? Thank you for your time

      impossible for me to know what is causing that without me troubleshooting first hand. The causes are endless... just keep troubleshooting as much as you can. worse case contact konica minolta authorize dealer for further assistance.

    Thank you for this video. I did everything you did, but have a yahoo email. i googled to get the SMTP server address and filled it in, when I tried to scan it keeps giving me this error - (job list ) (Error deletion ) Error . can you help?

    Hoping you can help. We have a similar machine. All the settings you went through are similar to ours. We can scan to email just fine, however the email received has an email attached to it with the PDF attached to that email. In other words, the email itself DOES NOT HAVE the PDF as the attachment. Is there a setting somewhere for email attachment settings?

      You have an older model with older firmware. There might be a special firmware available to enable scan to email with Gmail. You will need to have an authorize dealer install that for you.

      many reasons can be the cause....too many to list. Can be issues with firmware, firewall, router, computer, and the list goes on and on.....this is when troubleshooting begins and it can become easy or very difficult. might be best to contact a local konica minolta service provider for assistnace if you can't find issue

      yes if you scan to the dropbox folder in your pc which is linked to your dropbox account

    I changed the password for our main scanner email address. I went in and changed it under settings, but our scanner still isn't working. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

    I know this is old, but how do you change the "from" text? I just get "Message from KM_C4050i" when I get the email sent to use.

      log on to the web interface and look for the nam KM C4050i and see if you can change it. might be under system settings tab

    KONICA MINOLTA C450i - Can anyone explain how to send email without going through the user ID. I would like to use the user ID just for printing.

      You can't. Either keep it on or turn it all off

      @@PrestigeOfficeSolutions On our old Xerox printer we only had a user ID for printing because that was accounted for. All my colleagues and management want the user ID to be used only in prints but our technician doesn't know how to change the settings. Thanks for the information.

      it all depends on the age of your machine. older models don't have that feature avail.

      every failure is associated with an error code from the job history log. Lookup that error code for your model of printer to get an idea of what may be happening.
