    In my community I got along great with the Anglicans, largely because we were all way too old to play tennis! I love these episodes!

    Great show; subtle stories and wit! Leaves you with (pleasant) questions that you have to answer for yourself; the 'father' would not help!

    I wish there were more seasons, two does not seem enough. It's a lovely show.

      Well, look at Fawlty Towers. That only ran to two series, but look at it's quality and popularity. And, like Bless Me, Father it was made in the heyday of great British telly.

      Bless me, Father has 3 seasons. Whether or not the 3rd season is available on RUclips is a different question.

    are the tennis rackets quite right for the period because in all creatures great and small same era different rackets

      James Herriot is set from the 1930s, through to the 50s. This one starts in the 50s, so maybe racquets had changed in those 20 years

    The father is so interesting. Its not too bad, but not so funny.
