AT 3:25 I noticed you didn't have markers on the top of your marker towers.
Two small markers works well with your tower design.
I've found that the more the merrier especially when it comes to higher off of the bed.
Thank you again for sharing your designs for the marker towers.
I have resin printed four of them, and they have been instrumental to my accurate scans to date.
    Love your content!
I'm so glad to see you come up with new 3D scan projects.
Please keep up the amazing work!

You could always scan the different stages of the cake build.
I'm pretty sure the dedicated cake channels have not came up with that trickiness yet.
Defiantly worth your better half investing in.
Make her content a grade above other cake channels.

It would of been nice if you moved the light in the preview to match the real world light angle.
Maybe consider creating a HDRI light map to link the software to, that way it's close to bang on for every comparison moving forward.
    Constructive criticism.
    Love ya work!!!!

There's a software that I've tried to use for painting texture called "Adobe Substance" so easy to use and it looks so real, imagine you can scan and change the object colors/material and no one would know that it's a rendered image. It costs about 100 USD selling on Steam.

For scanning people portraits, which scanner would you recommend?
Otter or raptor? Or even ferret?

@Payo my wife got me Otter last weekfor Xmas, I had some free time and tried to scan a few things (almost all are small, black, untextured) and was watching many of your viseos. I panicked and bought the Raptor based on your reviews of its superior dimensional accuracy, it arrived today. Tried scanning same objects. Still not much success, not unexpected as I need to learn how to use these both better. Im contemplating sending one or both back, or keeping both. I see you use otter and raptor in many projects. What I have not been able to find is a summarized list of when yo use one and not the other for specific scan projects, I know you mentioned in one case you did marker scan in project with otter then detail scan with Raptor. I was wondering if you could summarize use cases for one vs the other vs when to use both. Or make a short video on it as it would really help accelerate my learning on what to use and when, right now Ive got details from 10-15 of your videos and its hard to keep it all straight. Thx for the great work!

Otter's good for scanning organic shape object, it can be scanned without markers. If I'm not making part fitting, I'll pull out Otter for scanning first. In the case of inorganic shape, which mostly contains flat plane, or repeat pattern, symetry objects. I'll use Raptor for scanning because it tracks with markers much better than the Otter. For part fitting and reversing in CAD, I'd only use Raptor. I'll make basic tutorial videos as some audiences requested. I'll put answers to your question in there as well.

I have to say "I was a bit flabbergasted you didn't use at least four tall marker towers.
I know they would block viewing angles, especially from the furthest distance, but worth it when you scan close.
    Constructive criticism.

Otter is great for quick scan without marker. If you need higher accuracy, you may want to try Raptor.

Yo is that global marking scan a thing exclusive to raptor? First time I see this feature.
This Cake looks so cute and tasty!

Currently, Global Marker function is only available for Raptor original and Raptor X. It makes scanning much smoother, no hiccup or stuttering during point cloud scanning.
