I had the L48 350 (300hp/380 torque) on my Caprice 2dr HT Custom Coupe and with the 2.73 gears, was a blast to drive. Somewhat of a Sleeper, I'd say.

Do you know that a 200r4 will bolt right in where that th350 is? Just move the crossmember back about 3-4".
Did it to my old '72 Monte. Nice 1st gear (2.78) to get that heavy car moving, and NO computer!
That way you can put a 3.73 posi, and some G-60's and she'll really get up and move.

whats the difference between the 200r4 and 700r4? Overdrive would be nice. I have another 12 bolt housing and the 3.73s, just gotta get a carrier.

Dude that sucks, they're still out there, just be ready! This one's gonna stay in my possession for the foreseeable future though haha. Which wires did you use to connect your radio, man.?

speaker wires are all new, power wire is a new wire connected to one of the extra accessory tabs on the fuse block, with an inline fuse installed.
