A better way to look at American soldiers is they are professional soldiers. They train hard because they have a good chance they will be sent into battle somewhere around the world. It's their profession. Yes

hey there! I really enjoyed your video!
Just wanted to clarify something you guys saw in the video! The first guy's "scarf" is called a du-rag, a silk covering that is common for Black men to wear at night to protect their hair while sleeping. Durags can be worn to accelerate the development of curly/kinky hairstyles like waves or locs. They maintain natural oils needed to keep hair healthy and to also protect wave patterns in the hair from shifting while one sleeps. Durags were introduced in the 1930s, but in the 1960s and '70s they became popular fashion statements among Black Americans during the Black Pride Movement. Then, in the 90s and 2000s they became more popular through rappers wearing them frequently either in music videos or just out and about during everyday life.
While the durag seems really stylish and you may want to try it, I would advise you not to. Black Americans are often told that wearing things like durags makes us look "unprofessional" or gives us a "thug" image. Even though it may seem like it's just a hair covering, we can be at the risk of scrutiny from people who dislike it. For that reason, a non-Black person wearing it for fun is considered rude and inappropriate to Black Americans like myself. It also wouldn't make sense seeing that a durag wouldn't do anything for your hair besides flattening it in a way that you may not find pleasant.
    Thanks!

It has been several years since I finished my time in the Army but, unless the rules have changed in the past few years, you are not allowed to walk and be on your phone or be recording like that and definitely not when running in formation (unless you have special permission from the commander or 1SG). Also it is against regulations to use your current military service for a secondary income. It is possible that the rules have changed and maybe my information is no longer right. However I don't think they are allowed to post videos of that much of their operations and area. It is a violation of operational security (OPSEC)

These vlogs are propaganda films to give military life a good look, that’s why they are allowed to do it. They are part of PR for the military to try to get people to join, just big commercials. They aren’t featuring anything real/difficult/bad in their videos or they’d lose their ability to film and post this content.
