Actually, all the soldiers, and some police, get tasered before they're allowed to carry them. It's so they understand how it feels when they use it on another person. This hopefully forces them to rethink using it in situations that perhaps do not need it.
Also to dispel any notions of having stunned the target for any amount of time. Sure you're hurting and sore as hell afterwards, but you can usually get back up almost right away. Some well trained guys might not even go down at all.
@@KyrainMcLeod I was the didn't go down. Nothing really special about me just a matter of body chemistry I guess. The Training and get shocked is so you have a realistic expectation of what will happen instead of something out of the movies or TV.

i took a 4 sec shock for training 1 hour before physical exam i was kind of worried, but in fact 20 sec after the shock it's like nothing happen.
You know, you gotta keep in mind that most people who've joined the military (in America) joined straight out of high school, so you basically have a massive force of high schoolers, and then the leadership. Which may or may not have matured out of their high school phase.
Yea the environment and combination of leadership can make it a recipe for disaster or mitigate it to a manageable baseline. All depends how much restrictions and freedom you give and must be tailored within certain groups (No correct answer as too much or too little have varying results and you have to adjust as necessary, but there are "standards" to implement and follow at the minimum).
That's the same with most militaries though.
absolutely not, all the ncos are high school graduates with no civilian job experience or leadership experience, and all the officer corps are college boys
In the military you have to be able to laugh, because you find yourself in some absolutely ridiculous/terrible situations sometimes. If you can't laugh those off you'll go crazy.
Gotta laugh to keep from crying sometimes generally in life & as a daughter of a USMC vet with PTSD I learned that early. People think my sense of humor is weird sometimes, but it's better than being stuck in my head.
Being able to laugh things off and at yourself also helps in life in general as a regular person too!

I joined the army right as I turned 18, I served for seven years before being discharged due to an injury I sustained in combat. But one of the funniest things I can remember, was we had a night where we were all in our bunks. Our sergeant was in a room right next to us, and we all had our phones and most of us had little speakers. One night we started playing three second clips of loud ass noises. The sergeant kept coming in and yelling at us, and it went on for about 30 minutes of a switching off who is playing the sound. So then one of the guys had a little tiny disco light thing and we started playing an EarRape version of dancing queen . Then the sergeant came in screaming, but everyone was up having a dance party.😂 I’ll tell you every single one of us got ripped a new one that night, but in the end it was worth it.😂😂

I love that the US is supporting South Korea. If there is a country worth protecting and to be an ally with its South Korea. They are beautiful, kind people.

It makes sense, the US & South Korea have a bond much different than any US military ally because SK was created at the end of WW2, divided by only by the 38th parallel from the north. So the US was seen as their liberators them from over 60 years of Japanese occupation, and then again they fought with them to stop NK occupation & communism and stood with them since the end of that war.
Personally, it brings me joy to see South Korea go from an impoverished and war torn nation to one of the most prosperous nations in the world. It's rather amazing to see them already 10th largest GDP in the world, on the verge of overtaking Canada, #9 on the list. Samsung, LG, Hyundai, & Kia among the biggest companies in the world, is mindblowing!

@@cifa9713 I'm guessing that the eye piece(scope) must be super fragile and/or expensive that if you play around with the gun or don't properly handle it you end up breaking it. In this case, because the trainees didn't "scope out" the location during their practice, the one fooling with the gun and scope ending up being the one getting broken.

The one with the machine gun, he's going "oh crap' because he just noticed that when he reassembled that M240 it was missing a small but very crucial piece. The pin that connects the feed tray and feed tray cover to the gun was missing. And now his NCO is coming over to make him regret that revelation.
The rubber chicken training makes them very tough and scary looking.
Especially when lieutenant gives a light squeeze… 😂😂😂
the rubber chicken training is done for those who will become honor guard like you see on memorial parades holding up the flags and those that stand guard at the tomb of the unknown. they get trained like that so they won't get distracted by anything and can keep a straight face while on duty

It's important that soldiers don't become robots. To be serious when needed, but don't forget to be playful and fun when needed. Don't lose yourself.
1:19 they are like family, you might make, tease, prank and joke around with each other but when push comes to shove they are family and have eachothers backs, that is how the US Military is. Each branch thinks theirs is better and call the others names like Army and Marines call the Airforce Chairforce.

ALL American guys act like high school guys! It’s called “arrested development” (and I’m not talking about the TV show)!!! I have a “love-mad” attitude about my husband, bc he’s pretty much Peter Pan at home (except for paying bills) and pretends to be a super responsible adult at work. But still with a sense of humor! When he was a floor nurse (RN, BSN) at the hospital where he works and had to do a night rotation, he would hide under the nurse’s station workspace in semi darkness and jump out to scare his coworkers (mainly women). One night, he almost jumped out but realized in the nick of time that it was a physician (and she had no sense of humor), and he was so scared of being written up that it “cured” him of thinking up “zany madcap hijinks” on the job!

I was never tazed in the army, but I had fun with them when I was in high school. I joined the army, because I wanted to die in combat. I was done with life, so I figured why not? I had some fun while I was in!

I trained with the ROK Marines in Pohang. Did their Mountain Warfare course. Repelling mostly. Great fun and the Korean instructors were intense and awesome.
We later had a feast and some friendly competitive games on their base. One of my beat experiences in the Marines
