It’s 1980s. Think “Totally Minnie.” My first trip to WDW was in 1988, and a cast member gifted me a pinwheel with Mickey Mouse on it, and that’s the exact pose he had, minus the phone.
Seems like 80s artwork with 90s colour palette. The pastels are definitely a 90s thing. The 80s were more wild colours hahah.
@@tdrexplorer late 80s/early 90s shared either a pastel theme, or fluorescent neon colors. An example would be the 60 years of Mickey Mouse logo (sorry Minnie) and the early years of the Disney Store.

That design appeared on merchandise for The Disney Store when they began to open in the late 80s. The first store was in 1987, then from '88 to '92 stores started appearing everywhere.
The stationary from Tokyo Disneyland / Sea gets me, I want it ;3

Oh wow that’s so interesting about the bags! I remember when I went in 2019 a lot of gift stores(even non Disney ones) would give you like a dozen bags with your purchase(which I understand was so when you gift something you wouldn’t be handing someone a tossed around bag). Seems like a lot has changed over the past few years and I’m enjoying watching your channel to keep me in the loop for when I go back in 2 years(I remember reading you blogs for my first trip)!

I'd love to see more t-shirts and hats, please. I saw that for some series, the same prints are available in both adults and kids sizes, and many Japanese families like to get dressed up in the same way when they visit the parks.

I'd say 1990s on that Chris... Just think... 90s had the baggy jammies... 80s was tight clothes... Take a look at Mickey on that one... Love your videos as always... Try to get in for the merch releases closer to when they first come out so the whole line is there to cover. Although I know this can be hard now with all the restrictions... Make sure to cover Duffy's Circle of Friendship and you should also cover Minnies new event... Keep up Chris, lovin your vids.... :)

So I’ve heard that Tokyo Disney doesn’t do ear hat embroidery, but do they typically always have the standard black Mouseketeer ear hats? I want one from every Disney Resort I visit.

What are clear files? The Mickey ears are sequined. I wondered why they sell towels so much, especially letter envelope sized. Now I understand why you need to carry your own towel if public restrooms do not have paper towels. I love watching your videos to see how Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea are different from the US parks.

Are Disney Loungefly bags a thing in Tokyo Disney? I don’t think I ever seen them in your videos? They are so popular in the American parks and Disneyland Paris.
They’re not but the Disney Stores have them but they’re mostly ones available at the US parks.

I don’t think there’s any Oswald merch to my knowledge (if there is it’s minimal) but there’s definitely Chandu! Thank you for the suggestions.

Good idea! There’s an entire store inside Tokyo Disneyland with only Pooh merch beside Hunny Hunt. There’s a jewelry store inside both parks.
I took screenshots of all the Pooh merchandise and sent it to my sister. She is now making a list of what she wants me to bring home 🤔. Do they still sell the giant churros pillow? I will be bringing that home even if I have to carry it lol. I love the 90s style designs, they were super cute.
I’m not sure on the churro. Stuff changes so quickly it’s difficult for me to keep track of individual items. They seem to be making different versions of it so it probably still is around.

They don’t have beach towels that I know of so the bath towels would be the closest.
