The Japanese people are beyond polite. They are considerate, kind, and always think of their fellow man. That's why most areas of Japan are so clean, why they have recycling everywhere, and, apparently, why they sit down at fireworks. 😊 Also, there's likely so much room in that park is that the park imagineers had the good foresight to plan for the immense crowds they would have. Not just from foreign visitors, but from their hugely populated country. ❤️
The 14 minute wait on Pooh's Hunny Hunt is a play on words! In Japanese, The number one (ichi) and four (yon) can be read as i-yon which sounds slightly like "eeyore" when you say it out loud. They also do 82 intead of 80, 8 (hachi) 2 (ni) can be read as ha-ni, or "hunny"! I'm so glad you guys were able to experience TDR, it's such an incredible place!
Ok but when they got the little pressed coin and Jen says "there's our little piglet" I thought of Jackson's piglet halloween costume! Now I'm crying aw.
Disneyland paris' firework show is easily the best one of any disney park, yes even better than happily ever after as you have all the amazing water effects and fire as well
LOVE that everyone sits down for the fireworks. I wonder why Disney doesn't ask people to do this at Magic Kingdom? I'm handicapped and almost impossible for me to get a good view of the projection show and fireworks. MK doesn't even have a handicapped viewing area. I'm definitely going to make plans to go to Tokyo Disney.
Have you been recently to HK? I could have sworn they had a handicapped viewing area. However what they do have now is a fireworks "fastpass" which gets you a little roped off section of the lawn! When I last visited the fastpass area was pretty empty and people were able to spread out of the lawn and sidewalk and sit. I would recommend checking that out next time!
Taylor Feig I thought the areas you mentioned we're for the paid desert parties. I've never seen a fastpass for fireworks listed. I know they have the lawn desert fireworks party and the terrace fireworks desert party.
Oh Jen it's ok to cry. Not going to lie this tangle song during the fireworks gets me every time at Disneyland . It creates memories for me and my kids.
The medallion is a 'memory maker', it interacts with those golden Mickey statues :) They did something similar in DisneySea for it's 15th anniversary a couple of years ago. ^-^
I think I'm annoyed that Tokyo Disneyland has way more characters out during the day and in the parades than I have ever seen at WDW or at Disneyland Paris. I wish they would have some of the rarer ones out more instead of only being seen at special events.
@@cttan6111 yes disneyland Tokyo and Sea have a yearly attendance of around 33 million , but they are smaller tan than the US parks. Like disneyworld had 5 parks and sees 58 million people
Jenn! You cry, I cry! Here's why I love you Jenn. You are so genuine. You appreciate every thing and you have such a kind heart. I cry everytime I am blessed enough to walk into Disney World. I tear up over the simple and small things, because I am just so thankful to be able to experience anything that I know most people are not as lucky to be able to do. I love that these things move you to tears as well, shows how humble and thankful you are as well.
The electrical parade looked absolutely incredible!! I’m so happy you guys got to have this experience! Thank you for sharing your trip with those who may never get the chance to experience it!
I am so glad you guys were able to go to Tokyo Disney. Seeing Jenn get so emotional made me emotional. I love watching your videos everyday. Tim and Jenn you are my favorite RUclipsrs!
Why is everything so much cuter?!?!!?! I love it. And Jenn I could totally understand the tears. I tear up when FOF comes on every time. Even though I’ve seen it 30 times. Hahaha I can’t even imagine the excitement
I absolutely love how English-friendly Tokyo Disneyland is. I want to go at some point and it's good to know that the language barrier won't be an issue for just getting around the park. How did you all order your foods? I've seen people at Disney and Universal here take pictures of the sign or the fake food display to show what they wanted. Did you have to do this here as well or did the staff understand the English name for it?
I just got back from a trip to Tokyo Disney and we had no problem ordering anything. The CMs who work at food locations either speak English or have the English words for the items memorized. If all else fails, there's usually a picture menu right there that you can point to.
Tokyo disney is so amazing! Their rides, merchandise, buildings are way more creative! The merch and everything else is cheaper too! I love watching these videos. I hope they get a chance to go to Hong Kong disneyland.
The Pikachu Brothers Tokyo Disneyland employs face characters from around the world. A lot of the princesses specifically come from Disneyland in CA and Disney world in Florida. They are on contracts in Tokyo. So they could easily do the same with the Fairy Godmother. I have a friend who was friends with Ariel in Disneyland California and she got an offer to work in Tokyo. She is there for 2 years.
@@K_Pen Japan has really strict immigration laws - like laws that make Trump's immigration policies look like an open border. In all countries (even including immigration friendly countries such as Canada and Australia) age is a big factor. Japan doesn't want older immigrants, even if they are supposed to only be there temporarily. It allows young workers from rich countries for specific jobs because it figures they will come work in Japan for a few years (and be net contributors to taxes vs. using services) and then go back home. So I think Disney would have a hard time recruiting older workers. I know older people who recently retired who would love the opportunity, but it would just be way too much hassle for Disney to make it work.
I honestly started tearing up when i saw Jenn tearing up, and now i just look very funny sitting at work half crying! I'm so happy for the both of you, you deserve it!
Everything in Japan is so kawaii!! Based on the intro, I'm guessing you're back home now, so I won't make any recommendations about...stuff. But it was so gratifying to finally see Elsa in the Electric Parade! Japan prizes politeness and concern for your neighbor's comfort/welfare. We could use some of that in our country. The fireworks were amazing, and, OMG, they had a sakura (cherry blossom) shaped one! What a thrill to see you doing Tokyo AND Disney! LOVE this!
The one thing that always amazes me when I visit those parks, as well as Paris and Hong Kong, lack of strollers and electric wheelchairs in the parks. Tim, did you notice the walkways are so much more open without 1000s of strollers everywhere?
It makes a big difference. One of the worst things about Walt Disney World is the insane amount of strollers and people on those electric scooter things. And people are polite too - moving through crowds is so much easier.
Not inconveniencing people is a big part of their culture even if it’s at your own expense so I’m not surprised that Japanese people would be conscious of this and maybe avoid it

The electrical parade is stunning. Hitting Disneyland, trying to finagle a trip to Disney World into that trip and then you show me the beauty of Japan Disney at night. AAAAAAGGHHH!

omgggg tokyo disney looks AMAZING!!! all that cool food! also i totally started crying when jenn did. i get emotional like that when im someplace beautiful and i just can't believe it.
Jen crying at the parade, reminded me of my first trip to Disneyland in California. I was standing half next to and half behind a man during the afternoon parade and he didn’t speak English. I was crying because it had finally hit me that I was in Disneyland but the man thought I was crying because I couldn’t see. He dragged me in front of me and I had a perfect view. All of the characters came and gave me high fives and everything. It’s one of my favorite memories.
Is it just me or does the fairy godmother give anyone else the chills? I’m so used to the Orlando one being a lovely older women cast member with no mask, so the masked character creeps me out a bit.
Thanks for sharing experience. Giving me expectations/ideas of when I go there, hopefully next year! Yes, Japanese culture includes manners/politeness/respect for others, which I wish we all shared...
aww when jenn cried and you guys after you rode pooh was just awesome. i almost cried too because it shows you are never too old and that’s like our childhood. i agree i’m always just so happy to be at any disney park. ugh one day i will be there. and one day i will meet you guys!! love it :)

My favorite part of the video is when Jen got emotional about being at Tokyo Disney because that would be me!!! So happy you both got to go and share it with the rest of us.
I have some questions about the princesses. Those princesses look like the ones we have in Orlando. Meaning they don't look to be of Asian dissent. Why is that? Do they purposely choose "American looking" girls because they look much more like the cartoon? Do those princesses come from the US and work over there kind of like what they do in Epcot in Orlando? Do they speak Japanese?
They hold auditions in the US for Disneyland in Tokyo and Hong Kong not sure if they do for Shanghai too. They offer contracts then for like 6+ months I think it depends on the visa they offer. I don't think they need to speak the language. My friend got offered a position as Belle at Disneyland Hong kong but didn't take it as the contract was too long for her.
All of the princesses at the Asian Disney parks are from the US, Europe, and Australia. They are all contracted performers with contracts ranging from 7 to 14 months with options for extensions. The majority of them had already performed for Disneyland/Walt Disney World before auditioning for an overseas contract.
Been to both Tokyo Disneyland and Sea now with my wife as we live just down the street from them! But seeing it through someone else’s experience is always fun to! Especially since you’re not familiar with the customs! Come back again in the near future you guys and hopefully we’ll cross paths there!☺️👍
Presley and Danielle PD & DP for the most part no. It's usually not a problem because the cast will do their absolute best to help you. In many cases when I needed to find something the CM would just walk me over to it if they didn't know how to explain. For more complicated issues there are English speaking cast and they are very good about finding an English speaker of you need one.
We've been twice and never had a problem, every CM we've spoke to has either known English or has got another CM to help you. That goes for Japan in general though.
Jen when I saw the 'happiness is here' parade in Tokyo, I cried...... Not once or twice but three times... I had no idea what was happening and just joined the crowed... Parade started and I burst into tears...composed myself only to burst into tears again over Mary Poppins then all over agin over Alice... Disney parades are iconic, and when you grow up with all things Disney it's overwhelming.... I know they are just people dressed up, I can't help it... You should RUclips the Happiness is Here parade.... It's so happy and full of life...
Wow! Rarely seen characters riding in the teacups alongside visitors? Now THAT is some real Disney magic.

But seeing it through someone else’s experience is always fun to! Especially since you’re not familiar with the customs!
Come back again in the near future you guys and hopefully we’ll cross paths there!☺️👍
Do the cast members speak English?
Presley and Danielle PD & DP for the most part no. It's usually not a problem because the cast will do their absolute best to help you. In many cases when I needed to find something the CM would just walk me over to it if they didn't know how to explain. For more complicated issues there are English speaking cast and they are very good about finding an English speaker of you need one.
Hey wear a button that say that they speak English
We've been twice and never had a problem, every CM we've spoke to has either known English or has got another CM to help you. That goes for Japan in general though.
When I went we didn’t really have to talk to CMs and we could just type on google translate
They don't really speak English but they are still all very helpful. Japanese people are the nicest.
Seeing Jenn emotional got me emotional! She’s so sweet!! I’m so happy you guys were able to experience this!
rapunzel and eugene riding the teacups together has to be the cutest thing i've ever seen in all my years of living.
Their Small World is INCREDIBLE!!!
Christopher Robin’s room would definitely make me cry in person!!!
When Jen cried I really wanted to cry aswell. It's that Disney magic. Really miss it.
