In that kind of moment, I wish there was not fear , so that he can calmly wait for the cost to arrive and then they see his side of the story and then they see her side of the story and maybe she even finds her phone during that point and everyone realizes she just wasted the cops' time.
@K M R True. Any reasonable human being in any country apart from America would just simply show their pockets and even try to help her find the phone. same thing would have happened with a white person but it wouldnt be on the news. As soon as someone touches a black person it's racist. She just wanted to know where her phone went. Nothing racist here.
Unfortunately there is a lot of truth to this comment and quote. To people who have nothing nice to say and put others down from behind their computer screen and just being nasty… Not much left to say. Misery is always wanting others to be miserable too! Instead of being kind and positive. It’s really not necessary (being mean) and being kind should not be so difficult. Wishing everyone well. Truly! To all: Stay Safe and Be Well!
Emptying his pocket as a black man being accused of stealing is the most effective self-preservation technique in that situation in America. Imagine someone else had truly stolen and taken the phone away-emptying the pocket would still have calmed the accuser down. Otherwise, the situation would continue to escalate between the accused and his accuser, and someone could have called a cop. Unfortunately, a trigger-hungry racist cop might be the first responder, and that young innocent man could have been singing ‘HALLELUYAH’ in heaven by now.
On the plus side, she actually apologized, but honestly she should've emptied out her purse before she was quick to accusing people. Kinley's girlfriend was quick to take out her camera and film the commotion, because like she said "It was gonna get STUPID fast".
She knew it was in her purse mid way through. She wasn't looking, just shuffling items back and forth. She apologized to save face, not that she actually cared.
She apologized because she was embarrassed not because she felt bad. If she thought he had her phone she should've asked the couple "hey I think I misplaced my phone, do you mind calling it?" Bet they would've said yes and even though she profiled him at least she would've saved that man the embarrassment when she was proven wrong. I wonder what her reaction would've been if she wasn't on camera.
This actually happened to me at college once where I was accused of stealing a phone by a random student in a locker because I was the only back student in there . I didn't make a big deal out of it during that time but looking back I should have knocked his ass out.

The thing that is disturbing to me is that yes, she's an idiot and shouldn't have accused anyone of stealing anything without properly looking but the way they titled it is nothing more than race baiting, and they know it. This had nothing to do with the fact that this man is black, but they make sure to put that in the title just like everything else they show to make people look racist. It's ridiculous and it's long past pathetic. Media just wants another civil war and if they keep it up, it is going to happen.
@@aurorasstorm5877 Actually, I wouldn’t agree this wasn’t about race. I’m not instigating here, but the man was with a friend (the person recording) who isn’t black. And even after he emptied his pockets, the woman still stated he had the phone. Not once did she say that maybe he passed it to his friend or told the young girl that she should also empty her pockets. The woman just kept pointing the finger at the man. Why didn’t she say it was both of them? The only answer I can gather is that because the girl isn’t black, so the woman didn’t bother to include her. Of course this is my opinion, but that’s what it looks like happened here.

Yeah, my purse often seems likd it may as well be a cave, or a bottomless pit. I practically have to "empty it out" to find my phone, my keys, a pen, any gd thing in it!! I think I'm gonna stop carrying one, especially since I don't use most of the c**p I got in it, anyway. But, as heavy as it is, I can at least give a good "whack", possibly even a "nice concussion" to anybody I hit with it who is trying anything "hostile" with me. @@estherellis6032 Right. Even though he had no obligation to, it still shows a lot of character on his end to have done so.
Not once did she say that maybe he passed it to his friend or told the young girl that she should also empty her pockets. The woman just kept pointing the finger at the man.
