@@bladethebeast2 originally I tried to have companion but there was too many good cards I’d have to cut. I did consider running them but immediately dropped the idea for a couple reasons. I felt answering one to at max 3 threats a turn was already good and it’s already mana intensive to be equipping equipments again later on in the turn. But the biggest reason is just equipment decks are hard to be consistent, any build I’ve ever done for equipment decks I’m always sacrificing so many strong protection, draw spells, or enough equipments for the deck to function every time. I’ve also learned in my play group if you rely too much on the commander you just lose. Captain America is def nice at 3 mana and easy to recast but I didn’t wanna give my opponents any more reason to kill him than they already have. Having a commander that can kill creatures without much issue doesn’t tend to last long as you may already have felt depending on what you play. For me it’s Belakor. Thanks for comment and yeah you have a good point!
@@MAGWAIIMTG i haven't run an equipment commander before. Mostly play hogaak. You can just run zirda in the 99, no need for companion I like the cost reduction cards because it seems like youll be able to fling someone to death, also my build is much more focused on the throw aspect. Neko te and mjolnir and kusari-gama, basalisk collar to control the board. A bunch of free equip abilities like puresteel paladin, ardenn, bruanor, codsworth, brass squire, constantly handing cap things to throw. You can wait till after damage to get bonus damage, you can negotiate deals and not kill certain peoples stuff. With fiendlash you can ping cap himself to then deal his power as damage to someone. Screaming nemesis can just take certain decks out of the game from a ping. Caps gonna be a target but hes also gonna be super hard to kill alot of the time. Lots of haste equipment he can pickup the turn he comes down to start beating face
As somebody who has an unhealthy obsession with Sunforger, I’m very interested in a Cap deck. Your build looks fun; I can’t see anything I’d want to change right away.
@@jchinnjr Sunforger is quite the card. Decent amount of good options I didn’t even include cause I couldn’t fit it all. Jeskai colors are probably the best for sunforger I would imagine so I had to include it. And thanks!! I’ll take that as a compliment! I really could see captain America being built in a lot of ways so please change it up. I honestly think he’s like top 2 equipment commanders. I really have no complaints and he has a lot explosive capabilities for dmg, destroying creatures, lifegain, and a combo.
@@Camgotay can definitely understand playing it especially with Sunforger! I either forgot to put it in or I just value straight to hand tutors. Either way, great card and I couldn’t argue wanting to play it.
You seem to misunderstand caps throw ability. He divides the damage. If you throw a 3 mana equipment you can deal all 3 damage to one target, split it to 2 and 1 to two targets, or 1 damage to three targets.
You should be running training grounds and zirda to reduce caps throw cost. Also "Neko-te" is a powerhouse for cap.

I really like this build. Looks fun. I’m surprised no enlightened tutor though.

Working on my editing, sometimes my webcam hates me. Thanks for watching regardless. Life can be stressful so have some fun and have a good one!
