This is so weird. I literally just bought a laptop with this chip to allow for very basic gaming. But it’s performing terribly. Low on Fortnite looks sub 15fps and subnautica on lowest settings is probably sub 10fps. Going to return for a cheaper laptop if I can’t get it working faster as only paid for the iris xe to get gaming.

I have a HP ProBook with Intel Core i5-1135G7, RAM 16 GB and Intel Iris Xe. I tried to play Apex and I got an average of 40 fps with 720p and low settings. Although the fps were low, the game experience was pretty smooth and I got quite impressed also by the fact that my laptop didn’t overheat at all (
Although this performance is not good, but if we consider the fact that this is an integrated gpu, those integrated gpus, which couldn't run the games at all without crashing, no matter how lower the settings, then this is a pretty awesome deal. Note:- For those of you who are thinking why such an expensive laptop has such a weak gpu, I mean you can easily get a 1650 around this price, then they must know that this laptop is not made for gaming, it is made for portability, awesome screen etc. It is just that if u want to game for sometime, u can do it.
Thanks for the very informative video! I'll be getting this laptop but with the MX350 GPU which might yield a slightly better performance for standalone gaming. I'm also planning to get a GPU dock and use it docked with a GTX1070 so it'll be interesting to see how much that improves things and whether the CPU would be a bottleneck.

So you don't really need the best graphics card to run Planet Coaster? I'm looking for a new laptop, maybe the HP Victus 16 (Nvidia RTX 3050). But if I play the game on medium with an Intel Iris Xe, it should be acceptable if the CPU is 16gb RAM? Or what should I look for in the laptop if I choose the Iris Xe?
The iris xe is not really made for gaming. It CAN game. But in planet coaster the game itself is the biggest problem. In big parks even a super fast pc can't deliver good fps. But if gaming is important to you you should consider a laptop with a dedicated GPU (like your mentioned up victus)

Honestly wild what's possible with integrated graphics these days. It's not AAA game capable but this chip is in a Thinkpad, we can run these games on a fucking Thinkpad
I bought a Lenovo Ideapad 3 with the i51135g7 with the Intel XE graphics. Running older games and emulators works great. More modern games such as Tropico 6 run with a respectable 30 fps on medium settings.
Just purchased a HP 17in. Evny, that comes with one of these GPUs, it was not purchased as a gaming laptop, but more as a desktop replacement, nice to see that it will run some older games. I still play Division 1 and 2.
I have a 15.6-inch Asus Vivobook, with 12 ram and expandable, the speed of the ram is 3200 mhz, with a processor, core i5 11th generation, iris xe graphic, and it runs to 1080 Genshin Impact with the visual effects ( medium-high) at 30 FPS. They are portable laptops with awesome screen, premium built and having an integrated gpu, just in case the person wants to game too. Also, this has oled screen. The specs that I'm getting with this current laptop, its hard to find on a gaming laptop cause I'm paying more for the graphics card instead of the specs. Something is very wrong with this test. I'm running Genshin Impact at 1920x1200, lowest settings at stable 60fps. You're showing 34 FPS, i never dropped this low unless i switched to 2520x1680. I have Huawei Matebook 14s with i5-11300H and Intel Iris Xe.
Question, for my i3 10110u, eGPU wattage is included in total cpu consumption in hwinfo. Is this still the case on 11th gen (CPU + eGPU = 28W max), or are they separate now? (CPU + eGPU = 41W max)
I brought HP pavilion 15 with 1240P and intel iris xe graphics card...12GB RAM... I downloaded ac revelations and with max graphics it provided me 20fps and lowest 35fps.... I saw many videos of gaming test for this and it showed 50-60fps in GTA V max settings and many good games like RDR2 in low settings but AC REVELATIONS has concerned me regarding this. Please HELP me.
The only one i dont agree with (play it myself sometimes) would be genshin, running it on a pc with intel iris Xe, 6gb ram, I5, on highest settings i get 50-60 fps, lowest goes way higher as one would expect

no, this is a 4 cores CPU, 4700u has 8 cores. but intel tiger lake does have better iGPU, so if you are a light gamer, I will recommend tiger lake. But if you looking for better over all performance, definitely go with amd.
@@yyjet There are actually cheaper options like the Ryzen 5 3400g when you are going to build a very budget tight computer, it has a Vega 11 that has the same performance as the GT 1030, which is really good for a cheap integrated gpu
Has anyone tried playing the game Teardown on this GPU? I'm addicted to it but am not a hardcore enough gamer to justify a gaming laptop. I can currently run it on 720p low on the Geforce 940 MX laptop I have now.
I played cyberpunk 2077 on 1080p low settings. Get average of 20 fps around that. I would recommend you to buy ryzen 5 5000 series and vega graphics instead of intel 11 gen and intel xe as it is higher in price
@@FubarMike when compare with ryzen 5 4000 series with vega graohics, it almost similar in terms of performance but intel will lose to 5000 series. Somehow i heard that amd is more efficient than intel hence the power consumption is lower

Use intel windows command center and adjust the game settings from there. Perhaps might increase some fps

I recently got 100+ fps on GW2. I usually get 50 fps, but probably a driver update fixed things up. Good job Intel😊

Probably you have the lpddr4 ram that boost the performances, plus the performance mode that overclok the cpu/gpu requiring the external power plugged

runs mhw:i on low at about 47 fps. wouldnt risk it though. the laptop got SUPER hot and i could hear the fan running.

To be honest, there's a huge difference in the performance among laptops with the iris xe.
Something is very wrong with this test. I'm running Genshin Impact at 1920x1200, lowest settings at stable 60fps. You're showing 34 FPS, i never dropped this low unless i switched to 2520x1680. I have Huawei Matebook 14s with i5-11300H and Intel Iris Xe.

Question, for my i3 10110u, eGPU wattage is included in total cpu consumption in hwinfo.
Is this still the case on 11th gen (CPU + eGPU = 28W max), or are they separate now? (CPU + eGPU = 41W max)
Energy and ram the lpddr4 boost the performance and 8gb aren't enough
can you add vram in bio and up tdp also then re-test and maybe just a couple games instead of so many with this setting change
You can't change the vram size and if you could it would not change anything. Not a single fps.
I brought HP pavilion 15 with 1240P and intel iris xe graphics card...12GB RAM... I downloaded ac revelations and with max graphics it provided me 20fps and lowest 35fps.... I saw many videos of gaming test for this and it showed 50-60fps in GTA V max settings and many good games like RDR2 in low settings but AC REVELATIONS has concerned me regarding this. Please HELP me.
The only one i dont agree with (play it myself sometimes) would be genshin, running it on a pc with intel iris Xe, 6gb ram, I5, on highest settings i get 50-60 fps, lowest goes way higher as one would expect

no, this is a 4 cores CPU, 4700u has 8 cores. but intel tiger lake does have better iGPU, so if you are a light gamer, I will recommend tiger lake. But if you looking for better over all performance, definitely go with amd.
@@yyjet There are actually cheaper options like the Ryzen 5 3400g when you are going to build a very budget tight computer, it has a Vega 11 that has the same performance as the GT 1030, which is really good for a cheap integrated gpu

Has anyone tried playing the game Teardown on this GPU? I'm addicted to it but am not a hardcore enough gamer to justify a gaming laptop. I can currently run it on 720p low on the Geforce 940 MX laptop I have now.
I played cyberpunk 2077 on 1080p low settings. Get average of 20 fps around that. I would recommend you to buy ryzen 5 5000 series and vega graphics instead of intel 11 gen and intel xe as it is higher in price

@@FubarMike when compare with ryzen 5 4000 series with vega graohics, it almost similar in terms of performance but intel will lose to 5000 series. Somehow i heard that amd is more efficient than intel hence the power consumption is lower

So Intel has surpassed AMD with better IGPU perfomance. Also don't forget that it has AV1 support.

Yes. You can. Although ac odyssey isn't "light" gaming. But it will work "okay" in 720p and low settings.
